Xperia z3 compact charge with dock dk48 is slow !

I use Ampere application to check amperage when xperia z3 compact charge with dock dk48 (I always charge on 15%)I see :from 15% to 89% so amperage 800mA-900mAfrom 90% to 100% so amperage 150mA-250mAand finally pin full charge 100% need 3 hours 10 minutesIt is slowand my question is : If I use dock dk48 to charge, it really does safe for my z3 compact ?????????

They should be equal, as long as the phone isn't used more when in the dock, which would make the charging slower.

  • Charging with Dock/Firewire cable

I know that the nano comes with a dock/usb cable and USB is required for syncing the nano. If I don't want to purchase the usb wall adapter for charging when I travel, can I use a dock/firewire cable and firewire wall charger that I already have?
    Thanks!

The nano doesn't actually come with a dock, just an adapter for future third-party accessories with a dock connector.
Anyway, yes, your existing dock and firewire cable will work fine for charging. I use this approach at work to charge mine and it's no problem at all. The nano is light enough that it can just sit on the dock connector even though it doesn't fit firmly into the space in the dock.

  • W520 only charges with docking station wall plug does not work

I have experienced this problem twice and am very confused about why it is occuring.
I usually use my W520 laptop on a docking station and when I am at home or travelling I keep it powered by with a wall adapter.  So at work it stays charged and operating from the docking station (i.e. ports on the bottom of the laptop).  When I am at home it stays charged by pulling it in using the Lenovo (170W power adapter).
Last year I was in China working and all of a sudden my laptop would no longer charge and would shutdown when the battery died) with the wall adapter.  I ended up buying a docking station and managed to keep it charged and operating that way.  Obtaining any type of warranty service in China was a major pain but the problem was diagnosed to be an issue with my motherboard.  I returned to Canada and had my computer replaced (computer was about 3 months old).
Now I am back in Canada and have the same problem with my new replacement laptop.  I am puzzled why this keeps happening.  Has this occured with anyone else?  Is the plug on the W520 not very good quality?  Any thoughts or suggestions will be super appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Actually everyone always thinks it is a problem with the power adapter cable but the cable I am using is the same one for my dock. I only had one cable for my dock and when I am travelling unpug it and use it when I am on the road.
Last time in China they took apart my computer and confirmed (I was watching them as they used the voltmeter) that power and proper voltgage was coming into my computer from the plug and all the way to the board (ie checking every interface along the way). Yet it was not charging the battery or providing power to run the computer. The only way to solv the problem was to use a dock. Only thing I could think of is that maybe something on the bottomdock connector is messed up and hence the computer believes it is connected to the dock and hence not wanting to provide power via the power adapter at the same time to avoid shorting out the board. Any thoughts?

  • Charging with dock

    Hey,
When I bought an iPod mini in 2004 it came along with a docking unit which you can plug into your wall to charge the ipod. Will this work with my iPod nano 3rd gen too?
Because when it is plugged into the nano the battery icon shows up as "Charged" and when I disconnect it it shows up as half full when it is in fact quite empty.

Yeah it should charge but it may not give you the accurate battery status.

  • Xperia z1 compact won't charge using USB, magnetic dock works fine!

My Xperia Z1 Compact suddenly stopped charging while using a regular charger connected through USB. But the same charger and cable works fine if connected through the magnetic docking station. Is there any logical explanation to this weird behaviour? Is there any quick fix? Is it possible to repair? Shall I send it in for repair?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
There might be something faulty with your USB-port. If you have tried several chargers but you experience the same behaviour, I would suggest that you visit nearest service center to have your phone examined by a technician. You can contact your local support team for further information about nearest service center and/or how to proceed with this in the best possible way:

  • Can't pair Xperia Z1 Compact with JBL Charge

    Hi,
I can't pair my Xperia Z1 Compact with the JBL Charge (via bluetooth)...
When I turn on bluetooth, the JBL Charge doesn't pop up in the list of available devices.
If I try to do that with the Iphone I don't have no problem. The JBL Charge pops up and I can connect directly.
Why doesn't see the Z1 compact the JBL Charge?
    Regards, Lars

I just did pair them successfully, after a looong press on the JPB's on botton.

