XSLT Mapping: Insert href to other XSLT

Hi eevrybody,
we have an XSLT that generates an XML. The generated XML should have an reference to another XSLT.
With other words: The generated XML has to look like:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="X:\path\path\AnotherXSLT.xslt"?>  // how do do that?
<ROOT> ......
How can we do that?
Thanks Regards Mario

Hi
Try
<xsl:processing-instruction name="xml-stylesheet">href="X:\path\path\AnotherXSLT.xslt" type="text/xml"</xsl:processing-instruction>
this should be deifned in the top level template e.g.
<xsl:template match="/">
     <xsl:processing-instruction name="xml-stylesheet">href="X:\path\path\AnotherXSLT.xslt" type="text/xml"</xsl:processing-instruction>
</xsl:template>
Thanks
Damien

    Hello,
    The XSD you are using is from Data Type and you are using it for mapping.
    Instead export XSD for Message Type and also pass the XML schema for source that will solve the issue and your XSLT will be generated.

    Hi,
    I want to fetch the system date and compare it with another date, say 06.04.2010.
    How can I do this in XSLT 1.0?
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
    I tried using the following code:
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:cal="java:java.util.GregorianCalendar">
         <xsl:output method="xml"/>

              <xsl:variable name="day" select="cal:get($now, 5)"/>
              <xsl:variable name="month" select="cal:get($now, 2)"/>
              <xsl:variable name="year" select="substring(string(cal:get($now, 1)), 3, 2)"/>
         </xsl:template>
    <Body>
              <xsl:choose>
              <xsl:when test="boolean(//*[local-name() = 'IRenvelope']/node()) and boolean($year = 2009) and boolean($month &gt; 11) and boolean($day &gt; 05))">
              </xsl:when>
              </xsl:choose>
    </Body>
    However, when I try to run this mapping I get the error "Invalid XPath Expression" in Altova.

  • XSLT Mapping - Configuration error

    Hi there,
    I have loaded an XSLT mapping that references 2 other mapping templates (in separate files). When I test the main mapping (in the Interface Mapping test tool) I get the following error:
    Transformer configuration exception occurred when loading XSLT POSbankingPacketToWPUFIB.xsl (http://ournamespace, 36cb0f00-1a9b-11d8-96af-e1600a114c15, -1)
    The trace in the tool showed the following:
    Creating XSLT mapping POSbankingPacketToWPUFIB
    URIResolver called with href = EDI_DC40.xsl and base =  POSbankingPacketToWPUFIB.xsl
    Source resolved. System id = EDI_DC40.xsl
    URIResolver called with href = WPUFIB.WPUFIB01.xsl and base = POSbankingPacketToWPUFIB.xsl
    Source resolved. System id = WPUFIB.WPUFIB01.xsl
    Any ideas on how to resolve this problem would be appreciated. Info below may also be helpful:
    - I have tested the XSL mapping in xmlSpy and it produces the required result but in the IR the error above occur. - I am using <xsl:stylesheet version="2.0" .... > in my definition
    - I am calling templates from the POSbankingPacketToWPUFIB.xsl that exist in both EDI_DC40.xsl and WPUFIB.WPUFIB01.xsl
    - I am using variables, template parameters and <xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"> in the referenced xsl stylesheets.
    Regards
    Christiaan

    Hi there,
    Thank you for your answer. All of those things were okay.
    The problem was related to XPath 2.0 syntax which does not seem to be supported by XI. The statement in question was:
    <xsl:for-each select="POSbankingPacket/DetailGroup[GroupType ne 'HD']">
    I have now switched to XSLT 1.1 and will hopefully find a adequate replacement statement.
    Thank you,
    Christiaan

  • XSLT Mapping :-- End to End Scenario

    Can any one provide XSLT Mapping End to End scenario with screen shots?

