  • IPad Air charging VERY slowly, sometimes "not charging" entirely.

I'm using the charger that came with the new iPad Air in a wall outlet, but it charges incredibly slowly. We're talking like 10% charge in about an hour's time. Sometimes, even with the same set up, it says "not charging" all together. I think it charges even slower when doing it through my MacBook Air. Is anyone else having this issue with their new iPad Air charging slowly?

Same issue here. At least 4 hours on the charger and only 50%. Pretty **** annoying really. I love the new Apple stuff, but every time I upgrade to a new phone, laptop or iPad I end up having to take it into the Genius bar and get it replaced. Is it too difficult to conduct more thorough testing or at least get something right.
Going to tough it out for another week before I make the long journey to the Apple store to wait in a line.
It seems the online support doesn't accept my serial number as it is 'yet to be a supported device'....well done Apple, outdoing yourselves as always

  • My Macbook is running very slowly...

It runs very slowly sometimes, even when I quit programs to reduce workload etc. Any ideas about how to tell what's going on?

If you open Activity and select the System Memory tab and look at the Page ins/outs data. If your page outs go over 20% or so of your page ins then you simply need a RAM upgrade.
Just FYI, a page out occurs when data on RAM is "paged" out to virtual memory which resided on your hard disk. many page outs results in a far from optimal system performance and can be remedied by upgrading your RAM. The higher the page out percentage the more RAM it is suggested that you buy. In the best case your page out count should be zero. This means that you do not need to temporarily more data out to virtual memory signifying you have enough RAM.

  • My iCal runs very slowly. Is there a way to delete past events quickly without having to delete each event individually?

Ever since my new Mac OS update, my calendar runs very slowly, sometimes freezing. What shall I do? Could it be that past events are slowing it down? If so, how can I remove them easily without having to scroll through everything and press delete?

What settings have you in Preferences/Advanced delete events after they have passed?

Hi ! I have an iPhone 4s , bought it from apple company , I have charging problem , very slowly , it sometimes takes all day of charging , please helpe ...

In most countries they will do so for a fee. US$199 for a 4S. It may just need a new battery, which Apple will install for about US$70.

  • Wakes from sleep very slowly, starting to flicker sometimes, very slow to load websites

wakes from sleep very slowly, screen starting to flicker sometimes, very slow to load. i use microsoft email and just did an update. did this affect my system? My msn mail is awkward..... today, beeping sounds starting at random. ???

i did a restore off the Toshiba discs i had made, and again, it ran fine in the beginning, then all of sudden a month or two, and it started being slow again.
I expect something you installed or updated caused the trouble. Best strategy is to identify the culprit.
I would restore from the Toshiba discs again. Then carefully add things one-at-a-time, rebooting, and checking things out after each.
Be sure you create a restore point prior to adding hardware or installing software. Microsoft programs like Windows Update will automatically make one before installing anything.

  • After upgrading the iOS on my iPad2, it is running very slowly.  Screen taps are not responding very quickly and sometimes take multiple taps to initiate an action.  Should I have NOT upgraded, or is iOS 8.0 just awful?

After upgrading to iOS 8.0 on my iPad 2, it is running very slowly and doesn't always respond to screen taps.  Is OS8 the problem?

You aren't running a Classic operating system.    See this tip on the correct place to post:

  • Lightroom 5.6 on Win 7 Pro 64 bit SP1 tying up CPUs, running very slowly

    Hi,
I have Lightroom 5.6. Whenever I use the Spot removal, Graduated filter, Radial filter or Adjustment brush tools in the develop module, it ties up the 6 CPU cores (as viewed in Task Manager) so everything goes very slowly. For example, the effect of a stroke with the Adjustment brush only appears on screen after 5 seconds or more.  Sometimes it gets so bad that I have to kill the process and restart Lightroom.  It affects other programs running at the same time, as they can't get enough CPU.  It is basically unusable. An edit that should take five minutes can take an hour.
The problem happens when I either
In the Library module I select an image that I have previously used the tools mentioned above on
    or
In the Develop module when I use those tools.
It is not just an issue with Lr 5.6 - previous versions also did this on my system.
    My workflow is:
Browse the library module, adding images to a collection (Canon EOS 7D raw)
For each image in the collection I:
    Select the image
    Create a virtual copy
Stack the original and copy together
    Edit the copy
Export AdobeRGB 16 bit PSD to Photoshop for sharpening and conversion to CMYK
Place the image into my InDesign document
I occasionally use Perfect Photo Suite 8.x on my images from within Lightroom.
I have been a software developer for over 30 years, so I'm not doing anything stupid. Lightroom is just spinning the CPU cores to no effect, like it has a thread or threads in an infinite loop.
I typically have Lightroom, Photoshop (CC or CS6) and InDesign CS6 running at the same time.  All three together occupy just over half of the available RAM.
I have a prettty fast machine (see the specs below) and other software does not tie it up like this (except rendering video in Pr or Ae, which I expect).
I have tried googling for an answer, with no success.
I feel this is an issue that Adobe ought to provide technical assistance for, given the technical nature and severity of the problem.
    Please help.
    Machine details:

