guy, i have this problem after updating my phone.
- my music player keep repeat song even i make repeat off
- hang when try to change radio station channel
those who have this problem and have the solve, hope can give me some advice. Thanks

N82 new Firmware(11.0.117) Problem

After installing new firmware, main camera shows tool bar but both capture and flash buttons are dead.vision is 100% dark room.(only show darkness)
some how secondary camera is working well.three time i have installed newly downloaded update...for rechecking..but all in vain....
urgent update is needed!!!!

Don't be so furious. Let me explain you something. The first countries to receive the updates are the europeans ones. Then Nokia modifies the same firmware for the APAC regions. They have to introduce the language packs in it and make some changes to make it suit the APAC. There are even software which some countries get and some not.
That's why there are product codes. We can have several nokia phones of the same model but they differ in firmware. This has always been like this.
Be a bit patient it will soon arrive in your region. Nokia is working on it.

5800 after update (V51.0.006) no Bluetooth

After installing the last Version(V51) on my Nokia 5800, I cant enable the bluetooth!
After input the code *#2820# the bluetooth MAC adress is empty!
Following I have tested, but nothing works:
- hard-reset
- soft-reset
- remove accu for a long time
- format Memorycard
Is it possible to make a "downgrade".

Hi, have you turned bluetooth on? After updating my n97 my macadress was empty untill I had turned bluetooth on for the first time.
Go to menu->settings->connectivity->bluetooth->bluetooth ON. Then try again.
You can not downgrade.

5800 - Does new firmware fix auto-rotate problems ...

Ever since V 50.0.005 I've had problems with auto-rotate stopping working after a while (memory leak anyone ?) with a reboot being required to fix it. DAK if this is fixed in V 51.0.006 because if it is I'll go through the hassle of changing my product code to get it early as it's driving me nutzzzzz.

The real issue lies somewhere else.. atleast thats what I think because I did not face such problem on my Nokia 5800 xm with v 50.0.005. It was happenning just occassionaly and not so frequently or permanently as some posts suggest.
Auto rotate should work perfectly when the phone is held vertically.i.e. the top and bottom edges at same distance from the body.. Normaly when the phone is held in palm the bottom edge is nearer than the top edge as it is slanting. The feature will not work 100% in this condition...

Nokia xpress music 5800 touchscreen

I am wondering if my phone is faulty or if I am doing something seriously wrong! When I dial a number as soon as I press the call button the phone's screen goes off, so I cannot see if it is connecting It does dial the number, but I have no way of knowing if it's connecting, or what button's to press.
I have tried taking the battery out, in the hope this might solve the problem. I cannot find anything on the net to help, so if this fail's I will have to send the phone back, which is a bit of a pain as I have only just got it!

If you are on O2 UK you will not get delivery reports on any phone because their network does not support that feature. So to avoid getting all of the "pending" reports you need to turn the feature off.
You can get O2 to send you a report by SMS by typing *0# at the start of your message. The recipient will not be able to see those extra characters.

Nokia Xpress Music 5800 screen problem!!!

i am having major problems with the screen of my Nokia! Everything was fine until recently when the image on screen started constantly getting distorted (i.e. i can't see anything but blocks of colour!) I then have to either turn my phone off or keep locking and unlocking the phone until the image returns to normal. Oddly enough, i was playing with my phone at the bustop yesterday when someone noticed what was happening and said that he had the same problem with that phone and that the way to fix it was to delete any screensavers i had but the thing is, i don't have a screen saver! The only thing i can think of is that i did download some themes recently but they worked without a problem for about a month so i don't see why they would cause problems now! Does anyone have any suggestions?

Try Display Calibration..
Menu-->Settings-->Phone-->Touch Input-->Touch Screen Calibration..
..else, the problem may be because of the Screen Protector film (if fixed..)..or with a particular Theme..Change the theme and check..

5800 Xpress Music Text Messaging Fails

I've been trying the whole week to send & reply text messages on my new 5800 with no success,it chooses to send in 3 minutes but when that elapses text fails all the time, what's up with that , any ideas ?

