Xsan errors .....ERROR: _MDSChannelXsanFetchAccessTokenForUID: dead channel

I have a 4 node Xsan that was running 10.5.
I have since upgraded most of the xsan to 10.6, here is my layout.
Node 1 10.6 metadata controller
Node2 10.5 client
node3 10.6 client
node5 10.6 backup meta data controller
*Node 4 I s not in the xsan yet
On nodes 3 & 5 , I see these errors in my logs.

** then right after it I get this error******
5/21/10 10:59:14 AM com.apple.metadata.mds[65] XSANFSFSCTLSpotlightRPC fsctl failed (errno = 45)ERROR: _MDSChannelInitForXsan: _XsanCreateMDSChannel failed: 45
Any Ideas? I only have one Xsan Volume and it is mounted and everything seems fine on all hosts. I checked and my FCP paths to storage look. I am not using an xraid for the backend storage but that should not matter.
I googled this error but the few references also mention that they users are having issues with a volume, which I am not.
Are both of these errors related, is it a FCP path issue or spotlight?

Are you able to search from the clients? If not, what procedure did you follow to create the initial index on the MDC? Reference here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1134 and make sure that you allow the volume to FULLY index on the MDC before attempting to mount the volume on MDBs or clients. If you do not, the other volumes may attempt to claim control of indexing and you end up with a mess.

I have developed my scenario in the same way.But due to the values <NOTHING>
in Mandatory fields Source Directory and Filename,i am facing problem in Communication Channel Monitoring as it shows an error;even though the end-to-end scenario works successfully.
Plase note that our scenario is not to exclude the particular file but to pick the files serially after a certain delay.
Kindly provide some idea about how can we remove the error from Communication Channel Monitoring.

Sudhir,
In the sender file adapter, you have an option called "Processing Sequence".
By selecting ByName or ByDate you can make files get selected sequentially either ByName ( alphabetically ) or by the creation time stamp of the file.
In the sender file adapter also make the QOS as EOIO and give the QueueName as any value and the files will be processed sequentially.

I have developed File to Proxy Scenario on PI 7.1 system and it is not working. I see the below error in communication channel monitoring.
u201CError: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.ConfigException: Some of the IS access information is not available. SLDAccess property may be set to true, but SLD is not available.u201D
File will be picked from the FTP server.
I have created File system in SLD of type "Third Party", Can this be the issue?

LMS 3.2 Internal Error in Communication Channel

Hello,
I am having an issue with the DCR in which I get the error "Internal Error in Communication Channel" after trying to edit the credentials of a device.
It started when I tried to add a device to the DCR, with all credentials, and it wouldn't show up in the DCR. I tried this 3x, but no luck. I was eventually able to do so by using the Bulk Import, and having the single device (with all the credentials) in the .csv file.
Now that the device is in the DCR, I need to edit the User Defined Fields - but when I try to, I get the error mentioned above.
I've seen other threads here that talk about multi-server setups, and FQDNs, but I'm not using any of that. I've also noticed that there is a bug ID for it, CSCtd07131, but it says 'release-pending'.
Am I up the creek until an update comes out? (its not just user defined fields, btw, I'm unable to modify any credentials.)

When you restart the ciscoworks processes you should always give a couple of minutes and log on when the cpu starts to come down.
If it continues to error when you add or modify you better open a case with the tac.
The bug you mention is only if you have multiple systems with a master and slave DCR

Yes, Re-installed should take care of the issue..

DCR - error in communication channel

Hello,
We use LMS 3.1 with the available patches installed.
I wanted to configure some device credentials and identities.
After clicking "Apply" the following error was displayed:
"Internal error in communication channel."
I attached the dcr.log for further information.

I am having on-access virus scanning enabled and do not want to disable the scanning on the NMSROOT directory.
Can you tell me the name of this process that causes this conflict?
Then I could disable the virus scanner for this process!!

