Xperia z2 design

Hi.in most of xperia z2 display panel and body of the phone have small distance.i want to khnow will it effect on it's water proof Feature?(one time i put it in noraml water)

I can't see the pictures until they are approved by a moderator, if you are referring about the gap in between the lcd and the housing, then that's normal. My understanding on this is that such gap helps prevent breaking the screen, with that said, the screen will crack if you drop it.

    Hi Sony,
I just want to share my problems on my Xperia Z2.
First is the sd card error message always pops up "unexpected removal of sd card".
Second is when Im using the SBH52 headset for text to speech like for email and facebook notifications, the volume is always at low when starts to speech. Even I increased the volume it will go back to low volume when starts to read again.
Please help to solve this issue. Your xperia Z2 design great and I love it.
    Thank you and regards,

I suggest you try an reinsert the micro SD card to make sure it goes in properly.

  • The Xperia Z1 is the best mobile device I have owned so far.....but for one annoying flaw.....

OK, I have owned the Z1 for around 6 months now, and I have LOVED the product...I more or less have no complaints, and its become pretty much my favorite electronic device, except for my gaming PC : D
I use it day in day out, listen to the radio, watch video, surf the web, exepriment with all kinds of the incredible apps, and of course, play games (and it will be gaming that my comment is primarily about)
Thing is....gaming on the Xpeia Z1 is a GOOD experience....excellent GPU performance (though it gets HOT! ...really noticeably HOT..not warm....**bleep** it gets hot! : D), great screen, great sound with headphones (though the headphones jack tends to get in the way when holding the unit in landscape), and if playing without headphones, I find my hand covers the speaker and totally muffles the sound!
These are just small niggles, but nevertheless, things I notice, that I would desire to be slightly changed if I had the chance, but I realise they are issues with the hardware and design, so Im happy to wait unitl I get my next phone (likely the Xperia that comes out in 18 months when my contract is up!) and see how they are dealt with through the evolution of the series.
These are just mega picky things Ive noticed in an otherwise perfect design (for me....just my opinion).
However...the only thing that REALLY REALLY REALLY ticks me off, is a software issue....that has apparently been dealt with via the 'Immersive Mode' feature in Kitkat 4.4.4 (which I am running on my Xperia)....
That is the 'Soft keys' not disapearing in games, and taking up quite a large chunk of screen real estate.....in a very annoying place that depending on the game, can even quite easily be accidentally touched, kicking the unwary user out of the game,! (ARRRGHHH!)
Now I realise that proper support for 'Immersive mode' is actually up to the developers (am i right in thinking this?) and I have tried a couple of games that advertise support, and its all well and good, and works fine, also my comic book reader supports it, and so I get ALL my screen for books (rarely, I use HDX for that), documents and comics....and of course the built in video player has seemingly ALWAYS supported complete fullscreen without these **bleep** buttons getting in the way....
And its such a GREAT screen too....does anyone know exaclty WHY it is, that the Xperia series in particular sacrifices so much screen to these buttons while gaming?
All games Ive tried have the 'Top Bar' (with battery, signal and time etc..nto sure what its called officially)...automatically hidden..so why not the 'bottom bar?'..the menu keys? Especially since the strip of screen is so HUGE!!
    To show 3 **bleep** buttons!
What really makes me wonder, is that even my Kindle Fire HDX (which I use primarily for actualy reading books/newspaper/articles) and that I consider an 'inferior' device  in most respects..actually has a 'hide soft keys' feature...where in games and apps the 3 buttons and strip of screen are replaced by a very small and unobtrusive little tab...that you simply swipe out to expose the keys....
