XPower X58:the system stops at debug code CO or C0

I just put together a new build with the following specs and the system stops at debug code CO or C0:
I assume it is C Zero as the manual shows three C Debug codes C0 C1 C2
Big Bang XPower LGA 1366 Intel X58
Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz processor
ASUS ENGTS450 DC OC/DI/1GD5 GeForce GTS 450 Vid card
12GB G.SKILL 6GB DDR3 1600
CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750 watt
WWD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB
Nothing fancy has been done to the machine. The phase power LED’s all show phase 2.
The CPU phase lights are all on, full 16.  No green light on monitor but fan on video card is running, so it has proper power.
The startup flashes FF then CF then C0 or CO.  FF is about .1 seconds, CF is about .2 seconds, and then it stops at C0 or CO.  The manual says “Early CPU initialization”.  I really don’t know where to go with this. I would really be grateful for some help and direction on this one.  Also if someone can point me toward a complete and possibly better information source on the complete list of Debug codes.

A7666IMS V1.3 082820          For me thats kind of a strange AM bios signature, but its all I see on screen.
A = AMI BIOS Code
7666 = your board's model number
I = Intel Chipset board
MS = MSI Standard BIOS Release
v1.3 = your current BIOS Version
082820 = BIOS Release Date [are you sure it says "20" at the end? --> anyway, not important]

I do not recommend updating to V1.4. Wait until a final release of V1.5.
v1.5 is already out there: http://eu.msi.com/product/mb/Big-Bang-XPower.html#/?div=BIOS
Bbryon, have you tested with one memory module only?

Hello,  Currently we are seeing this issue with a couple of our Lenovo T420s laptops with a Solid State Drive.  ruffly about 10 or so.  The Reboots happen randomly and do not create a dump file.  We have contacted Lenovo and they are
not sure why its happening.  Since this Crash I set it for Minidump this did not work my next steps will be to Disable Automatic restart on System Failure to see if it brings anything up.  I am also looking at using Procmon to dump to a file as well.
If anyone has any other ideas please let me know.

    Thank you.

We have tested and checked both the Bios and firmware of the SSD Drive's
Bios was up to date and no issue
Firmware was also up to date as well.
Users are still experiencing random Reboots.   I tried to capture the issue with Procmon but since the PC shutdown (Goes to a black screen no power at all even when turning the "Automatically
restart" off under Startup and Recovery) No dmp files as of yet.  Unable to configure Procdump due to not knowing where the issue is and what is causing it to happen.
Going to replace one of the PC's with a New one with different hardware to see if this resolve the issue.  If anyone has any idea's to be able to capture what maybe happening that would
    be great.
    Thank you.

  • Sunstudio 11 locks the system up when debugging GUI code

Since I haven't seen any answers to this problem, here it is again. I have an application that is GUI driven. I am running Sunstudio 11 on Solaris 8/sparc. To debug the application I set a breakpoint and start the program in the sunstudio debugger, when the breakpoint is reached, execution stops. I click on sunstudio to start single stepping and then both sunstudio and the program I am debugging become unresponsive. When I click on the console the whole system become unresponsive and I have to rlogin from another machine to kill the programs.
Has anyone else seen this happen? Any ideas on what to try to kick these into becoming responsive again?
    Thanks.

This sounds like the famous "X windows screen grab" problem.
    http://www.gtk.org/faq/#AEN462
Your application uses a toolkit that probably supports some sort
of "synchronous" command line option to unlock the screen most of the time.

When I ran my program(a simulation for a wind powered vehicle), it suddenly ends with no apparent reason, and returns System.exit(3) exit code.
I have no Idea what this exit code means, and thus am stuck in the debugging...
    Help is greatly appreciated

    No error messages?
If not, then you need to search for all instances of
catch (WhateverException var) {}and replace them with
    catch (WhateverException var) {
      var.printStackTrace();
    }

Looks like disp+work.exe dumped at the O/S level.  Check the windows event log to see if you can find anything.
The user didn't do anything, at best the user could probably crash a single work process, but the process would just restart anyways.
Also, make sure your kernel is upgraded to the latest versions, there were releases of kernel (640 and 700) known to have these dumps.

  • Report that can take the system: (users, utilization, T-CODE)

I need a report that can take the system:
How many times a user logged into the system in the last month
    Most used transactions
    Changes passwords.
Etc., all you have to do with a user-level tuning.
    thanks,
    VLopes

    Hi
If you Activate the audit log you can keep track all information,
have a look at   -successful and unsuccessful dialog and RFC logon attempts
--successful and unsuccessful transaction and report stats ...
how many times a user logged -in and all .yah you need to count
the number of times a user logged based on the report.
Once you activate....every day transaction details are recorded for every user
who tries to log in.keep an eye on the below parameters
    In RZ10
rsau/enable :set to 1 to activate audit logging
rsau/local/file   :to specify name and location of audit log file
rsau/max_diskspace/local :To specify maximum space for audit file say if
                                                max.size is reached auditing stops
    Hope that helps.

  • Windows 7 "a patch is preventing the system from starting" error code 0x490

    I have a Windows 7 machine.
    It was working fine.
    Now it will not boot.
When I try system repair, it says:
    Root cause found
A patch is preventing the system from starting.
Repair action: System file integrity cheack and repair
    Result: Failed. Error code 0x490
I have tried doing safe mode, last known good configuration etc and nothing works
Also, I tried to restore to an early checkpoint, but it claims that none exist, even thought I know we save restore points.
    Please advise?

