Xperia Z3 Original Screen protector from box

Hi all,
I want to know where I can buy a new screen protector for my Sony Xperia Z3. I know there is one that came shipped with the phone and I have used it but i would like another one. Does anyone know where I can get an original Sony screen protector that came shipped with phone? Or if they do not sell them, can anyone point me to where I can get them from. I need to know if this is the case what type of screen protector is needed so its close to the original.
Many thanks

  • Has anyone removed the screen protector from Otterbox?

I have the Otterbox on top of Apple's anti-glare screen protector as suggested in this forum. I'm having way too much trouble getting a response out of buttons on the edge of the screen or in the corners. I touch and touch, even press hard but no response. Even getting the phone to snap a picture is near impossible. I have no problems when I remove the Otterbox case, so I know it isn't a screen issue. I love the feel and protection afforded by the Otterbox case and would like to use it. Has anyone removed the screen protector from their case, and if you have, can you comment on the subsequent performance of it? Of note, I use the Otterbox case because I have young kids who use the phone - we don't have a landline. In other words, it's not dust protection I'm looking for, but impact protection. I hate to tear up a $50 case if it won't function anymore.

I removed the screen protector that was part of the Otterbox case and it now works much better. Still have the Power Support anti-glare screen protector on it. Also removed the small cover over the camera lense and now my pictures are more clear. Finally, I removed the covers over the speakers and I can hear the speakerphone again. These mods made the case an A+ for me. A little less protection but much better functionality.

  • Screen Protector from **** (How to remove it?)

Hello. I have used more-thing crystal screen protector, that came with More-Thing Para Collection (clear) Case. One the next day i decide to remove it, but all edges of Screen Protector was gone, even cutout for the front camera is gone. I've tried to use scotch, needle and other things to remove Screen Protector, but nothing works. Could you give me an advice, how to remove more-thing crystal screen protector?

Are you even sure the screen protector is still on it? Sounds like it isn't from your description.

  • Z1 Screen protector, once again.

My Enlish is far from pefect, but here we go.
I'm thinking about buing an Z1, for the moment I've Samsung phones.
What makes me think twice is the original screen protector that is pre-installed on the Z1.
Idon't like to get scraches, so a screen protector is a good thing - but the Sony proection cancan't be removed, so what purpse is it to have there?
Mess it up and the screen/phone is ruined.
Is it possible to install an extra screen protector film over the original one?
Is it posible to remove the after market protection without messing up the original one?
If I, in the future, want to replace the original screen protector, is it possible to do that and how much would it cost? Guess it would be to send the phone to Sony service?
Do the warranty cover scratches on the original screen protector?

absolutely agree with you that glass screen is great. I bought it from here (actually not cost much), and it works well until now. My touch sceen is clear  and sensitive as usual.
And i tried to scratch it with a knife like the video do , it really suprised me. There was nothing on the surface finally.  But it has a disadvantage. It's easy to stay the fingerprints like the result on a real LCD screen.

  • Review - Exim screen protector

Having read the reviews of the screen scratching issue, when my new nano arrived in the post, I ordered an exim screen protector from ebay ($16.00 AUD - do a search for exim). And being a happy nano owner, I thought I'd post a review.
The protector consists of 3 clear vinyl sheets, cut to fit the front, back and scroll wheel of the nano, so essentially the whole thing is covered. The vinyl sheets are a bit stiffer/harder/inflexible than what I expected, they're much like a very thin hard plastic sheet.
Application was a little bit fiddley, but overall fairly easy, provided you make sure no dust gets in contact with the adhesive side of the screen protector. I got 1 small bubble on the back, from a dust speck, but I removed and reapplied the back to remove the bit of dust.
Overall, you can't tell there is a screen protector on your nano. It looks and feels just like there is nothing there. The scroll wheel is just as responsive, and the screen is very clear and bright. The adhesive is also fairly strong, so there's no chance of the protector slipping off. The protector also appears to be made of a very hard material, so there's no chance of scratching.
I highly recommend this product to anyone who doesn't want to hide their nano behind a case. This thing looks great and will do the job.
THe only drawback is that it is fiddly to apply, but once its on, everythings fine. Another drawback is that it picks up fingerprints just as easily as the original nano surface. Also, 16 bucks for a bit of plastic is a bit much. But hey it works, right?
    Hope this helps guys.
    Marcus

    Hi,
You. I am using them and they are good as far as I can see. The application is a bit tricky. Make sure you get all the dust off the iPod first. If you do get dust under the film just wrap a piece of regular scotch tape around your finger and lift the film up. Remove the dust with the tape and you are good to go.
I put mine into a nano tube after the Exim film and it's nice and scratch free.
This film is not the same as any PDA film I have used. The sides are not covered.

