Xperia z3+ dual second sim problem

Hey guys, I just purchased a Xperia Z3+ dual and the first time I turned it on with both sim cards it was working fine.  Then for some reason the second sim stopped working on the 2G gsm network. I factory restored the phone and it worked again. The thing is that yesterday as soon as I activated the Find my xperia service the 2nd sim stopped working again. This is very annoying and renders my Z3 useless. Anyone have an idea as to what is causing this? Thanks, Kiko

Does it work while on safe mode?

  • Xperia M4 Dual auto SIM selection for hands-free calls

When using my hands-free kit in my car to dial a number, I have to select which SIM I want to use from the phone screen, which is dangerous and not really hands-free. How could I configure the phone so it dials from the same SIM when I'm using a Bluetooth hands-free kit ? I had this on my previous two dual-SIM phones that were not Sony... Thanks for helping.

I exact problem - you can not choose which SIM card to use to make calls, especially when I'm driving. I need to unlock my phone, select SIM card to make the call ... Is there any job application that can make the choice of default SIM card?

  • Many Xperia M2 Dual has Manufacturing defect in SIM 1 slot with WCDMA only mode.

Hello, I have problem with Sony Xperia M2 Dual mobile handset. Whenever I switch to WCDMA only mode it shows no network and this issue occurs in SONY phones only. Same sim cards work properly in other handset and even I have changed the SIM card also. But still getting same issue and Sony engineers at service centre are claiming that it's network issue. How is it possible ????????????????? Please find the attached screenshot.   This issue occurs only on SIM1 slot. SIM2 Slot is working fine at any network selection mode (i.e. WCDMA only, WCDMA Preferred / GSM & GSM only). The exact steps to reproduce the issue are as below.1. Put SIM card in SIM Slot 1 in WCDMA mode only.2. Put the SIM card in SIM slot 2 in GSM only (In this handset, At a time, You can put only one SIM card in WCDMA mode only.)3. Make a call from SIM2 & continue the call upto 15-20 mins.4. THEN DISCONNECT THE CALL5.  and immediately (within 1-2 mins.) try to make the call from SIM1.6. It will loose the network signal in SIM1 slot7. It will never get a signal in SIM1 slot until you restart the phone or put the phone Airplane mode on and then off. I have tested this issue in 3 brand new handsets.  Anyone please guide me how to report this issue to technical team at Sony. Thanks,Amit Keskar

I have reported this issue to service centre. however service centre guys are claiming that this is network issue.
I have tried these same Sim cards in my Samsung and friend's Micromax mobile. The Sim cards works properly without any issue.
This clearly shows that there is an issue with Sony Xperia M2 dual.
can anybody in this forum tell me what should I do if service centre guyz are not getting my point or they are not understanding the situation ????
I have sent several emails to Sony's support centre. I didn't get a single reply from them.
    Thanks,

  • Asha 501 Second Sim Connectivity Problem

Hi. I am using mobile data of my first sim for internet connectivity. Whenever there is an active internet connection over first sim, the second sim is automatically pushed to offline mode. Is this usual??? Or a glitch???
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Normal behaviour as Asha 501 is dual stand-by (as opposed to dual active), so that means that while you use one of the SIM cards, the other one is not active unfortunately.

  • My Xperia Z3 Dual only has a constant red led when plugged in, cant turn it On

    Hi,
When I woke up in the morning today,  I noticed that my Xperia Z3 Dual only shows the led in red (constant, not blinking) when I plug in to charge. I cant power on pressing the Power button, cant even restart using Power + Volume buttons. I also tried the recovery procedure from PC Companion, power off then Volume and power on, connect to PC and autodetect... nothing works.
I have the phone since march 2015, only 3 months; all was perfect before this big issue: no software problems, battery duration was excellent (at least 1 full day), camera ok, both sim's detected and configured without issues, also no problems when wet my phonet.
    Can you help me pls?

    @JesusAlarcon
That could be a hardware issue, contact your local Xperia Care ASAP

  • Z3 Dual - Data SIM switch broken

I hope someone may be able to assist...
I have observed some strange behaviour from my new Xperia Z3 Dual (D6633) when trying to switch the SIM used for data traffic (from SIM1 to SIM2) - under Dual SIM settings.
When I switch, the change seems to take effect (shows SIM2 handling data), but  if you check mobile settings SIM2 remains set to GSM and does not takeover data traffic.
After manually changing SIM2 (under Mobile network settings) to LTE it starts to handle data as expected. SIM1 switches to GSM automatically at this point but remains disabled (marked with a red 'x'). At this stage SIM2 is the only active SIM (handling data and voice).
When reverting back to SIM1 for data you have to follow a similar process (manually making changes to network settings) to restore normal service. SIM2 does revert to GSM only in this case (SIM1 data and voice along with SIM2 voice).
Please can someone advise if this is normal behaviour or if there are any known issues?
    Thanks
    Andrew

Any feedback on this issue from the Sony team would be very much appreciated?

  • TS4148 Hy! i have the "invalid sim" problem. my version of software is 9B179 and i don't know how to download the A version . pls help

pls help with the invalid sim problem . Thank you

    Kadru wrote:
yes. it appear after the update. and yes i am using the same sim card that originally came with the phone.
If the problem appeared after an update and the phone had been jailbroken before the update that would explain your problem. If that is the case there there is no easy solution.

  • Dual-number SIM & Nokia N8

    Hi
I'm interested with Nokia N8 but would like to know if it's compatible with a dual-number SIM (optus).  Currently I use E90 with a dual-number SIM and in the menu it comes up with options to change from number 1 or 2 or vice versa (obviously only one number can be used at any given time) without turning it off and on and entering specific pin or specific mobile number.
I tried N900 and the dual-number SIM menu options do not appear so does anyone know if N8 (being Symbian3) will have this dual number menu option ?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I've never tried the Dual SIM option on a 6300 but have had success with the following step-by-step guide with other handsets. Is there any point during this process where you have the difficulty?
    1. Select Vodafone Menu from the
main menu and then select Dual
    Line+. Note that the Vodafone
Menu is not always the top-level
one – see your mobile’s User
    Guide for details.
    2. The menu displays the line you
can swap to: Work, Home, Work +
    Home or Home + Work.
    3. A message confirms the option
    you have selected. You can
    switch off this message by
    selecting Dual Line+, Options,
    Quick Text.
    4. Press OK. The display shows
    Preparing, then depending on
the mobile, a range of messages
    may be displayed, and then
    the main screen.
    5. To swap back, repeat the
    above steps selecting a
    different menu option.
Regarding the brightness setting, I don't have access to a 6300 at the moment - maybe somebody else can help with some information on that one?
    cheers

  • N8 restarting, sim problem

Hi, I have N8 for two weeks now and it just restarts 6times a day, and also got a sim-problem few times a day. I tried to reinstall the firmware twice, also deleted all apps and still the same...
    Any ideas whers the problem?

Did you try to use another SIM card?
Maybe you can try the one of a relative or a friend... if it works, you can consider moving your number to a new SIM and replace the current one.

  • Second sim with same number

I use my phone a lot for work, and want to leave it permanently in the van, can I have a second sim on the same number ?

Orange used to offer exactly this with their "Single Number" facility, but it was never opened up to EE users, and finally closed down at the back end of last year. For what it's worth, the only other network to have ever offered similar was Vodafone with "multi-SIM" but that never let you use data from the second SIM and closed many years ago. As others have suggested, a GSM-divert is now the closest you'll get. You could also use EE "pocket landline" with the "one to many" option if you want multiple phones to ring with incoming calls at the same time.
