XSLT Editor in Imported Archives (XSLT)

Hi,
The SAP Library Content found at this Link:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/4c/b2ad3de2d76b3be10000000a114084/frameset.htm
says:
"Changes the selected XSLT program. In an Integration Builder editor you can either change lines or import another XSLT program."
Does this mean, the default Integration Builder editor can be changed to an editor I prefer?
My aim is to edit the XSLT-Mapping out of the ntegration Builder with the editor I like.
In our  Integration Builder  the prefered editor is used when I press button "Open in Client Browser", but I whould like it in "Change Program".
Many thanks for your ideas!
Brigitte

Hi,
Unfortunatley this is not possible yet because editor choice not configurable or in other term since IR is using simple text editor (which can be simple multiline text box).
But it is good suggestion and you can forward it to SAP XI design team.

Gourav

  • Imported Archive not visible

    Hi Guru,
    I have imported into XI a XSLT Mapping in IMPORTED ARCHIVE; now I have to use thi mapping in my Interface Mapping, but the imported Archive (the XSLT Mapping...) is not visible! How is it possible?
    Thanks to all!

    hi,
    1. Make sure that the XSLT program .zip or jar format.
    2. If the mapping program it' not showing then forceble you need to push your interface mapping.
      If the mapping program it is not showing mean particular source message particular target message couldn't defind the mapping program..this is not complesary any mapping program we can push through forceble .

    Venu.

  • ABAP XSLT Extensions or XSLT (XI imported archive)?

    Hi all,
    I would like to know which is having better performance in a scenario with a significant number of messages.
    I know that ABAP XSLT Extensions is based in XSLT 1.0 and have some features of XSLT 2.0. So, for me it means some limitations and a disadvantage compared with all of XSLT 2.0 “standard” can offer.
    But, my question is related with performance and I just want to know which is faster.
    Thanks in advance,
    Cheers,
    Ricardo.

    Hi Ricardo,
    abap xslt has one great advantage
    abap stack does not have to communicate with
    java stack to perform the - so no RFC calls for mapping
    with many messages that might influence their flows
    but it wuold be best if you could just test it
    in YOUR environment (there are many test tools -
    like Loadrunner from Mercury) or you can write your own scripts
    and just test in your particular examle which one is better

  • Xslt mapping in Imported archieves

    Hi all,
    The requirement is that I need to use XSLT mapping for this I created message mapping copied as a .xslt file and imported in the imported archeives and then I removed the message mapping .
    The problem is that when I try to use this XSLT mapping under the interface mapping as XSLT option I am getting a warning "message mapping name has no program"
    Please let me know why this is  happening.
    Thanks,
    Sri

    Hi,
    as you said:
    choose XSLT mapping
    then choose your XSLT mapping name
    save and activate

  • What is main diff b/w imported Archives and External Defination in IR

    What is main diff b/w imported Archives and External Defination in IR

    Hi Vijay,
    ED-standard schema for describing the message structure.If you have the structure provided to you from some external application you can use it in PI directly without recreating in PI.you can import following formats which are used to describe message schema
    WSDL (Web Service Description Language),
    XSD (XML Schema Definition Language),
    DTDs (Document Type Definitions)
    Imported Archives: its used basically for java and xslt mapping where you create the required mapping externally using some tools
    (java-eclipse/NWDS .XSLT-stylus studio).You can also implement XSLT and Java mappingsf and save them as archives in the Integration Repository.

  • Imported archives

    How to import externally defined mapping programs in to Imported archieves? could anybody help me....
    Thanks in advance,
    Manoj

    Hi Manoj,
                XI supports 4 types of mappings
                            1. Message mapping
                            2. XSLT MApping
                            3. JAVA Mapping
                            4. ABAP Mapping.
                     If you go with message mapping or ABAP mapping no need to use imported archive. If you want to implement XSLT or JAVA mapping then only you need to import those programmes into imported archives. when import the external programms(XSLT or JAVA) to the Imported archives then should keep those file as a ZIP. The ZIP files only can import to the Imported Archives.

    Satish

  • What is the Use of Imported Archives in Mapping Objects

    Hi All,
    What is the Use of Imported Archives in Mapping Objects ( IR )
    Regards
    Vamsi

    Hi Vamsi,
    When we are doing JAVA , XSLT mappings we have to do import archievs
    after developing the JAva mapping in NWDS and create jar file come back to IR under imported archieves we will import the jar file.
    Similarly XSLT als make the zip and import under imported archieves
    Also when we have any java packages ,import it under archieves and make them to use in UDF

  • How to upload into import archive

    How to import the XSL mapping and JCO LOOK UPS int to import archive archive
    should i import java file or class file in look ups part , what abt the XSLT mappimg part, then i want to test the mapping part will you please tell me how to copy the already existing interface so that i can test the mapping part without distrubing it
    thanking you
    sridhar

    Hi,
    To test the XSLT Mapping:
    -Zip the .xslt file and import the zip into Improted Archive
    -Then create the new Interface Mapping or you can copy old Interface Mapping by right clicking on the Interface Mapping where you required to use XSLT mapping
    btw, if you are using xslt or java mapping, you need to just use this in the Interface Mapping.
    -In interface mapping, you can see the drop down list to select type of mapping and proceed further. It will direct you .
    Hope this helps,
    Rgds,
    Moorthy

