XSD for the input file for GTS offline screening program

Hi Friends,
We are running some performance tests for our current project to evaluate how much time the offline screening program (report "/SAPSLL/SPL_OFFLINE_SCREENING") takes in GTS. This report expects the customers in an XML format - would you know where I can get the definition of this expected XML format (e.g. the XSD for this input file)?
Can some one help me to provide response XML definition of what GTS generates for the SPL check ?

please follwow the steps:
1. Prepare an XML file with Adress data
-> you can create a simple excel file that has to be converted into an
XML-file. See also the GTS documentation http://help.sap.
com/saphelp_gts72/helpdata/en/b1/8dc5c62c885046ab71fdcddc6ad2c2/frameset
.htm.
2. Upload the local file to GTS for SPL Screening
3. Examine the SPL screening results in GTS
4. Save the results in Audit trail and&or in local file

Limit on the number of characters of the Input file of Input Agent

I am working on the Input Agent of one of my IPM applicaton. I just want to know what would be the limit on the number of characters in the input file of input agent. That means that what should be the total count limit of the characters of the Input file of the Input Agent, so that IPM Efficiently process the Input file.

I don't quite understand what your suggestion was and before I try to figure it out and play around with numbers, I thought I should clarify further. When i wrote I want to paste the content into the cell and have it limited to 100 characters I was mis-spoken. I actually have all the content already in the columns in a spreadsheet and would now like to just limit some of the columns to hold only 100 characters in a cell so that when its a CSV file it will be accepted to the program I'm trying to upload it to.
SO does that change the way you can answer my question?
Is there a way to just limit the content currently in a spreadsheet to 100 characters per cell?

I want to skip the content conversion if the input file is an xml file and the same Content conversion as to work if the input file is a text file.

I think u hv to create 2 separate Communication Channels.............. 1 for XML (without Content Conversion), & other for TXT with Content Conversion.
In 1st CC give file name as *.xml & in 2nd give file name as *.txt

1. We cannot do directly.
2. we can do this logic
a) make another extra internal table
     of just one field say abc(250) type c.
b) read the full file in binay format,
    in this internal table,
    using gui_upload
c) then LOOP at the internal table,
    and replace the char.
d) AGAIN write this internal table using
   GUI_DOWNLOAD.
2. Then we can use norma gui_upload
   for our final table.

Query on processing the input files sequentially

Hi All,
I've a scenario based on File to 3 RFCs i.e. the input file will have 3 different recordtypes and based on the value of the recordtype corresponding RFCs should be invoked.
 The main criteria here is the input files should be read in sequence (By Date) and should be sent to R/3 once the prior file is processed completely i.e. the second / third / subsequent file shouldn't create multiple instances of the ABAP pgm.
 Even if I use EOIO in the file sender adapter I suppose the second file will be sent to and processed by ABAP parallely if the first file processing consumes huge time. Please correct me if am wrong.
 Also let me know if there is any way to achieve this .

Prateek - How do I Activate/Deactive the jobs for Event-Driven Message Processing dynamically using a program??.. Bcoz I've to check whether the first file processing is over (say by checking a flag) in the R/3 side and then Activate the Job if so...so that the next file can be read..

How to make SSIS packages automatically read the input file from a path?

Currently I am using a SSIS package to read data from a .dat file and load it into SQL Server tables.
I am placing the input .dat file on the desktop. In the connection manager -> Browse option, I am pointing this file to create connection.
The file naming convention is like - aSNAP_Data_20140926_P-2014-09-26_07.02.36
However, I need the SSIS package to automatically read the input file from a folder which is located in a remote server. This folder has lots of files where input files are added on a daily basis with the date value in the file name as mentioned above.
I want to schedule the SSIS package to run daily and take the latest file in the folder based on the date.
Please let me know how to do it. Any help would be highly appreciated.....