Thank you curve8530curve8330 for stepping up and helping me out ...
I think I'll try re-installing the BB Desktop Software 7.1.0.41 ... the ' ... no  BB Device Software installed ... ' GUI message has me concerned that there has been a Registry disconnect somehow involving the USB driver software registered with BB D. S. 7 ... this would indeed be a Windows 7 problem ... I'll update the thread and give you credit for pointing me in this direction ... if it works.
However, to be clear, I am connecting my 9630 using a USB interface cable connected to a USB 2.0 port on the Win 7 system ... I am not removing the 8GB MicroSDHC card from the phone and then utilizing a MicroSD to SD adapter or SD port ... whatsoever.
And , as for connecting via another computer, now that I have thought about this some more, that may have been what precipitated the problem in the first place ... I had experimentally tried re-connecting the 9630 to an XP Pro SP3 32-bit notebook loaded with BB D. M. 5.0.1.28 ... (after never having done so again since the Win 7 Pro SP1 64-bit / BB D. S. 7.1.0.41 system came into use).  I don't see, off-hand, how that could have caused this issue, however, the coincidence is too large to ignore.

  • Report is generating very slowly

Hi all, my crystal report is generating very very slowly my report is having many sub reports inside it as well,
see the time difference in the following lines that comes out while generating the report from my Application, please comment how can i solve this
    03/26/2014 06:03:47 PM ... Process({User I/F} Priority: 4, user interface)
a RDCReport is getting OLE property "SQLQueryString" with arguments: ()
    03/26/2014 06:07:38 PM ... Process({User I/F} Priority: 4, user interface)
Get OLE Property "SQLQueryString" returned: SELECT "TABLE"."COLUMNS" .................... long long query here
No functions or cursors have applied in crystal report but still it is taking too long to generate

    hi Muhammad,
what happens if you run the report in the report designer, i.e. crw32?
i would suggest looking at your subreports as running a lot of details level subs in a report is going to be slow. if you've got subs on the details level, one query will be run per subreport on each record, which will eat up a lot of processing.
sometimes subreports can be eliminated as well...for example, if your subreport contains the same tables as your main report, you can get rid of a subreport and substitute it for a cross-tab if you're only showing data in tabular format.
try suppressing all of your subreports as well, and then un-suppress them one at a time, refreshing the report each time a subreport is unsuppressed. perhaps there is one particular subreport that is a problem.
if you only find that your subreport is slow in your application, please post a new discussion to the crystal reports for visual studio forum.

  • Sender ID Filter running very slowly

    Hi,
I have recently deployed a test Exchange 2013 with the mailbox role and client access roll on Windows server 2012 R2
The test machine is also a DC, DNS server, DHCP Server. I have no edge transport server, the Frontend transport connector, ie SMTP service is being used.
Exchange 2013 has been updated to CU7 and windows server 2012 has all the latest updates installed from windows update.
The problem i am having is the Sender ID filter, installed with the anti-spam configuration, is running very slowly.
If i use the Test-SenderID cmdlet with any external address it can sometimes take minutes to come back with the test result.
However sometimes it comes back quite quickly - its somewhat intermittent. It doesn't matter what 'PurportedResponsibleDomain' i use or IPaddress for the test - the majority of the time its very slow, although occasionally it will come back within a second
with the result, but do the same test again with the same parameters and its back to a minute or 2 again.
This slow response is replicated with a SMTP test via telnet, upon the final '.' to send the email, it can hang for a minute or 2. If i disable the SenderID filter i get the acknowledgement from the SMTP server within a second. This occurs if i telnet direct
from the exchange machine, or from another machine on the network.
    Things i have observed:
-After a couple of days from rebooting the server - the SenderID filter suddenly, for apparently no reason, starts responding instantly, with the Test-SenderID cmdlet consistently returing results within a second - ie problem resolved. If i reboot the server
im back to the slow running.
-Internal email is being delivered fast, no delays
-External email is delayed by a minute or 2, confirmed to be caused by the SenderID filter.
    Things i have checked:
-DNS configuration looks good, no problems, all Local IP's on the 1 and only adapter have A records. There is a valid MX record, external DNS records for the mail domain are correct. I have put valid SPF records for the dc domain etc.
-No errors in application logs other than the usual suspects from exchange 2013 (a few performance counter errors)
-No DNS errors or warnings in the event logs.
-InternalSMTPServers on the TransportConfig has been set to the IP assigned to the adapter. I have also tried adding all IP's on  this adapter (there are 4), and even 127.0.0.1 to this InternalSMTPServers list, but it makes no difference for external
mail or the Test-SenderID cmdlet. It does however speed up a telnet smtp test direct from the exchange machine as the internalSMTPServers list results in a bypass.

