PS to xRPM/cProjects integration - phases

Hi all,
We've successfully uploaded a project from PS to xRPM/cProjects but one thing that does not copy over correctly is the phase in cProjects. After the upload is complete, I look at the cProject structure and the project header is there with all the WBS and network elements created as tasks, but they all reside under a blank phase definition. How can I configure so that the phase in cProjects is not created? Or, what do I need to create in PS to populate that phase definition when transferred to cProjects?

Im working with cProjects 3.1, not installed in CRM Platform. At this moment I have accounting integration, the system create an internal order to collect the costs.
My doubt is:
If I want to install the cProjects 3.1 in the CRM platform, Im going to have the PS integration (costs and revenues are collected on the Project WBS), but Im going to lose the accounting integration (internal order) or not?
Its possible the multi-object integration (Project and Internal order)?

Hi,
yes, the integration is permanent.
For Example....
During transfer of work centers from Project System to xRPM, teams are created in xRPM for each of the work centre being transferred to xRPM. One can do this from SAP PLM PS by running the report RPM_WRKCNTR_UPLOAD,
which transfers work centers to SAP xRPM and uses them to create team master data. The team name in xRPM is generated using a combination of plant and work center, because the work center ID is only unique within a plant and can be used again in a different plant.
The resources assigned to the work center are used to create the resources assigned to teams in SAP xRPM. The employee IDs of resources in SAP PLM PS are used to search for business partners in SAP xRPM with identicalemployee IDs.
If a match is found, the business partner is added to theteam.
If the SAP PLM PS work center is created using organization units, the employees in the organization unit are derived during the transfer of the work center and used as the basis for creating teams. If new employees are added to the organization after you have run the report, these employees are not included in SAP xRPM system unless you run the program again. For
this reason, you should run the program regularly (for example, weekly) or schedule it for background.

Cproject Integration with BW ( Querys )

Hi gurus,
In Cproject i could get detailed information of a particular project by the status Report, but as i mentioned it´s only for a particular project.
I´m testing with BW integration but i´m dealing with some problems.
When i execute a standard querys eg. 0CPR_C01_Q0006, i get incomplete information because the phase and the task of every proyect are with '000000000000000000000' (empty), but the project name / description / responsible resource appears.
Can anybody help me with this?

XPD and cProjects integration

Hi All,
We are implementing xPD 2.0 and cProjects 4.0.
The scenario of integrating the two is that, in the concept stage, a project in cProject will be created from xPD.
The master guide of xPD 2.0 states that "You can connect additional back-end systems, such as SAP cProjects, to the SAP xPD landscape using SAP Exchange Infrastructure". But this requirement is not mentioned any where else in the other documents.
Will somebody be able to highlight on this requirement?
Any inputs will be highly appreciated.

CProjects integration with R/3 HR issue

Dear All,
We are replicating the HR details to cProjects (CRM) system.
The replication was happening fine and while the employees(resources) getting replicated to the cProjects system, a Business Partner (BP) number will get generated automatically for each and every employee.
All of a sudden, we have got an issue.
While the details are getting replicated to the cProjects system, but the BP number is not getting generated, the BP number is blank.
FYI: We have not done any changes to the cProjects system recently.

We did all these settings. Just now we found out issue behind this.
In r/3 table PA0000 employees with the status 0-withdrawn are not downloaded to crm. In this table status of the employee should be active, then only it will download employees to crm.
Now the issue is client asking us to download employees who quit the organization. Please suggest if we need to add any filter to download employees who already quit the organization to crm.
Becuse there are some relationships existed for these employees earlier. When we try to download relationships from r/3 all bdocs are comming to crm and sitting in queues. Showing error. If we can download the employees who left the organization our issue with relationships also got solved.

CProject integration with MS Project

Hi,
Bascially can we upload MPP file directly to cProjects, if so what are the settings that we need to do.Do you have any documents which provide this information.
Normally i heard that MPP files gets converted into XML and this file is generally upload and direct upload from MPP file is not supported, is this correct.

