XRPM Installation

Dear all
we have installed xRPM 4.50 for that we have installed ABAP component CPRXRPM and java component CPRXRPM_UI
but we are finding that on netweaver portal when we click on Portfolio managment blank page appears
whereas othe tabs like design collaboration and project management are working fine.
Please suggest
we have followed JAVA intallation guide and done all configurations required for xRPM

Xrpm Implementation in a Global Scenario

Hi,
I am trying to understand a Global implementation scenario for xrpm.
If I have 2 regions with SAP implemented on seperate instances and I want to implement xrpm 4.0
Except for the fact that we have to consider sizing .
The business scenario we are thinking is If my company has a Best shore model and we want to look at available resources from all regions for a project I have to staff in the US .
If I have a different xrpm installation per instance I will not have access to the portfolios,financials outside of my region nor the resource pool in a different region.
This is a very typical scenario I would think,how is this addressed or implemented
Is it a good idea to implement one xrpm globally for all regions(2 in my case) or have a seperate installation per R/3 instance.
We thought about Master Data Synchronization issues if we have one global xrpm which would add something like MDM into the landscape..

I would like to know about the deployment about PPDMC (Projects, Portfolio Management and Design Collaboration). I need to deploy the PPMDC to EP 7.0.
As follows the xRPM installation guide, I need to install the CPRXRPM_UI. Is it right?
Actually, I can not find the the installation guide of PPMDC for cProjects. I got the installation guide for xRPM.
If we do not need to follow the xRPM installation guide, can I upload the PPMDC without CPRXRPM_UI using JSPM?

You can view the entire list of Business Packages on SDN itself. Just browse to the Developer Areas -> Enterprise Portal -> Portal Content Portfolio. On the Quick Links area, click on List of Packages. You will then be able to see the list. Check if what you are looking for is available there.

XRPM 4.5 installation

Hi experts,
I want to ask a question. I read that "For SAP xRPM, SAP supports only a stand-alone installation on SAP
NetWeaver" on Project and Portfolio Management Overview section of master guide "SAP Project and Portfolio Management 4.5 using SAP NetWeaver 7.0".
I understand that we could not install SAP xRPM 4.5 core ABAP componenton ECC 6.0, CRM 2007, or any other SAP system based on Basis 7.00. Can we install this component only to SAP NetWeaver 2004s Application Server ABAP?

Dear All,
I need a small information on the installation of cProjects including xRPM and xPD from scratch. Also i want to know the additional requirements like EP server for the xRPM and cProjects hosting. I want to install cProjects outside of SAP R/3 server. Please let me know the hardware sizing for 5 to 10 concurrent users and any other useful information..

PORTAL ERROR : when we configured xRPM roles to the user.

we have installed netweaver 2004s(abap+java) with EP . To this installation as a add on we have installed xRPM 4.5.
we configured xrpm roles like project managent, design colloboration, portfolio management to the user.
when we login with that user and try to navigate the tabs none of the functions are working and we are getting error message like this.
Error connecting using JCO.Client: null
No portfolio was found; contact your system administrator.
Error connecting using JCO.Client: null
but we have defined the Jco destinations and sld properly. we are able to ping the connections also.
please help us in resolving these issues.

We are planning to go for SAP Netweaver CE 7.1.
(Usage Type : Web As for Java, EP Core & EP)
CE 7.1 is a separate product, you can´t install EP (core) on top of it. If you want to run a portal you need to install Netweaver 7.0.

XRPM implementation strategy

Can some one help me to answer the following qustions?
1. Do we need to really follow up DEV, QA and PRD system landscape for implementing xRPM? I will be very glad if some of you could share your real time experience
2. I know that SAP BW is a pre-requisite for installing xRPM. In this case, do we need BW expertize to customize some of the reports in xRPM?

1) It's all depends on customer budget. Any how it is always required for integration testing & Can conclude as it is required.
2) SAP_BW Component is not pre-requisite for installing the same & we need not need BW resource xRPM implementation.
Regarding the installation of CPRXRPM 400 system
1) Installation SAP Netweaver 2004s ABAP System installation, which by default contains 4 application s/w components inlcuding SAP_BW
SAP_ABAP, SAP_BASIS, SAP_BW, PI_BASIS
In fact every ABAP system contains SAP_BW compoent.

XRPM to BW

Hello,
My BW team was able to extract data from xRPM to BW but have a problem with a missing hierarchy. They can't seem to find ITEM_HIERARCHY wich is requiered by most objects. They were able to use the hierarchy JERARQIA DE ELEMENTOS which I believe is the local SAP translation for the ITEM_HIERARCHY but all elements in this hierarchy appear as not assigned.

ITunes & Windows Vista Home - Error File C:\Program Data\Apple Computer\Installer\Cache\iTunes 10.5.142\iTunes.msi was rejected by digital signature policy.

Update:
I tried what the diagnostic told me to do, and repaired the installation. I was able to burn a CD in iTunes, but after I restarted, the drives have disappeared again! Here's the diagnostic info now:

I was not adding anything to Firefox. I Refused tool bars embedded in several application installs on this new computer. Was working fine. Then had a problem with Google search, restored default values and re-tooled Firefox. At this point all worked fine. TY for the reply, the information was enlightening to be sure. I never knew safe mode was an option with Firefox. I have so many tasks running that I didn't want to shut things down. What I did is turn off some of the last plug-ins I installed. That did not fix the problem at least in the first look. What happened next was very interesting none the less. I had a moment of mouse spastic wrist syndrome and accidentally moved a tab in such a way that it opened in a new window. The URL bar was white and editable. So I moved all my tabs to the new window and everything works as it should. I have restarted Firefox this morning and it came back with the bar editable and I am speechless to understand what I may have done to correct the problem if anything ??

Installation of IPC AP 7.0 Jar is getting Failed when uploading in CRM

we did some changes in the previosly uploded version of IPC AP 7.0 customer user exit Jar file in eclipse.
While uploading the new modified jar through transaction /SAPCND/UE_DEV in CRM we are getting error :" installation of module <Jar file name > has failed ".

Yesterday after Posting the thread we found the same Note ,Issue occured because of JAVA write access was not enabled on the table ,After enabling it as mentioned in SAP Note, Jar file get successfully uploaded.

Installation problem with NW'04 SR1: database connection failed

while installing NW '04 SR1 on Windows Server 2003 SP1 and MS SQL Server 2000 SP4 I ran into an error related to the database connection. While performing the step "Load Java Database content" SAPinst crashes with the message
com.sap.sql.log.OpenSQLException: Could not load class com.ddtek.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver.
The connection to the SLQ Server with e.g. the Query Analyzer is OK. I had a problem with this installation setup before (have a look at the corresponding <a href="https://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=338638&tstart=0">thread</a> ), the JDBC drivers where missing on the installation master but after copying them in the right direction the installation went on with no problem up to this point...
Has anybody an idea what could have happened here? Is this maybe a problem connected to the one I recently had

Check all the parameters to set and run pre requisite checker before starting installation.
Keep in mind that before starting any SAP installation you should always run prerequisite checker.