  • Problem with imported archives

    Hi all,
    I have created Message mappings(this I have to delete once get the sucess),Interface mapping.I need to use XSLT mapping so I copied the Message mapping output to XSLT file Organization_2_PSTCS_Department_XSLT.xslt and when Imported into imported archieves.
    When I try to use this mapping I am getting the message as in SUB .Alternatively if i use the message mapping I am getting sucess.
    Please let me know what is the problem.
    Thanks,
    Srini

    Hi,
    >>>>>>I need to use XSLT mapping so I copied the Message mapping output to XSLT file Organization_2_PSTCS_Department_XSLT.xslt and when Imported into imported archieves.
    you copied the output ? (you mean the result of message mapping?)
    this has no sense as message mapping has nothing to do with
    xslt mappings
    you need to create your xslt mapping yourself and then import it
    you cannot create xslt mapping from message mapping

    You have to put your path + file name to export your ear file.
    If you don't see your created file in the path that you configured then see Messages - Log of JDeveloper if you have permission problems to write.

    PD: Sorry i mistake talking about .mar file instead of EAR file

  • Accessing a file in Imported Archive from Adapter module

    Hi,
    I am designing a module for File/FTP and Mail adapters. Is it possible to retrieve data from a CSV or TXT file uploaded in the Imported Archive from the Java code in the module? If this is possible, do I use the same approach as accessing the CSV data from the mapping using a UDF? If this is not possible, can you suggest other ways were I can access a CSV or TXT configuration file from an adapter module?
    I would like to avoid using Module key, Parameter name and Parameter value as I would like to make the adapter module generic and the data I will be reading might be too much to be specified in this location. However, I would use the Module key, Parameter name and Parameter value to specify the CSV or TXT filename which the adapter module will be using.
    Thanks in advance for any help that you can provide.
    Regards,
    Elbert

    Imported archives are part of mapping flow and adapter modules are more part of routing. Therefore I don't think imported archive could  be made accessible anywhere outside mapping.
    but my CSV or TXT file would be updated regularly by the developer.
    So were you planning to import this file again and again under imported archive? This doesn't seems to be a good solution when you think about changin Design part in Production environment. It would be better to give access to certain folder to developer to put the file there and access it using some code. You may refer this

  • Using imported archive in UDF using import statement

    Hello Expert,
    I am trying to use the class of keystore_api.jar which is impoted in imported archive in my UDF using the import statement
    com.sap.engine.interfaces.keystore.KeystoreManager but I am getting the error
    package com.sap.engine.interfaces.keystore does not exist
    import com.sap.engine.interfaces.keystore.*;
    Appreciate your valuable replies.
    Kind Regards,
    Kubra fatima

    Hi,
    as ur import statement  states
    com.sap.engine.interfaces.keystore
    You need to import the jar in directory hierarchy as above manner.
    com[sap[engine[interface[]keystore[JAR]]]]

  • Issue in .class file in imported archive ESR - after upload using eclipse

    Dear Friends,
    My requirement here is too change existing java mapping. Here I am exporting zip file from imported archive and after making changes in eclipse upload the .JAR file again. Here .class file is not opening after upload in Imported Archive.
    Error is
    Setup I am having on my system.
    -> JDK version on my system JDK 1.6_34
    -> JRE on my system – JRE 6
    -> Using eclipse SDK 4.2.2
    SAP PI servers settings.
    I searched online blogs but no help. Can anybody guide me what wrong am I doing here?
    Thanks.
    Sumeet.

    Thanks for reply..Hareesh.
    -> In Eclipse only 1 warning is coming and no error. I guess Eclipse automatically compile .class file. Is there any way in eclipse to see if compilation is done properly?
    -> I imported few external JAR files and already few JAR files are there in Eclipse(JRE1.6), as shown in fig below. Which JAR file is being user? How can I make sure?
    -> When using Run as option I am not getting any option. Is it normal or did I have to activate some option?
    Please give your views on this.
    Thanks.
    Sumeet.

  • Access Imported Archive in User Defined Function

    Hi!
    I want to access a XML file in an user defined function in a message mapping. The XML file is included in an imported archive. I need the information out of this XML file for configuring an extended receiver determination.
    Does anyone know how to solve this?
    Best regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Krishna,
    a property file will be a solution but is has to be stored in the filesystem. In my scenario I prefer a file (not neccessary xml) which is editeable in the IR.
    I tried something in this way (just for testing):
    try {
         DocumentBuilderFactory factory = null;
         DocumentBuilder builder = null;
         Document document = null;
         Element element = null;
         factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
         builder = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
         document =  builder.parse(Container.class.getResourceAsStream("routing.xml"));
         element = (Element)document.getElementsByTagName("BUSINESS_SYSTEM").item(0);
         return element.getNodeValue();
    } catch (Exception e) {
         return "Crash: "+e.getMessage();
    But it crashes, because the resource "routing.xml" cannot be found. I tried to add the namespace or the name of the imported archive or both as prefix, but it don't work. How can I find out under which address/url I can open the xml document?
    Best regards,
    Daniel