    Hi Gavin,
I notice that there are some performace counter errors from Exchange 2013, sometimes performance issue can cause mailflow delay. Would you like to list some errors without sensitive information for the further troubleshooting?
How about the impact, one user or all users? How about in OWA, does the email from outside delay in OWA?
If you suspect this delay issue caused by Sender ID filter, I suggest disable it for a little while and use a test external account send an email for testing.
If everything goes well without configuring Sender ID filter, it seems an issue on Sender ID filter configuration.
More details on how to configure Sender ID filter as below:

  • Webpages loading very slowly??

I haven't made any changes to my connection lately, but it is now suddenly running very slowly. I'm running 10.4.11 with all updates. The Internet (Safari, Firefox, and Mail) runs very slowly and takes minutes to load webpages, and sometimes doesn't load at all. I have made changes to the router, but it didn't fix the problem. Any suggestions? Should I scan for viruses?

When websites don't load, I now get this "Road Runner Web Site Suggestion" site that I have never gotten before. This leads me to believe that it has something to do with the ISP.
Also, I don't lose or drop my wireless connection, it just loads web pages extremely slowly until the point where it sometimes goes to this Road Runner page.

  • Suddenly operating very very slowly

Please help! I bought my MacBook about a month ago and it's been running great; Yesterday I let my boyfriend's brother use it for a little bit. Ever since I got home, it's running incredibly slowly. The blue load bar at the top of Safari sometimes gets stuck just a tiny bit into the bar and sits there...sometimes the page will eventually load and sometimes not. When the page does load, the images show up one by one and very slowly. I deleted cookies, deleted history, ran virus check, everything like that. Even Applications are running slowly and it took about 5 minutes to restart the computer - definitely way different than how it was operating just two days ago. I looked what he was doing here...nothing too bad except like 5 different gaming websites with what looked like silly flash games about shooting things in the desert and what not....is there any way that these games caused something to be seriously wrong with my computer? And what do I do to fix it?! It's driving me crazy!

Do you have another browser? It's a good idea, even if you don't use it often, in case Safari gets corrupted, you'll have another way to the internet.
It's also handy for this problem. Try the same sites with another browser; if they're slow with it, too, it's not a Safari problem. Could be something like not enough memory, but likely just a badly-designed web site (you have no idea how inefficient most of them are).
I'd recommend Firefox -- it's very widely used, and free!
If you want, you can check whether memory and/or CPU usage is a problem via the Activity Monitor app (in your Applications/Utilities folder).
Start it up, select +All Processes+ in the toolbar, then from the menubar, View > Update Frequency > Less Often, then sort the list by the CPU column so the highest numbers are at the top.
Now use Safari to go to one of those websites; then look at the monitor.
The CPU column should show Safari using a lot of your CPU briefly, while it loads the site/page, then drop to little or nothing. Watch for anything else using a lot of your CPU.
Also click +System Memory+ at the bottom; copy or report the figures, plus those for +Page Outs+ and post back, along with the results of the CPU column.

    Hi Larry,
Thankyou for your reply, this is a partial answer
This server has been running for about 3 years now,
The faults started after I did an service pack update for sharepoint. I then did the manual update but the C drive then started to run very slowly and was giving disk size too low errors so I moved the SUS to a different drive but this hasnt helped. It is
still running painfully slow. Ran SBS BPA and found no faults. However ran Exchange BPA and did find faults which I have now fixed. Still have large number of errors

  • Runs VERY slowly--pages change very slowly

    Chrome will run fast.

Oh, sorry! Here are the infos to my computer system:
I work with the latest version of Indesign 2014.0.

Links. But i don't think, that it's because of that. Because sometimes it works