    A GREAT solutuion!
Why isnt there something like this on the Xperia series?
I have deliberately explained myself fully here because I have become very frustrated wth this just recently,  as I have been playing a lot of the brilliant games by the developer RORTOS...that makes impressive flight simulator games....games that (Particularly F-18 Carrier landings Pro 2) cannot run very well on my Kindle FIre HDX....
They play beautifully smoothly while maxed out on the Z1 though....(and the same goes for GTA Vice City, that I have been enjoying playing again on mobile on the way to work every morning : D...thanks Sony and Rockstar for a great start to my workday xD)
BUT these great games are being MARRED quite badly by those DAMNED BUTTONS!!
In F18 Carrier Landings Pro 2 and Airfighters (2 RORTOS games that are really superb if you like flight sims) several controls are positioned at the edge of the screen...and the soft keys are right in the way...so they are functionally gettiing in the way...
and whats more, they ruin the original design philosophy of the Xperia Z1...the design philosophy of 'OmniBalance'..because the game image is not equidistant from the left  AND the right side...but shunted one side or the other, because of these **bleep** buttons!
(I hope I have explaiend this, and you can picture what I mean...it really irritates me : D)
Yes I am aware of a few apps that are available, both root and non root solutions.. but I have found them all too imperfect...just not good enough, too clunky, too much configuring and messing around to get them to work...and even then they have too much impact on other functions to be worth it for me...since i do use my Z1 for a LOT of different things.....
The ones Ive tried are fine as kind of Dev Tools...but I really love the overall design of the Z1...and I like to KEEP it beautiful and slick to use...as slick as it looks...(yep, I like the cosmetics so much, I cant even bring myself to keep it in a case xD...I just have to be careful with it...and its hardly got a scratch so far...just a few hairline type ones : (....
So...can Sony please add a little feature, like the small tab that I mention above on the Kindle Fire HDX, to hide those keys?
I have messaged RORTOS about them supporting Immersive mode fully, and they said they would look into it (of course they said that!), bur that most devices these days ALREADY hide the soft keys in games...and in my experience, thats true!
Out of 5 or 6 devices Ive played games on, i have to say that the Xperia series is easily the most effected by this issue.
and its ANNOYING as **bleep**...and I KNOW Im not the only one that thinks this...but I havent found an official Sony response (or indeed Android or Developer one) about what is likely to be done.
So does anyone have any news?
Does anyone know why one of the best screens and best GFX performers in a mobile device is still suffering from the soft keys being present at all times in games?....(except every now and then Ive noticed the keys are slightly camoflaged, as white dots....the strip of screen is still taken up, but the actual key icons are reduced to white dots (anyone else seen this?) but this just seems to happen randomly......sometimes it does that, mostly it does NOT...and besides, its not a real solution anyway...since a chunk of screen is STILL used up by it....
Please Sony, you use a custom Android,  just liek Amazon do on the Kindle Fire HDX (though admittedly, not quite SO customised xD), and THEY can hide these keys without immersive Mode support...
    Why cant Sony?
    rant over...
I still totally love the phone..Im only going off on one like this because I love everything else about it...but this one thing I think is actually a pretty big deal.....so please address it ..
    Please?
    All the ebst
    jim.
(PS I am also really harrassing RORTOS about supporting Immersive Mode too....if ALL the Devs supported it, then this wont be an problem (I suppose anyway?)....but Im not sure if there is an issue about how many people are actually USING KitKat 4.4.4...I would guess a LOT but perhaps not quite enough to make a special effort for?....anyway...Im not just picking on Sony : D)
    rant really over.....for now.....