We are getting an error in communication channel javax.resourse.Resourseexception. We are send a payload witn size in excess of 10mb. I also have a message which is in delivering status for quite some time now after which our communication channel stopped working and startwd to give tthis error. Could it because of this message ? Or i need to increase size parameter . In which tcode or place wherei can see the permited file size. I am new to pi and and seeing this error for tje firat time . Request your help

Go to SXMB_ADM and click integration engine configuration -> click edit mode configuration -> see the tuning parameter EO_MSG_SIZE_LIMIT set and value of it. If it not set, talk to basis to set the this tuning parmeter and value desired.

Error in JMS channel

Hi ALL,
I am getting the below error in Communication channel monitoring short log of JMS channel.
"Cannot connect because class 'com.ibm.mq.jms.MQQueueConnectionFactory' is missing; ensure that JMS provider library 'aii_af_jmsproviderlib.sda' contains all required resources"
This error looks like the deployed .sda file dint contain the class specified.Can u let me know where i can find the aii_af_jmsproviderlib.sda file with all required classes in it .
We are on SAP XI 7.0 SP 14 and the MQ version is 7.0.
Kindly let me know if any one had faced the same error.

Xsane error? missing libraries?

Hi, I'm running arch64 and I'm trying to get my usb scanner working.
I have sane and xsane installed through pacman.
When I run xsane or sane-find-scanner I get the following error:
xsane: error while loading shared libraries: libltdl.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I can't seem to find the dependency for this...

Note, I tried to reinstall libtool-2.2.1 but when i do it, I get:
error: failed retrieving file 'libtool-2.2-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz' from ftp.archlinux.org : File unavailable (e.g., file not found, no access)

Can you please try tracing the FaultEvent.fault.rootCause
object and see if there is any error message. Usually exceptions
thrown from the server is available in this rootCause object.

Error -36 + Fibre Channel Error Log

K, so I ran into a very strange occurance.
While attempting to copy a 250GB folder of media from one pool to another on an xsan volume, I ended up hitting a single 500 MB file that kept giving me "error -36" in the finder.
After the third try, I ended up copying the file to my desktop, deleting it from the xsan volume, recopying it back over and then attempting the copy again from pool to pool, and voila!
Now the odd thing, when I tried to copy that file and got that error, all 3 times, I got a notification email that looked something like this:

That's odd. /.journal is a hidden file, and not a standard one on an OSX drive.
Do you have any idea what it is?
You could look at it via #A3 in the Time Machine - Troubleshooting *User Tip,* also at the top of this forum.
As you say, it's not causing the backup to fail, but you can exclude it, per the green box in #C3 of the Troubleshooting Tip.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply to my post. We did go through the note and since we are on Patch 11, we are not sure exactly how relevant it is to us.
However, I would be much obliged if you could clear up one thing. We are using an SOAP adapter to send IDOCs, and the note that you have advocated pertains to an IDOC adapter.

File not found error in SFTP channel

Hi All,
We are getting a "file not found error " while using a SFTP sender channel .
Our Scenario :
We are using SFTP as the source adapter .Presently we are using two nodes for load balancing for all the sender channels.
One of the node's of the SFTP channel is picking the file , while the other node at the same time is throwing a "File not found error".
The file is being picked and is placed at the target, but the channels are in error state as one of the nodes is in error state.
Please let me know, if we did any mistake while configuring the adapter.

System Error in Comm channel monitoring of RWB

Dear all,
I have a Proxy to webservice scenario (HCM-PI-SuccessFactors). At receiver side i am using SOAP AXIS adapter. In RWB, the status of the channel is green and running. But when i ping the channel, it shows System Error.
I have made changes in respective communication channels, activated and cleared the cache. Still same error.
Later taken complete restart of system. Still same error.
How to overcome this ?
Note : 1) End to end scenario is working fine
2) Among the three trusted certificates installed, status of one certificate is showing warning (status: which will expire on may 5).