5800 xpress music - increase size of Sent SMS fold...

Can anyone tell me how I can increase the size of the Sent folder on my Xpress Music 5800?
It seems to be set to a maximum of just 20 which is an annoyance. Thanks in advance!

messaging > settings > other > number of saved messages. (well that's if it works the same as in older s60 handsets)

Trouble updating Nokia Xpress Music

Hello,
I have been trying to update my Nokia Xpress Music 5800 and keep failing due to the error "Non-commercial software in your device"?
I am wanting to know know what i can do about this, and if there is a way to list the "non-commercial software" so i can do something about it.
It also states that it is unable to obtain Data Package at points.
I am also wondering what it means when all 3 lights stay on (Red, Green and White). Lights are set to turn off generally, but keep staying on. I seem to recall someone saying this was an error notification.

My trouble with the "Non-Commercial software" is not knowing which software (apps?) that is.
Is there any way of displaying the software on the phone and showing whether it is "non" or not.
Data Package - i did contact my service provider and they were having issues, thank you.
In regard to the lights, yes it is the 3 lights at the bottom. They are not set to be on, and i have checked the breathing light / notification settings. What is the "auto key guard lock", and what affect could it have?
The lights never used to stay on all the time, just momentarily when the phone was used.

5610 Xpress music: restarting often while speaking

Could you please let me know, how to overcome this problem: I am having Nokia 5610 Xpress music - it is getting restart often while speaking(two times per day). I brought this mobile 5 months back. I faced the same problem right from the first day. After one months software has been reinstalled even though that problem continues.
Any body help me to resolve this problem! I have checked it out with my friends who are having the same model(5610 Xpress music). They are facing the same problem, among five person four having the same problem.

Causes:
- Navi-key and camera button gets unnoticeably stuck causing it to be flooded with commands pointing to the music player and camera leading to a force system restart.
-One of your music files got corrupted
-Possible phone software corruption
-Mixing different music formats is not recommended as of the moment(on xpressmusic players only) - meaning putting files with MP3, eAAC, WMA files on one memory card could cause mixup and will lead to software malfunction
-Memory card fault
Possible solutions:
-Try checking the navi-key and camera button, make sure that they aren’t stuck.
-Replace your music files if you notice some file corruption
-Update your mobile phone’s software also known as firmware
-As much as possible don’t mix up files with different file types - this would also help the phone to save a much CPU power. Just stick to one - the eAACplus.
-Check if your memory card is faulty

New Firmware 1.04 release Zen MP3 X

The new firmware Release has a problem when connecting and disconnecting from the computer.
My X-FI will charge ok, but when unplugged from the computer, totally goes dead.
So dead, the computer will not recognize it, or even turn on.
The only way to turn on my XP3, is to hit the reset button now.

New 5800 xpress music battery problem

soo here goes...
i got dis new new 5800 xpress music just 2 days back...i fully charged it and didnt insert da sim yet....so da phone was actually just on standby mode continuosly.....and yet only after 24 hours it showed battery dead....i again recharged it fully....and again after 24 hours it showz battery dead....wat am i supposed to do?? i faed a similar problem wid my n95 and hence changed da phone and nw dis thing;s again acting up......HIGHLY IRRITTATING!!
wat am i supposed to do....fight with da dealers for giving me a problematic battery or sumthin??

Here is a strong possibility of what the problem is - I have noticed how easy it is to leave some application still running when you shut it down by using the slide switch. Maybe maps or bluetooth - anything really. Before you use that slide switch; display the main menu and look carefully for any item with a little circle near it. Any you find should be turned off by clicking onto that item and then exiting from it by clicking "exit". Now check that menu again to make sure that all items are now turned off.
As a separate precaution; if you keep your 5800 in a flexable pouch; you will find that there is plenty of room for a spare battery (only about £5). The spare would be needed on a long flight or when using the unit as a satnav if not plugged into the cars cigar lighter