You had to have some kudos for the effort put in to your thread as week as the point you make.

  • XPERIA Z -What kind of service/SUPPORT standards do you have? Is there any at all?

Hi guys. Hello sony mobile people. My name is Isaiah and I'm from Manila, Philippines. I am a solid sony fan boy for morethan 10 years now (mobile phones). Or maybe was a solid sony fan boy. Not until yesterday happened. 12/17/2013.
I heavily supported sony mobile products back when it was still sony ericsson. From the K-models, to vivaz, and up until to the xperia. I even strongly recommend it to my friends and family and keep persuading them to switch to a sony mobile device because of its outstanding design, features, and solid build quality. And I'm always excited when there is a new model or flagship mobile device to be released by sony. Correct me if I'm wrong but the engineers I guess were hurrying up to put out this new waterproof mobile devices out there without carefully checking, testing, and making sure that your phones are absolutely what they say they are.
I'm a chef. I work in the kitchen. Some Eight years ago I was working in the kitchen with my newly acquired sony phone, the k700i to be exact. I was very proud of it for it was my very first coloured phone with camera. I kept it inside the chest pocket of my Chef's jacket when suddenly I reached out on an Ice Chest full of cold water, and as i leaned to reach out for a bucket of ice, my unconcious mind forgot about the law of gravity. So the phone eventually and immediately slipped outside my pocket and went directly inside of the ice chest and fully submerged in very cold water. It was turned on and on standby mode. No matter how fast I reacted to retrieve it from the ice cold water it was already too late. By the moment I had it the screen was fully black. No power button could even wake it up. Long story short, the phone died right then and there. It wasnt waterproof and it was totally my fault. I took some time for me to move on for that was a very expensive device back then. It was such a loss.
After that incident I kept on wishing that one day sony would make a device which is waterproof or something that would be able to withstand the heat, the chaos, the wet, the dirty, and the sticky environment of the kitchen. Years have passed and now I have my own restaurant. Cooking even more, staying even more longer inside the kitchen. One of my very favorites was the Xperia Arc S. I bought two, one white and one black. My friends thought it was weird and stupid of me to get two units of the same brand and model. I say it was the obsession to have nice things that lead me to have both, it made me happy.  And finally Sony releases the Xperia Z.
It was the ultimate dream come true.
I bought two units in an instant. One for me and one for my fiancee who also works in the kitchen.
We loved it. And everything about it. It suited our lifestyle perfectly. Great photos, internet connectivity, water proof, great size, and extremely good looking.
Not until her phone started to charge in a funny manner. The phone just wont charge 100% it would stop at around 54% and never reach anything beyond it. We didnt mind for as long as we had hopes it would go back to normal.
Then after a week. It wouldnt charge anymore until the battery went 0%. It died.
Then charging it was useless. It wont charge at all. We left it on the charger for 30 minutes. An hour. Three hours. Still nothing. We tried all trouble shooting provided by the sony website. Still nothing.
I checked for the pink and red discoloration indicators on all ports. The one on top with the earphone jack was pink. And we never even went to a pool or submerged it under water. The last time it got wet was due to wiping it clean using a wetwipes.
and all ports were always closed properly. The only time we open it is when we charge it. So it is a total mystery to us how the water got in. Could it be the defect came from the plug of the port itself?  Probably. Or our unit was poorly made.
I went to the sony mobile center here in our country to have them fix it and check it. It seems like the problem of my phone was hardware according to them. And they suggest that I just purchase a new unit because there is no way to fix our unit anymore.
Oh my god. This phone aint even half a year old and they want me to buy a new one just because fixing it would amount to the price of a new one. As if its that easy to buy a new one. I feel like I have been scammed big time. The phone doesnt even have bumps or scrathces at all because of protective casings and it just died like that. Like it had a heart attack and can no longer be revived.
The customer support really surprised me. It was as if they were very used to answering it that way because maybe I wasn't the first one to have that kind of problem. And by the way I bought my fiancee a Xperia Z Ultra the day the xperia z died. Im planning to surprise her with it for christmas. But I just got depressed with this incident. I mean I am making Sony Mobile rich because I keep buying your products and in return when I, the customer, needs help or reasoning, repair, or any positive promises from you this is what I get. You tell me to just buy another one. Because youre too proud to tell in my face that your product is not defective at all and the fault is mine. And you wouldn't do anything about it.
You see, the trust that I had with your company for a very long time took years to build. My loyalty to the brand is just so solid.
And it took just one defective model to ruin it. One reasonless suggestion of go ahead and just buy another one as if it costs less than a dollar. Warranty? What for? You wont even listen to your cutomers around the world. More like buy at your own risk, or buy our products because you are filthy rich and when a defective one catches you just buy another one coz money dont cost a thing.  So to the engineers. Don't say that it is waterproof if it really aint. have you really even tried testing it on all different scenarios? Really? I just hope the Z ultra I purchased wont die as well. If it does. I'll start telling and suggesting everyone in my community to beware of your products. You can't even fix your own ceations properly and in a humanely manner. It is not as if my phone blew up.
You know what is more annoying is the fact that important information, pictures, files, videos, and numbers can never be retrieved on that xperia z. And that is the priceless part. And i am surprised that you guys can't really do anything about it. Xperia is experience right? I guess its true what they say. Experience Zzzzz.... it will now be sleeping forever.
Word of advice. Please. Learn how to take care of your customers. Especially the loyal ones. They are one of the major reasons why other people are switching to your brand. When left unsatisfied, they can also do otherwise. Thank you for wasting my money. make believe. sure
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Yes I cannot deny the fact that errors and flaws are always present in such mobile devices due to extremely large or volume productions. But then again. We are paying customers who expect nothing but seamless service and performance that is why we pay premium for something premium. From what I see this warranties are not guarantees at all. We pay a lot so we expect a lot. We deserve respect. The company could at least hire a real mobile technician, as if they can't afford to hire one.
We can consider but only to a certain point. But matters like this wherein priceless information is lost, unretrievable, and more important information stored on the phone memory they could at least be more dependable in giving back to you.
From what I have read form other complains regarding this similar topic, Xperia Care is not doing anything at all, instead they answer like robots with the same messages and solutions that don't even work at all. And they said they have admins here who monitors everything all the time. To answer our queries. But I guess my plead is a good example of the kind of actions they are trying to do, they are doing nothing at all. They should name this place Xperia Don't Care or maybe they just forgot to place the Don't part.
This is hard earned money that I used to buy their products, blood, sweat, and sleepless working nights just to buy their products. By the looks of it they are treating their products as a disposable one. Something that would not last for half or one fourth of a lifetime. This kind of dissapointment that I have will keep on growing and other customers dissapointment will grow stroger as well. In due time it will lead to the failure of the whole brand of the mobile giant. This company does not understand that it will only take a spark to set the whole angry and unsatisfied customers on fire towards the brand name.
They keep claiming stuff, it feels like they are just scamming the customers of their hard earned money to buy something defective and disposable. Let us see on how they could cope up with social media, exposing how damaging their products are and how they treat their customers when a defective item comes up.