  • I am having the hardest time with the screen protectors! HELP ME|!

So I bought the Anti-Glare screen protector from the Apple Store fir my iPhone. The first time I out it on, it looked good, but when I really looked at it, it was crooked around the Home button which looked really stupid, so I took it off with some tape and repositioned the protector, but yet again, can not get it straight, but worse of all, because my house is filled with flying dust, the back of the protector is filled with dust and lint and smudges, so now I cannot use the first one, so i open the other and what happens? THE SAME THING!!! So I have 2 questions.
    1. What am I doing wrong, what is the best way to put these on? Should I take the protector off just a bit and place it on the phone and then let it fall into place? Or take it off completely and then place it and hope I get it straight the first time?
    2. I am going to buy some new protectors (Same brand and everything), but I am wondering, would the Apple store give me an exchange despite the fact I did this to the protectors? Has anyone done that before?
    Thanks!

It took me THREE OF THE THINGS before I get one of them on -- luckily, once on, it has never had to come off, and that has been since July.
I ended up putting a small piece of scotch tape at the bottom right corner, which helps you lift it up and reposition without having to lift it too far that desk lint and things get on it again.
I actually got so fed up after the first two, when I went back to get the second package of them (since there are only two of them per pack) that the "Genius" assisting me said he was a pro and would put it on for me. After the "Genius" had himself used up two of the protectors and it still looked awful, he just gave me another pack and wished me well.
The third one was the charm though, and it has worked perfectly ever since.

  • Best screen protectors

I want to keep my Ipod looking new so i got a case. Its big and bulky nad i dont like it. i was looking at thin see-through protectors like www.trendygeek.com Its pretty nice but the problem is that it doesnt work with the Ipod photo because the screen protector bit distorts the image.
Are there any other products similiar to this that will work with the Ipod photo? i was also looking at http://www.theistore.com/screenshield.html too, they also look pretty nice but i still want to be sure about the distortion thing. Also it doesnt give you a cover for the back of your Ipod like trendygeek. I might just get the trendygeek podshield for the back part, and the screen protector from Istore. If anybody has some experiance or advice on this matter please post.
    thanks

I keep my iPod in a clear ZIP-LOCK SANDWICH BAG in my pocket. I hate the idea of paying $25-$40 for an iPod case. My solution of using a Zip-Lock bag will cost you about $3 at most (for 50 of them) and thats only if you don't already have zip-lock bags at home.

  • New LG Cosmos 2 --should I get screen protector?

I just got the LG Cosmos 2. For those who have it, has the screen been easily scratched?  I'm wondering if i should get a screen protector for it.   I've used (and liked) InvisibleShield on my iPod., but they are a bit pricy. ($14.99 USD) Any other suggestions?

Prior to putting a Verizon brand screen protector onto our Samsung u370 touchscreen phone, the advice in post # 48 was helpful to me; some of the other posts following that one also have some helpful information
    http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-storm-f86/dont-buy-verizon-screen-protectors-98881/index4.html
Even if you're wearing latex gloves, try your best to not touch the side of the screen protector with the adhesive -- some substance invisible to my eyes that was on the fingertips of a new pair of latex gloves prevented the screen protector from sticking to the screen after I touched the adhesive side.
So far we've been happy with the Verizon brand screen protector.

  • Screen Protector for iPad

So I just got an iPad and got a screen protector from Wal-Mart and the thing was horrible.
I was wondering what the best screen protector is, and if they are really needed? I have a Tarus hard case for it, and use the stylus pen for touching the screen.
Any suggestions would be great thanks

I tried a couple of different ones and found the one from Power Support interfered the least with viewing the screen (none of them had an adverse effect on touching the screen). But I will say that I noticed that with any screen protector on it the ipad got noticeably warmer than it did when it didn't have one, so I decided that possibly they were interfering with heat dissipation and removed it.
I certainly didn't find it necessary to 'protect' the screen while the ipad was in the apple case, but was looking for a way to cut glare. None of them were good enough at that to be worth leaving one on.

  • What is the 2nd sensor on the front, right next to the ear speaker for, and can I cover it up with a screen protector?

I received a package of screen protectors from Tech Armor today that were advertised to work for the iPhone 5, 5S and 5C.  They don't have a cutout for the second sensor on the front face that is to the left of the ear speaker.
What is that sensor for?  And can I cover it up with a screen guard without reducing the functionality/effectiveness of the hardware?
    Thanks,
    Pete.