    HI
    XSLT Mapping
    XSLT stands for EXtensible Stylesheet Language Transformations. It is an XML based language for transforming XML documents into any other formats suitable for browser to display, on the basis of set of well-defined rules.
    Using XSLT mapping in a ccBPM scenario
    File to Multiple IDocs (XSLT Mapping)
    Steps required for developing XSLT Mapping
    u2022 Create a source data type and a target data type
    u2022 Create Message types for the source and target data types.
    u2022 Create Message Interfaces includes Inbound Message interface and Outbound Message interface.
    u2022 XSLT Mapping does not require creation of Message mapping, so donu2019t create any Message mapping.
    u2022 Create an .XSL file which converts source data type into target data type.
    u2022 Zip that .xsl file and import it into Integration Repository under Imported Archives.
    u2022 In Interface Mapping choose mapping program as XSL and specify this zip program. (Through search help you will get XSL Mapping programs that you imported under Imported Archives, select your corresponding XSL Program)
    u2022 Test this mapping program by navigating to Test tab.
    By having look at above steps you can easily find out that this mapping is no where different from other mapping programs, here the challenging lies in creating an XSLT file. If you spend couple of minutes in studying XPATH tutorial you would be in ideal position to create an XSL Transformation (.xsl extension).
    If you still find difficulties in generating XSL Transformation, then you can make use of a tool u201CAltova MapForceu201D which will create XSL file for you.
    Steps for creating XSL file using this tool:
    1. Open the Alto MapForce, import the source .xml and .xsd file in it
    2. Similarly import the target .xml and .xsd in MapForce.
    3. These two data files should match with source and target data types in Integration Repository.
    4. Complete the graphical mapping using extensive list of XSLT functions available there.
    5. Save the mapping file.
    6. Click the XSLT tab. You will have the entire xslt logic there.
    7. Copy that content and save it as .xsl file.
    8. Zip above .xsl file and import the same into IR under Imported Archives.

  • Function in xslt mapping?

    Hi guys,
            I want to split the resultset containing many rows coming from database into a set fo individual rows using xslt mapping. I know we can acheive this using "split by value" node function in graphical mapping. But want is the name of the function used in this case present xslt mapping.
    Regards,
    Suresh.

    HI,
    XSLT supports java script as well, but XI has few restrictions that it could support particular versions of parsers, and limitations on XSLT capabilities.
    Thus I will suggest you to use some of the string APIs to split the resultset by adding the contextChange in it.
    You could use XSLT mapping with Java Enhancments

  • Wanna learn XSLT mapping??

    hi forum, i want to learn xslt mapping, can the forum pls help me....
    and i want to know in which case XSLT mapping is better than java mapping and Graphical mapping

    Hi Sudeep,
    XSLT  mapping is just a  mapping similar to  Message mapping  available in the SAP XI,  the xml  mapped file  is said to  be XSLT  mapping, A tool  available  from Stylus studio . it  will be  graphical one  and very  easy  one.assume if u want to add zero in front of the
    field we have to add that many zeros  in that field thats it.. similar kind  of lot  of  functions  ready made  available.
    this will make the performance of the system bit  slow.. if  we  use  XSLT mapping  and BPM  then  the interface is in  Task (  will have performance  impact a lot )
    Advantage is  we  can mappe as we  wish  and import the file that it.

  • XSLT-Mapping oder Message Mapping (grafisches Mapping)?

    Hallo,
    which mapping type is the best? xslt oder message mapping?
    Jens

    Hi,
    In terms of perfromance , XSLT is supposed to be very bad and is to be avoided whenever possibl.e
    Graphical Mapping is the best when it comes to performance of the mapping.
    But , there are a few features, which are not possible using graphical in which case you might have to go for JAVA/ ABAP / XSLT mapping.

  • JMS to IDOC xslt mapping

    Hi,
    We have a JMS to IDOC scenario. We are using PI7.1.  We are currently using XSLT Mapping . This needs to be replaced by Graphical mapping as XSLT mapping  is consuming more memory.
    If we remove the XSLT Mapping between source and target would we need content conversion for the soruce file  ?
    Please advice.
    Thanks,
    Teresa

    Hi Teresa,
    File Content conversion(fcc) is used to convert Any format file to XML format, while sending the data into PI.
    & XML format to Any required output format, while sending data out of PI.
    B'cos, PI only understands XML language.
    So, this has nothing to do with XSLT mapping in your case.
    change XSLT mapping to Graphical mapping. that should accomplish your task.