"I suggest running Command Prompt from the repair menu and then Check Disk:
    1. Insert the Windows 7 Disc and boot from it.
    2. In the recovery menu, choose Command Prompt .
    3. Type the following command and press Enter:
    Chkdsk /r /f
Please also try the following commands and press Enter at the end of each line:
    Ren C:\Windows\winsxs\pending.xml pending.old
    Ren C:\windows\SoftwareDistribution SDOLD
    Regedit.exe
When the register editor opens, please navigate to the following key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMPONENTS:
    * High light the COMPONENTS key. Please check if the following values exist in the right pane:

  • The CPU fan starts with the case switch on and the system stops after 2 seconds

    Hi,
I have just bought the MSI K8N Neo FSR (MS 7030) to build a new computer with (amongst others) an Athlon 64 3000 processor and an Enermax 3051 case.
The CPU fan starts when I switch on the power with the switch on the back of the case, but stops after two seconds. I don't get anything when I push the Start button of the case.
At the beginning I got some feeble orange light on the D-bracket LEDs. Now, there is nothing at all.
I have tried to do a CMOS and also to put the Mobo out of the case after having disconnected the HD, the DVD reader, the floppy disk reader and all the Front panel connectors ===> nothing changed.
The Power capacity of my case is 300 watts. I had computed on Power Supply Wattage Calculator (http://www.jscustompcs.com/power_supply/Power_Supply_Calculator.php?cmd=AMD) that it is quite sufficient for my system.
Other materials on my system: the MSI FX5200-T and a PQI RAM PC 3200 which worked well on a former MSI Mobo (K7N2 Delta). I don't intend to keep this RAM on my new system but I use it to test it, before installing the Corsair Value which are on the system with which I write this post.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Finally, it appears that I had damaged the motherboard and the CPU.
When I installed the CPU, I hesitated because the User's guide said that "the gold arrow should point towards the lever pivot", whereas the illustration and the AMD's one pointed towards the opposite corner. I had finally made the good choice (that of the illustrations), but I have certainly displaced some pins of the processor while hesitating.
The shopper told me that MSI will never agree that its text had troubled me and refused to give me a new motherboard.
I have finally bought an ASUS motherboard and, as I was fed up with the computer building, I paid a technician to do this job.
I would like to mention two other mistakes in the MSI K8N Neo User's guide:
    - it devoted one page to the installation of the retention mechanism which was already installed.
    - there was no explanation about the mention of two "Power LED" connectors.
I acknowledge that I have been stupid, since I should have asked the question of the direction of the golden arrow in a forum, where I would have found very quckly the right answer to my hesitation.
However, I am revolted that MSI does not acknowledge that a grave mistake and two troubling omissions in the User's Guide can lead novice people to grave failures.
I'll never more have confidence in a company that make such mistakes and does not assume its responsibility.
Once again, thank you for your help.

  • Write behind cache, DB down, when should the system stop taking new data in

    Hello:
We are trying to use Coherence for our custom ESB, which is brokering payloads of various size between consumer and provider applications.
Before Coherence, stopping our DB meant organization-wide outage for critically important business services.
Since we have at least 40G of RAM in production environment, we believe that our app
can use Coherence write-behind option for tolerating at least several hours worth of DB outage.
We are currently using a near cache backed by distributed cache in write-behind mode.
9 business service JVMs (storage enabled=false) use 30 storage enabled JVMs.
IMPORTANT: We need to create an automated alerting facility determining when
amount of unsaved data reaches critical level since DB goes down. This alert should help us decide when our application stops accepting inbound traffic.
It is hard to use QueueSize parameter for that because our payload memory footprint can vary from 1KB to 3MB.
We do not expire any entries in order to enable support queries against the cache during DB outage.
Our experiments with trying various flavors of overflow-scheme resulted in OutOfMemoryError, therefore
we decided to implement RAM-only cache as a first step.

Good info ... I feel like I need to restate my original question along with a couple of new questions caused by the discussion above.
Q1. Does Coherence evict 'dirty', or 'queued', or 'unsaved' objects for cache configuration provided above?
The answer should be 'NO', otherwise Coherence is unsafe to use as a system of record,
it should not just drop unsaved information on the floor.
Q2. What happens to the front tier of the near+partitioned write behind cache described above when amount of unsaved data exceeds max cache capacity defined via high-units?
I would expect that map.put starts throwing exceptions: cache storage is full, so it should not accept more data
Q3. How can I determine a moment when amount of dirty data in bytes(!), not in objects, hits 85% of
max allowed cache capasity configured in bytes (using high-units param and BINARY calculator).
'DirtyUnits' counter can probably be built with some lower-level Coherence API. Can we use
    this API?
Please, understand, that we purchased Coherence for reliability, for making our
system independent from short DB outages, for keeping our business services up
and running when DBA need some time for admin operations like rebuilding an index.
Performance benefits are secondary and are not as obvious for our system which
uses primary keys only and has a well-tuned co-located Oracle back-end.
We simply cannot put Coherence to production unless we prove that Coherence
can reliably hold the data and give us information about approaching crisis
(the cache full of unsaved data).
If possible, forward this message to Cameron Purdy,
who was presenting Coherence to our team several moths ago.

  • How can i fix the A2 and 99 debug code of on the X 79-a GD 65 8 dimm

İ am tryed the very different ways but nothing work i love the msi brand but i am very tired now, i dont wanna see any code or error mesages with my x 79 mobo when starting.

Quote from: masterten on 30-May-12, 20:24:25
You were arleady told that these codes are NOT error codes, but just checkpoint codes. MANY motherboards are using this codes to show us what are they doing at PC startup. I have Z77A-G45 and I'm also seeing the codes.
99 - this is the first code that shows up on the monitor after turning PC on
A2 - mobo is detecting IDE devices (hard discs, optical drives).
B4 - mobo is detecting USB devices.
If your PC is booting and working ok - you have nothing to worry about. But if your PC is hanging during a specific startup code, then you can identify the source of the problem.