XRPM cProjects how import HR absences

Hi Gurus,
My problem is: how to import from SAP HR not only Planned Time data (IT0007 - work schedule), but also the absences (IT2001).
I generally use both RPM_TIME filter through PFAL transaction and by RPM_TIME01 (launched through se38).
Then I verify time data in RPM / cProjects through the transaction rpm_empdata, where the bp availability is recorded.
I read that RPM_TIME also imports to RPM the absences, but actually I'm not able to check them.

Hi Ema,
BAdI 'RPM_PROCESS_DATA' can be used for processing IDoc for availability and absence information. This BAdI is processed when iDocs of message type RPM_TIME are posted. Here one can modify the Availability IDoc as per the Absence IDoc to reflect the correct availability. The Absence records needs to be processed by custom coding as per your requirements. Standard code is not available for absence, as there is no specific table for absences all data is reflected in RPM_BUPA_AVL.
The method to be implemented is 'PROCESS_DATA'. The method has availability and absence infotypes as importing parameters and ET_CUST_TIMEDATA as exporting parameter, which will contain the resulting availability.

XRPM 2.0 - cProject Object Link

I am using xRPM 2.0
SPRO Path: SAP xApp Resource and Portfolio Management (SAP xRPM) -> Base System Interfaces -> SAP cProjects Integration -> Define Business Object Links for SAP cProjects
Within this the following object types do not have any values maintained for Internal Key, External Key, Search Fields, Result Fields and Proxy Class.
Object Types are: 0CPCHECKLIST, 0CPCHECKLISTITM, 0CPPHASE, 0CPPROJECT, 0CPRESOURCE
0CPROLE and 0CPTASK
Can someone pl post in the values in these fields.

Thanks very much for the links. However, I've already gone through the standard documentation in SAP and they are a bit too high level/vague for me. I have considerable experience in xRPM, cProjects Suite and have good grasp of project management concepts, tool and techniques. My knowledge of PS is somewhat limited though.
What I am specifically looking for is what type integration options and scenarios are available. For example, cProjects can have phases and tasks defined. How would these integrate with for example WBS elements and networks in PS? What are the things you would do in cProjects and not PS and vice versa? Hope my question is clearer now.

CProjects - DMS integration:26 036 You are not authorized for with doc.type

Hi Experts,
I need to use cProjects integration with DMS. When I try to create a link to an existing document I find the following error:
26 036 You are not authorized for with document type DRW
My user has authorization to the doc type in the DMS system (linked by RFC to cProjects system). I also have defined the object link in the document type.
Do you know which configuration may be missing?

How is the RFC connection established between DMS and cProjects system? Do check the authorizations of the RFC user through which the connection is established.

Resource availability (xRPM 4.0/cProjects 4.0)

I have a question about resource availability in xRPM/cProjects 4.0
What do i need to do to be able to see real availability of my resources?
Do i need to set up the link to HR, do i need WFD?
Can i see the availability decrease if users have booked holiday time or training in their CATS?

As per cProjects 3.1 and 4.0, it is possible to use WFD with cProjects. In project roles, it can be specified if a role is relevant for WFD or not.
Note 900310 discusses the following:
Enhanced resource management using the RPA (Resource Planner Application) and the Workforce Deployment (WFD) servers: As up to now, WFD can be used as an enhanced scenario for resource planning in cProjects to staff project roles externally or to show resource availability. However, you must install the liveCache in an separate instance in order to use these functions. See the notes in the Master Guide. In this case (when you use cProjects outside the SAP Enterprise Portal), the 'Resource planning' tab title is available at the highest navigation level in cProjects. When you use the SAP Enterprise Portal, you can use the 'Resource Planner' CRM portal role. For further information, see Note 939501. If you intend to use cProjects 4.0 with the RPA and WFD servers, all three must be installed on the same system.
Please let me know if WFD is forbidden for higher versions of cProjects, and if yes - what are the alternatives available.

CProjects - Project Systems Linking and other features

Dear All,
              I need inputs on how to integrate cProjects with Project Systems. Also i need information on the what are all the information we can integrate between these two.
              One more important thing is i am seeing the Services, Details Data and Controlling links in My cProjects system. Where as i found Account Assignment, Costing links in one screenshot of Documents. And both are for cProjects 4.0. Why this difference is showing up
              And one generic question is, what is the requirement for these kind of scenarios. And pros and Cons of both the systems.