That's the proximity sensor, senses when you have the phone close to your face, turns off the screen to save battery and prevent accidental input from face touching the screen.
It's ok to be covered by by a transparent screen protector. I have used screen protectors that cover up that sensor, no problem.

  • Do Apple Store representatives install screen protectors?

    Hi,
I recently purchased a three-pack of screen protectors from Amazon and am disappointed with the bubbles produced from my first four installations (The company sent me a new pack after I messed up completely on the first three). Admittedly, I am not the greatest at screen protector installations, but my fourth protector is bearable. I was wondering, though, if I could walk into an Apple Store (or get a Genius appointment) with an unused protector and have them do a "perfect" installation for me.
    Thanks!

  • Will screen protector affect the quality of the front facing camera?

I got my screen protector cut out and fitted on my phone in Hanoi very cheaply - looks great. However, they were not able to cut out the hole for the front facing camera as well as I would want it to look like (it was either to big or not round enough, etc). So I ended up with a screen protector covering my front facing camera.
They said this will not affect the quality of the front facing camera. However, Lenovo S90 has a 8MP front facing camera, so I it's not like fitting a screen protector on a 5 year old nokia with VGA front camera. How much do you think this will affect the quality of the front facing camera? Unless I can compare 1:1 pics, its hard to say.
I know the Lenovo original screen protector has a hole for the flash light, camera, and the sensor. So I wonder if anyone at Lenovo ever tested how does screen protector affect the quality of the camera? (Btw. I really do not see a need for a hole for the proximity sensor, it seems to work well with screen protector on it, so why bother?)
P.S. I am currently in KL, JameZ, so I was wondering if Lenovo KL can do a screen protector for S90 and how much would that cost. My screen protector is actually so well done that you could not say there is a screen protector on the phone. I only worry about the quality of the front facing camera.

    Welcome to Malaysia mate!
I think the best place to get screen protectors in Malaysia (KL) would be Low Yat Plaza. At the 3rd floor, there are heaps of shops selling accessories.
Separately, I use glass based protectors and they are do have holes for Proximity sensor, light sensor and front cam.
I don't think the screen protector would affect the quality of the front cam but rather the light sensor.
Also if the screen protector you use is clear, it should be fine. Take a selfie!

  • Are these cheap-o screen protectors any good?

I found a few screen protectors for under $4 (including shipping) but it makes me skeptical since most name brands cost over $14.
    Example:
    http://bensbargains.net/deal/71439/
    http://dealnews.com/Apple-i-Phone-3-G-Screen-Protector-for-2-free-shipping/24065 6.html
Anyone used any of those before? How were they?

I've used several cheap screen protectors in the past on older cellphones and they have worked well. They aren't as great as they claim to be, like scratch proof etc, but it did protect the screen. For instance i had a Sony Ericsoon k790a and i bought several screen protectors from ebay. THey were about $2-$4 each. In 1 year, the film was entirely scratched up, to the point where it got annoying to look at my lcd. I took it off, and the screen was still in pristine condition. Thats my experience with them, although i would prefer it to not have scratched so easily. The ones you are thinking of getting for the iphone are not much different than the ones i got for my SE. As long as you dont take a nail across the screen you should be well protected.
For the iphone, i went with what was at the store, the crystal screen protector. This is my first iphone and i wasnt used to the film and i tried to make it perfect, ruining both films in the end. I shelled out another $14 for a new pack, and got it right. Expensive, but we'll see how worth it is in the end.

  • ZEN X-Fi2 and a screen protector

    Hey,
i need to know if X-Fi2 already comes with a original screen protector?
If i buy pack of three Screen Protector, i need to remove the original first?

    Hi,
No it doesn't come with a screen protector. I guess there is some kind of protecti've plastic on it, but you can not take it off.
All you get in the package are the player, earphones, USB cable. So you might want to order it together with the charger and A/V cable and/or a leather case.
They don't even include a bag, which the older Zens had...

  • White Nano might be alright with just a screen protector...

I have already gone through one nano, 2gb and will be returnign it shortly because it scratches so easy, but i also just ordered 2 packs of screen protectors from decal girl. Now the nano comes with a crappy screen protector already, and if u put it on it, u can see that it doesnt scratch the screen or anything. also if ur nano is white, you cant see any scratches on the back or front, other than the screen. So i think for those of u who have white nanos, go to decal girl, pay 3.50 for a pack of screen protectors, and ull be ok...

no man im from canada, anyways did you return your white ipod because of scratches on the screen only?
