Xpressmusic 5130 with a alarm clock that will ring...
Currently, the alarm clock only allows me to set one time to ring. (Wake-up time)
I am wondering is there any app to replace this alarm clock or I can use
Carbide.ui Series 40 Theme Edition to change this property?

You can use the reminder function in the calender instead. It will allow you to set multiple alarms for each day & you can set it to ring daily if required.

I just switched from the blackberry over to the iPhone, and while I absolutely love it, one thing that the bberry does have that the iPhone does not was an alarm clock that allowed you to turn off your phone overnight and charge, with the alarm clock automatically turning the phone back on at whatever time the alarm was set for.
I've done a little bit of research, but ive yet to find a solution, be it an app or a simple setting on the phone itself. Does anyone have any helpful info or solutions?No, there is no way to do that. There is no setting for an alarm -> phone on function, and no 3rd party apps are allowed access to core functions such as that. No apps can run with the phone off. You do realize that the BB isn't truly "off" if there is an alarm app running...
If it's a matter of the phone not ringing, you can manually set the ring/silent switch to silent (with vibrate off set in Settings). The alarm will still sound, but you'll have to remember to move the switch back to ring. -

Curtis iMode IP200 iPod alarm clock radio- will it fit the classic?
Hey everyone! I currently just bought the 80gb ipod classic. I have a Curtis iMode IP200 iPod alarm clock radio that fits my old 4g ipod and I was wondering if the classic is suppose to fit in it. It doesn't seem to which is disappointing because I do like the clock. It came with lots of adaptors and I have the adaptor that came with my classic but it is not fitting. It looks like it can fit though...I don't much about the universal dock but will that make my classic fit this clock? or is the universal dock just another ipod charger... Thank-you.
The Extreme Mac Luna will do 1, 2, 3, and 5. Not many other radio docking stations will get close. Most don't even recognize the iphone3g. I was lucky enough to already have the ExtremeMac clock radio when I got my iPhone... it's white, has dual alarms, charges but does give you that error message and tells you to put the iphone in airplane mode. I never do, and it clicks a little when a call comes through, but I can live with that.

i'm using the ipod mini, and every morning the alarm clock goes off with the exact same song. is it possible to make the mini choose the alarm clock's track randomly? or, at least, is it possible to choose a different song to start my morning off with?
thanks!The iPod wakes up to a song from a playlist. It chooses the first song in the list.
Although I've never tried it, it may choose something other than the first song in the list if you set the songs to "shuffle".
Failing that, you would have to create a different playlist with a different song and select that to wake up to. -
Calendar alarm APP that will continue to sound until turned off?
Is there a calendar or alarm app that continues to sound alarm or reminder until you actually turn it off? Many cell phones have voicemail reminders and my Palm TREO (R.I.P.) had one for calendar alarms.
Most Android phones can be made to do this with their own settings, however you can go to the Play Store and download others. This type of alarm will be very hard on your battery life as a rule.

Incompatible message with iHome Alarm Clock
I have an iHome alarm clock and after upgrading to the latest version of IOS the clock and my iPhone are no longer working together. I get the message that the phone does not support this accessory. I have tried resetting my phone and deleting and redownloading the necessary apps. It is very frustrating. Can anyone out there shed light on a solution?
I'd say the most likely answer is they did not follow Apple's design specifications for peripherals and now it's catching up with them.

Is there an app that will allow me to move and edit Excel 2003 spreadsheets to and from Windows XP home that is better than QuickOffice. QuickOffice does, but will allow the usual Apple zooming facility on my Ipod Touch ?

After changing my default browser from Firefox back to IE, other URLs are defaulting to IE but I have one URL that continues to default to Firefox. This web app will only run in IE so the only way I can run it is to open IE first and then enter or select the URL. Is there a setting someplace that will change the default browser for this URL to be IE?
You can make IE the default browser, that will reset some registry keys<br />

Put a check in the box next to 'Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser'<br />
Start IE and let IE make itself the default browser.
Check the default settings in:<br />

There is an annoying bug with the Nano alarm clock whereby it fails to ring, and I hope there is a fix for it.
I get this behaviour mostly by doing the following:
Set a recurring alarm to say 7
After midnight on the date of the alarm and before it is due to ring, change the alarm time to one hour earlier.
result is that the alarm fails to ring.
This is a 5th gen Nano. Any fixes out there?thx, but it has external speakers though it is hooked up to a Bose system overnight.

Help with designing a system that will allow a code to be inputted during a five second window
I need to design a system which allows a user to input a code combination during a five second window a correct input code during this window will generate a binary output of 1 to indicate that the lock is open, and at all other times and for any incorect code the output of the system will be zero indicating that the lock is closed. The system must be designed to allow a pre-set combination to be specified and easily changed. The system must display the time count during operation, noting that only three attempts for putting the code are allowed. On a fourth unauthorised attempt another application must set off an alarm. Try this VI out. It returns a boolean instead of an integer, but this is really the same thing from what you are talking about.
You would use this VI as a subVI. It will pop up and allow user data entry. It passes the boolean out of it to see if the login was successful or not. You could also change things so that the password comparison (password in my case) is an input to the subVI as well.

I have 2 issues that Apple has not been able to resolve, that are vexing me.
1) Somehow I have 2-3 apple IDs ... passwords etc. I have purchased 2 iPads, 2 -3 iPhones, a Macbook Pro, and a Mac Mini with Thunderbolt monitor. Somewhere in that process I might have created another Apple ID, not sure. When the confusion started, I went to an Apple store, and they suggested I create a new Apple ID, against my better judgement I did, which added to the confusion. Now, every time I need to sign in using my Apple ID for anything, I have no idea what user ID goes with what password. I have gone to Apple stores several time to try to get this situation cleared up and each time they try to get me to create yet another Apple ID. Now I won't do that anymore, but the original confusion remains. How can I wipe out all Apple IDs and just have one?
2) I have been trying to get a particular functionality/feature/capability added to my Mac system. Don't want to go into detail here because someone will steal my idea and make millions. I have posed this question to Mac personnel from Geniuses, to Business Teams -- no one can figure it out. How do I get this fabulous capability I have thought up to come to life so I can make millions?

How do I create an input box with a cancel button that will end a loop in my script?
I have been working on a script for my client and I am having trouble getting it to work properly. I stole most of the code from the PowerShell Tip of the Week "Creating a Custom Input Box". I also took someone's code for the Show-MessageBox function.
I have slightly modified the original code with two parameters and an additional text box. The first field is for an e-mail address and the second is for an employee number.
I need to know how I can get a Do Until loop to recognize when the cancel button is pushed and break the loop and effectively end the script. The work happens at the end but perhaps I need something added/modified in the InputBox function.
I want the script to check to see if anything has been entered in the second text box. If empty it displays a message and calls the InputBox function again. Then if there is something I use elseif to check to see if it matches my RegEx (digits only). If
it doesn't match it will loop and call the InputBox function again.
This all works fine. The problem I am having is that I cannot cancel out of the form. I'd like the loop to continue until the second box matches my RegEx or Cancel is clicked. Clicking cancel doesn't break the loop. I need to know how I can stop the loop
when cancel is pressed. I've seen Stack "Overflow: PowerShell Cancel Button Stop Script" but I don't think this will work in a loop.
Any help would be awesome. As a note, I DO NOT want to use the VB Interaction stuff.

I have photos that come up with a big "!" that will not let me see the photo.
In iphoto, I am seeing a large exclamation point on some of my photos. Does anyone know what is going on?
Make a temporary, backup copy of your library if you don't already have one (Control-click on the library and select Duplicate from the contextual menu) and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.