According to your description, you want to get the latest file from a path to a SQL Server table. After testing the issue in my environment, we can refer to the following steps to achieve your requirement:
Create two variables, VarFolderPath stores the folder path in which our files exist, VarFileName hold the value of most recent File Name.
Drag a Script Task from SSIS Toolbox to Control Flow Pane, then select “User::VarFolderPath” as ReadOnlyVariables, select “User::VarFileName” as ReadWriteVariables.
Then Edit Script with the C# code below:
Add “using System.IO;” into namespace.
Add the code below under Main function:
var directory= new DirectoryInfo(Dts.Variables["User::VarFolderPath"].Value.ToString());
            FileInfo[] files = directory.GetFiles();
            DateTime lastModified = DateTime.MinValue;
            foreach (FileInfo file in files)

Drag a Data Flow Task to Control Flow Pane and connect to Script Task.
In the Data Flow Task, drag a Flat File Source with a file in the source folder as all the files have same structure as the File name.
Add the property below the Flat File Connection Manger expression:
Property: ConnectionString      Expression: @[User::VarFolderPath] +"\\"+ @[User::VarFileName]
Drag an OLE DB Destination that connect to the Flat File Source, then configure a table to store the data.

What does Java do with the input file?

Hello everyone --
I have a freaky Java problem. I'm running a program that takes an input file, reads it one line at a time, and determines whether the info I'm looking for is contained in it or not. For each line it reads, it decides if that line is good or bad, and broadcasts the findings in a System.out.println(). Every line gets one. When I run the program, I redirect the output to a log file. What's going on when the input file is 13000+ lines long and the log file is only 2500 lines long? This is tweakin' me out.

As far as I can tell, I have every line accounted for in the else statement or the last if statement. If the line doesn't meet the req., it doesn't get to go on to the last if processing. All the good ones get processed. I think.

Metagen is skipped sometimes complaining because all output files are up-to-date with respect to the input files

In one of my dll (VS2010), the process Skipping target "MetaGen" because all output files are up-to-date with respect to the input files.
it is at random. I have checked the time stamps of the dll and metagen.write.1.tlog both having the time stamp on the failed build. But all files in release folder did not have the same time. They are one hour earlier than the dll
and the metagen.write.1.tlog.
On the good build it said the input file is is newer than output file ".\Release\\metagen.write.1.tlog" and allfiles in the release folder have same time stamp.
Any clue to solve this ?

Hoe to get the input file componets value

i have a input file component and a command button in my jspx.
i wrote a method for the command button which needs the value in the input file component.
both the methods inputFile1.getValue() and inputFile1.getSubmittedValue() is returning null for me.
when i browse some file and i click on the button the field is getting reset. i mean i am losing the browsed file.

That isn't an input file. An input file is one that the user is uploading to the application server. What you seem to be asking is how to get an audio file that is already on the application server to play.
On the other hand, you might be asking how to combine the two operations - upload the file, then play it. So in the solutions you've been given so far, the UploadedFile object has methods to tell you what is in the file and a getInputStream method to get the data in the file as an input stream. Now what you need is a correct value for the objectMedia's source property. This needs to be a URI for a file on the application server - a filename, but in relation to your application's base directory. Take the inputStream and write it as a file on your application server, and then set the objectMedia's source to that file's name.
You may also need to consider a clean-up operation to delete the file when the user is done with it, unless you WANT it saved permanently on the application server. The other alternative is to play the file directly from it's input stream, but you won't be able to use an objectMedia component to do this.

   It has the following platform: SAP ECC6 in AIX 6.1 with Oracle Database
My question is: When I run a online backup from DB13 with util_file I have this error message :
BKI0062E: The input file /oracle/SID/sapbackup/.file.lst is not valid.
Knowing when I launch from the standard profile on Disk initSID.sap it works without problem
When we test manually with oraSID it works but by SIDadm its not work
Then you can mention or in configuration files BACKINT both users oraSID & SIDadm have rights to use

As you see - your br*tools are more than two years old, many many errors have been fixed since. I would install the latest tools and try if the error is still there. You can even do that when the system is running.

Offline Screening program /SAPSLL/SPL_OFFLINE_SCREENING

Hi all,
Has anyone tried running the Offline screening program /SAPSLL/SPL_OFFLINE_SCREENING in the background.
I have tried this but am getting a message that this program is not executable in the background.
Can anyone please enlighten me on this.

Yes, this program can be run in background.
You must provide filenames in the "File Path on Application Server" area of the screen. Specify the "Path of Source File" and "Path of Local File" fields -- please note that these file must be in XML format with specific tags. Once you provide these parameters for these fields, you can "Execute in Background." The result will be written to an XML file that is specified in the "Path of Target File" field. Also, if you have enabled the configuration to "Write Audit for Simulation of SPL Screening" in the "Control Settings for "Sanctioned Party List Screening" Service" configuration activity, you will be able to review the SPL Audit Trail for any matches.
