Xritei1 Display Pro doesn't seem to be supported under Mavericks. Anyone know how to get these devices updated?

Having trouble using Xrite i1 Display Pro after upgrading to Mavericks. I'm a photog and monitor calibration is essencial. Any ideas? Thanks!

Well, lets try;
Toshiba display driver contains the overheating protection for GPU and therefore you should use the driver from the driver page.
Secondly I recommend setting the BIOS to default settings and to save the changes.
Do you get this issue running the notebook with AC adaptor connected or only with battery??
Please check the Win 7 power management settings. There are plenty of options one of these options controls the CPU and cooling module performance.
So now I hope you will get rid of this issue and that I will get the 7 Victoria Secret girls I am waiting :)

I updated via my iPhone 4s. The apps were on my iPhone 4s. That's all the information that I have. The update to ios7 seems to have gone smoothly - everything else is working, phone texting, email, internet, etc. But all of the apps I had installed over the past year are no longer showing up as shortcuts. No facebook, no twitter, no espn, etc. They are all still listed in my app store as purchased, but the shortcuts and my folders are gone. Thanks.

A first generation iPod touch can't be updated past 3.1.3. If it's a newer model, update it from iTunes on a computer, and if possible, the one it normally syncs with.

Two things: 1) MORE RAM.
2) What hard drive?
I am sorry if this sounds harsh, but the bare minimum to get decent performance out of FCP X is 8GB.
If you mac supports more, even better - go to 12GB or 16GB.
Also, the hard drive? Are you editing on the internal drive? That is also a bottleneck. The system drive should not also be used as a media drive; plus, depending on model, it may not be very fast drive to begin with.
You should use an external drive with a fast enough connection - USB3 or Thunderbolt, if possible; FW800 as a distant third. USB2 may also work, albeit it is a relatively slow connection.

There is no way to get around activation lock, you must recover your password for the AppelID that it is locked to:

Anyone know how to get iTunes 11 to display absolute dates for podcasts?

Poking around in iTunes 11 today. Podcast dates seem hard-coded to display as relative dates. Anyone know if there's a way to make them display as absolute dates? I bloody hate relative dates.

While I'm at it, it seems Apple has removed DATE ADDED from podcasts in the iTunes Store. Anyone know if there's an option for seeing them, so when I look at a podcast, I can tell how frequently it's updated?

I really, really, really dislike the way that Acrobat 9 opens every document in another window. I understand that this is to make it Mac-compliant or something - WHY OH WHY? Does anyone know of a workaround or 3rd party add-in that will fix that?

I used to be able to browse a table or database on one screen and see the PDF's pop-up on the other screen. Now every document opens on alternate screens, including the screen with my table. So I have to keep moving the PDF's to see what I'm doing - It's driving me NUTS! Does anyone know of a way to fix it so every document opens on the same screen?

I have a Mac book pro with iPhoto updated to iPhoto 11 we have 2 users on our Mac myself and my husband. I recently loaded all of our pictures from a recent trip into iPhoto under my login screen. Can these photos also be transferred into my husbands iPhoto library under his login screen ? I want to transfer some not all of them and already deleted them from the camera card.

Use iPhoto Sharing.
If you want the other user to be able to see the pics, but not add to, change or alter your library, then enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to open the other account. In that account, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in the other source pane.
Any user can drag a pic from the Shared Library to their own in the iPhoto Window.
Remember iPhoto must be running in both accounts for this to work.

The problem as stated was difficult to understand so I tried to help out with the part that appeared (to me) to be caused by a lack of space.

Never heard of the expression about 2k and still don't understand what it means. Is that 2k of English pounds or maybe 2k pounds of flesh?
For what it's worth, in 1968 I was doing Fortran programming on an IBM computer that had 2K of memory. The computer room was the size of a large living room and we had two card key punch machines, a 120 "line printer" (printed a whole paper-width line at one time), a CalCom half-step plotter (wrote graphics programs for that), and a computer console, probably around 4 to 5 feet wide with rows of red lights. One had to read what was happening in hexadecimal code.
The programs I wrote were in Fortran and were for transportation planning and the Transportation Engineers. The graphics programs were for Travel Time and Delay Studies and the output was on about 30 or 36-inch wide paper and included things like Average Speed, Running Speed, Stop Delay Time, Percentage of time Stopped, Coefficient of Variation, Standard Deviation, etc. Rand these for AM Peak, PM Peak, Off Peak, and for each direction.
Back then an Engineer typically used a slide rule and if they were lucky they had a simple desktop Calculator that did add, subtract, multiply, divide, and had glowing wire numbers about 3/4" high would cost somewhere around $500. I don't think gas cost even 30 cents a gallon at the time. The venerable HP 35 calculator didn't come out until later. I wanted one but then they came out with the 45 and finally the Commodore 64 came out. Got one of those and wrote a lot of Basic programs for business.
As for the 10.0.8, I do have a backup of that although I'll probably delete it now.