  • Hi... I would like to purchase a Tablet Sony Xperia Z 2 10.1 (the last one of the Z series) and I was told that Adobe does not support Sony anymore.... I need to be able to open and read Adobe PDF files and I would like to know if this tablet can still us

Hi... I would like to purchase a Tablet Sony Xperia Z 2 10.1 (the last one of the Z series) and I was told that Adobe does not support Sony anymore.... I need to be able to open and read Adobe PDF files and I would like to know if this tablet can still use Flash Player...
Is there anyo who can help me with this? I asked in the shop and I was told "yes of course" , but when I contacted Sony directly I was advised to check with Adobe as apparently in the recent months Adobe and Sony haven't been getting along anymore...

You may be mixing up two entirely different Adobe products.
    1. Adobe Flash Player. Needed to view web pages designed with Flash. Not needed to view PDF files. Not available for Android (not just Sony).
    2. Adobe Reader. Reads PDF files. However, the Android can also read most PDF files without needing Adobe Reader.

  • Worth buying the Xperia Z3 Compact ? And a question about headphones.

Worth buying the Xperia Z3 Compact, compared to Xperia Z3?
And a doubt. I have had other Xperias, and headphones from other brands did not work well with him, this ''Z3 line'' is yet? It only works with Sony headphones?
    Thank You!

Well, the headphone jack is designed to be compatible with Noise Cancelling headphones from Sony, that uses 5 pins in the pole, however, a regular 3 segments headphones should work without issues... the problem is if you try to use incompatible Headsets (the ones with microphones) since the use an additional segment and it my be located in a different way than what Sony uses.
My advice is, if you are not the most hardcore audiophile, that you get a medium range Bluetooth Headphones. Those will be compatible with your phone...
I have had Altec Lansing BackBeat 906, 903... Plantronics BackBeat 903+, and currently use the BackBeat Go2.
Out of those the Go2 are the best sounding headphones for me (I do not care for tons of bass, so the amount of bass with those is very good)... but the battery is bad, around 3.5 hours. The fit is good, people complain when trying to use as advertised, but I actually found a better way to place them, making a loop around and front of my ears......  Price ~70$
All previous ones had a battery of 7 hours, but the rubber material of the piece around your ear hardens with time and breaks (after a couple of years of use)... the Go2 seems to be better built.
Finally I would recommend to you the Jaybirds Bluebuds X if you are willing to pay 140~160 $.... with excellent battery life, and sound quality.
If you want to go cheaper... Sony's SBH line has plenty of option with good reviews... SBH20 being the cheapest
And if you want to go crazy expensive, Parrot Zik are over 400$ but apparently they are the best all around. I tried them once.

  • Camera problem in xperia z1

    hello,
why in (suprior auto) mode the caputre at 8 megapixels not 20 megapixels i have notice this at the details of my photos that i caputerd with my xperia z1 at (suprior auto) mode in 8 megapixels , although in manual mode you can change the resoultion to 20.7 megapixels but it's in 4:3 size so it's not in the full screen , please answer ?

This is how Sony have designed the software, they are using the same tech as Nokia do in their Lumia devices called 'Pixel Binning' in order to make better overall image quality.
There is currently no ability to change the resolution over 8mpx on the superior auto mode.