  • IPod won't charge with Apple dock

For some reason, overnight, my Apple dock no longer charges my iPod touch. I set my iPod in the dock and the yellow caution sign pops up and says that charging is not supported with this accessory. I did not update any software whatsoever on my computer or iPod, and up until this time, the dock worked just fine to charge my iPod. I tried powering down my iPod, restarting my Mac, and cleaning the connector on the dock with a q-tip dipped in alcohol. Nothing worked. The only thing I can think to do is reset my iPod. Any other solutions to try to get my iPod to charge via the dock?

  • IPod won't charge with car charger or on stereo dock..

A couple months ago, my iPod Nano (1st gen) stopped charging with the car charger and my stereo dock for no apparent reason. Is there some sort of setting that got switched in iTunes that prevents it from charging from other sources, besides the computer?
It charges just fine when I connect it to my PC...but it just doesn't charge when I connect it to the car charger, or my stereo dock...
    Thanks in advance.

No, iTunes probably wouldn't be affecting your iPod's charging from anything but a computer.
Have you tried resetting your iPod?
Press and hold the Menu and Select (center) buttons together for about 10 seconds.
If that doesn't seem to work (you might need to try it quite a few times), try taking a look at this:

  • IPod with dock connector is not getting charged with car charger and iTrip

My iPod from 2003 with dock connector is not getting charged in my car by using the griffin iTrip with USB car charger. iTrip works, but not the charger. Maybe there´s not enough power output from the car charger? Only 5.0V with 400mA are coming out. iPod needs more? 12V with 1.0A?
Does somebody have information about that problem for me?

Has Apple dropped support for older model iPods?
Nope. Support is still there, even back to the original 1G iPod with the wheel that actually turns. I have a 3G iPod, and it syncs just fine. There have not been any software updates for years, but the old software still works fine with the latest iTunes.
You have to use FireWire, which you seem to be doing.
Try putting it into Disk Mode first, then connect it.

Does the iPod currently play music as it should?
Do you have another docking cable (FireWire) that you can try? FireWire connectors often get worn and they no longer work, although the power connection can continue to work.
Did you try the other FireWire port in the iMac?

  • Will one day "ipod with dock connector" be able to be charged by USB cable?

    Hi,
this question has just popped into my mind
a moment ago. it might be very useful if
one day they'll grant us to be able to do that.
but if this request seemed to be too far
from hardware capability, i'd stop thinking
    about it.
could anyone give me a clue? any support teams?
    Thanks,
p/s hope i'd called my ipod right, it's the
one with four buttons outside the wheel, and
it is not a clickwheel one. "ipod with dock
connector" right? :] thank you again

    Hi Kenekeu
I just wanted to chime in and bump this thread. Although I've posted here several times about this exact problem, with no solution found yet, and no response from Apple. I tried rebooting into windows (via bootcamp) and reformatting my ipod from there. However when I downloaded the older version of the ipod updater, i was told that it was expired and a newer version was available (sigh). So I now have a windows formatted ipod that still won't connect via firewire.
I am still able to mount and transfer songs via USB in mac OSX. Luckily I had one of those dual usb/firewire cables, which plugs into the plug charger via firewire, and into the computer via USB at the same time, so my ipod doesn't lose charge.
Hopefully there'll be a fix soon, because this is really frustrating. I've had this ipod for a couple years, and was always proud that it lasted this long... and now this.

  • Can the Charge with a case fit in the Samsung media dock? or do I have to take the case off?

can the Charge with a case fit in the Samsung media dock? or do I have to take the case off?
    thanks!

    Dear SandraW,
Of course, there are may cases out there for the Charge but I would have to say generally, no. I have the desk dock and it looks like the Charge fits very snugly into the dock, and that the seat molded into the dock for the phone is an exact match for the side profile of the Charge.
I have the shell/holster case for the Charge that is standard VZW accessory, and having the Charge in the shell portion of the case would prevent it from docking.
I do have a Skin-It skin on the back of the phone, and this does NOT prevent docking.