  • Xperia care do you really care?

    hello sony,
I am a loyal customer of this brand but  this loyalty is not paying off. I bought my xperia ZL because of the design. undoutedly it has the best design of all the xperia phones. recently is saw leacked images of xperia Z3 and i got really dissapointed. please why don't you get it that we hate large bezel...i repeat we(xperia users hate large bezel)! WE WANT SONY TO MAKE PHONES LIKE xperia ZL. small bezel is sexy. please learn from G3. this is frustrating for us. we wait for months and you eventually give us boring large bezel boring design. i won't change my brand but how long you want me to use xperia ZL. i want an improved version of ZL. btw we did not like xperia ZL2(its no near zl). work on it sony u are losing the battle. do something.please have a look at this design i wish you could make something like this and will literally beat samdung and other competitors out(http://gadgetsround.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/sony-xperia-z3-concept.jpg)
    thankyou

    Hi,
I understand that you don't like design of new xperia phones. But I'd like to ask you to DO NOT speak on behalf of all xperia users. I agree with you that Sony should introduce (design) successor of ZL and it would make more sense (from my point of view) to release one Z and one ZL successor a year, if there are two flag ships. But saying it that way makes your serious and legitimate complain (opinion) less serious. I don't want to be offensive. I just want to point out that your opinion is legitimate, but the way you said it is little bit controversial (or not the best possible). :-) :-)

  • Android M, When are we getting Android M? Which Xperias will be updated? etc

Android M was just announced today and there's no info as to when this update will be released.   The Android M release: improving the fundamentalsFor the M release, we focused on improving the core user experience of Android, from fixing thousands of bugs, to making some big changes to the fundamentals of the platform:  Permissions - We are giving users control of app permissions in the M release. Apps can trigger requests for permissions at runtime, in the right context, and users can choose whether to grant the permission. Making permission requests right when they’re needed means users can get up and running in your app faster. Also, users have easy access to manage all their app permissions in settings. On M, as a developer, you should design your app to prompt for permissions in context and account for permissions that don’t get granted. As more devices upgrade to M, app permission behavior will be a critical development flow to test. App links - We are making it even easier to link between apps. Android has always allowed apps to register to natively handle URLs. Now you can add an autoVerify attribute to your app manifest so that users can be linked deep into your native app without any disambiguation prompt. App links, along with App Indexing for Google search, make it easier for users to discover and re-engage with your app.
Battery - We’re making Android devices smarter about managing power through a new feature called Doze. With M, Android uses significant motion detection to learn if a device has been left unattended for a while. In this state, Android will exponentially back off background activity, trading off a little bit of app freshness for longer battery life. Consider how this may affect your app; for instance, if you’re building a chat app, you may want to make use of high priority messages to wake your app when the device is dozing.  Source Link

What about Android M on Xperia C4, will it support to XPERIA C4

  • Battery changes in newer Xperia phones ...

I am currently looking for a new (smart?) phone. Initially I found the newer Xperia models quite interesting ... until ...
I found most models do not allow changing the battery by the customer.
I see that Apple is crapping down their devices (batteries glued into MacBook, iPhone, ...) like that ... since I know that I have decided to keep my fingers from Apple products.
Seems like Sony is now walking the same ThrowAwayProduct path as Apple.
Folks, you know that people do have to change their phone's battery. You also know that it's even more likely with smart phones as they usually have more charge cycles / year than "old" regular mobiles.
For sure the majority of customers are also willing and capable to exchange the battery of their phone on their own - if you just let them.
I have no nerve to search for Sony service centers, find time during my working day to get the battery changed, wait there ... and finally spend money for few mechanical steps I would be able to do on my own if the device was properly designed.
I was really sooo close buying an Xperia ... now I look for another brand probably.
So when will Sony come back to greener paths?

Well, it's true that some of our models use a built in battery (for example Xperia T and Xperia S), and we have done so for some time (X10 Mini I believe was the first Android unit with built in battery). But we also offer products with replaceable batteries, for example Xperia V and Xperia J which are new models.

  • What happened to the iphone sleek design. Iphone 4 is ugly and boxy looking

really blew it with the iphone 4gs design. It looks like every other phone now. Its ugly. What happend to the sleek beautiful iphone that we have all come to known.

I think there are other brands that can do more than compete.
Depends what you compare them against. If it is pure hardware technical specification, then yes, there are other phones on the market that exceed the technical specifications of almost every individual iPhone feature.
However, Apple is not a purely hardware company. They spend at least as long, if not longer, on the software that runs on this hardware. And it is that combination of hardware and software that keeps Apple ahead.
What's the point in the most technologically advanced phone ever made, if the software to use it (user interface and operating system) is an absolute pig to use.
I'm lucky that I get to see and play around with most new phones that come out, including all the so-called "iPhone Killers" from Sony Ericsson, Nokia, HTC etc. etc.
So far, not one of them (despite having better technical specs in many cases) beats the iPhone in terms of the overall user experience - how easy, intuitive, seamless, slick and just plain enjoyable - the phones are to use.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia phones look great on paper and in the hand, but they are so annoying to use!! Unintuitive, sluggish, clunky. It's almost as though the software that runs these great bits of hardware is an afterthought, just done in the last few weeks before sale.

  • Horrible service for Xperia Z3 Compact

    To Whom It May Concern,
About 7 months ago in november i switched from my iphone to an xperia z3 through tmobile. when i got the phone i was really impressed with the design and feel of the phone, although not surprised as i researched many different android phones before deciding on pulling the trigger with the z3. The z3 came with a lot of information booklets on the phone itself, a charger with a usb cable, and a spare usb cover. i especially liked the way the flap for the usb (which was an inconvenience in and of itself seeing as how there were obviously other ways of waterproofing the usb) opened and closed with ease, as well as the premium feel of it. After living with it for about 3-4 months (until febuary) i decided to sell it and buy a Z3 compact instead. it came with most of the same things in the box but not a spare usb flap which i found odd but didn't really mind at the time. one of the main differences i noticed about my new phone was its inferior usb flap when compared to its larger brother, it felt like cheap plastic in comparison. About a week ago i noticed it was harder to close the usb flap then normal and after opening it noticed the rubber ring which keeps it waterproof is starting to peel off. After contacting customer support i was told that i am covered under warranty and that i had to send the phone in to get it replaced. When i asked how long it would take i was told 14 business days.
Before continuing i'd like to ask a Rhetorical question, who here can live without there phone for more than 2 weeks? the answer unless one is seriously technologically challenged, noone. A phone in this day and age is quinessential to everyday living. i personally rely on it daily to get to and from work utilizing, gps, mirrorlink, and streaming through tunein radio, and thats just on my commute.
Seeing as how i found it obsurd to be without my phone for 2 weeks for a plastic flap that i had the instructions to change myself (from the z3, and multiple online sources), i argued that i should be sent the flap. It just makes more sense, why should sony have to pay its technicians to inspect a phone for a simple flap replacement. upon arguing this i was told flat out that this wasn't an option rudely. When i asked why i was given several answers, some obviously blatant lies to try and justify sony's stance, and others conflicting with information i recieved prior (i called 4 times so far). Some of the more noteable answers i recieved so far are as follows, "we currently don't have the means to ship out replacements", "Sony only sends out replacement flaps for the Z1" (conflicted with first answer i recieved), "we need to remove the backplate of the phone to replace the flap" (blatant lie), "we need to pressure test the phone before sending it back" (can be done by the user and conflicts with second answer), and the list goes on. Honestly i have been a big fan of sony from a young age, i have had every single console made by sony, own a sony tv, have also owned several iterations of the walkman.
I find Sony Mobile's support desperately lacking in comparisson to their competition and it is my opinion that a company should try to keep as many customers as possible in a department that is bleeding money consistantly. it isn't right that as a customer i am consistantly given the run around and lied to, and if sony doesn't have the means to accomadate a fix for such a simple problem will lose me as a customer come september. i rely on my phones ability to be watertight and am asking as a last resort for help from this department as it is my last resort before giving up hope on sony completely.
So i ask please help me bring  one of my phone's main features back up to par, and if help can't be found here please point me in the direction of who i may contact to get it. (i would prefer to send a letter)
    thank you
P.S. i have all the conversations with sony mobile communications recorded if you'd like to listen for yourself.

I don't know i love the design but the emphasis is on cam with the z1 and yes although it's better than any of the previous xperia models i still think photos are compressed to much and there's alot of oversharpening in the samples i've seen. Sony needs to let the user decied how big he/she want there photo size to be i mean that's what real camera phones let the users do it's all about choice and trust me i've only purchased sony phones in my life but i won't shell out the kind of money sony wants for this if the s4 is taking better pics with sony's in house optics. It hurts that samsung, apple and now lg can take sony's optics and produce superior photos because sony's software development is coming up short. Sorry if i sound bashful but as an electrical engineer I work to hard for my money to just give it away just cause Sony built a reputation for having the best even if right now they aren't giving me the best, just fix the cam software we all know you can beat the rest of oems but it seems you don't want to cause you all seem to think that if you do they will shop elsewhere for optics.