  • What is XSLT mapping ? where it can be carrid out in PI?

    Hi all,
    What is XSLT mapping ?
    Where it can be carrid out in PI?
    How it is useful in excel to RFC scenario ?
    Can some one help on this please?
    Regards
    Venkat

    Hi
    XSLT is one type of mapping that Xi supports. XSLT mapping also do have certain advantages like if you need a formatted output like HTML in XSLT it would be easy to implement... XSLT is a W3C standard so if also works in any other integration s/w other than XI so it is portable.
    Advantage
    the changes to XSD's loses all mappings with graphical mappings but with XSLT's you just add the field changed or added, instead of starting over

    Hi,
    I think <xsl:text>#xa;</xsl:text> should do the trick, but depending on which OS (ux or win), the "new line" chars sequence is different (win would require a CRLF like <xsl:text>#xd;*#xa;</xsl:text>)

  • Xi xslt mapping

    1.where do I write the xsl mapping?
    2.Do I need to import the xsd and namespaces for applying xsl onto the xml files(outbound xml and Inbound xml) in these IDEs?
    3.How to test whether applied xsl mapping on the Outbound xml data is mapped to Inbound or receiving xml file?
    4.how should I use this xslt developed outside XI and use it in XI?
    1.You can use any available XML transformation IDEs like Xml Spy or Stylus studio.
    2.  No. There is no need to import neither these xsd nor the necessity to create namespaces. You just create Outbound xml file with same structure as in xi and apply the XSL to that xml file.
    3.Here testing outside      XI means just transforming the outbound xml data into inbound xml data with whatever elements you want by applying the XSL.
    when you import this xsl file in XI as archive file you insert the namespace in the root element of the creating inbound xml tree in xslt.This namespace is very import.
    4.You should zip this xslt file and in XI goto Mapping objects and right click on imported archives and select new.goto the ziped files directory and click import archive button.To use this xslt mapping go to the interface mapping and in mapping program select xsl from the drop down and select the imported xslt mapping.

    Thanks for the suggestion,
    completely forgot about the simpler <xsl:message/> command. I tried this, and it worked fine in Stylus.....but not in XI.
    I think the problem s when the file is being loaded. An alert box pops up. It says
    "Transformer configuration exception occurred when loading XSLT GDS_to_DP.xsl (http://sap.com/xi/GDSConsole, 155fc320-f69f-11d8-97f7-c0140a114c15, -1)"
    and the trace window says this
    "10:00:13 Start of test
    Creating XSLT mapping GDS_to_DP
    URIResolver called with href = GDS_DP_Common.xsl and base = GDS_to_DP.xsl
    Source resolved. System id = GDS_DP_Common.xsl
    10:00:14 End of test"
    It seems obvious (from deduction) that the problem lies in GDS_DP_Common.xsl. XI will not give me any information precisely where this occurs
    Thanks for you earlier answer Alessandro

  • XSLT Mapping : XML to Fixed Length File

    Hi,
    I have to code a XSLT mapping which converts the XML into a Fixed Length File Format. I am getting the output but it has some garbage values (Some extra spaces in front of first record and also extra blank lines before the first record)
    I am pasting my xsl sheet :
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
         <xsl:output method="text" indent="yes" media-type="text/plain"/>
         <xsl:template match="Employees">
              <xsl:for-each select="Employee">
                   <xsl:value-of select="Name"/>
                   <xsl:value-of select="ID"/>
                   <xsl:value-of select="ADD"/>
                   <xsl:text>&#xA;</xsl:text>
              </xsl:for-each>
         </xsl:template>
    My input XML file is as follows:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <p1:Test02 xmlns:p1="http://www.infosys.com/xi/training/hyd/66289">
            <Employees>
              <Employee>
                 <Name>Anurag</Name>
                 <ID>1121</ID>
                 <ADD>Hyderabad</ADD>
             </Employee>
             <Employee>
                 <Name>Divya</Name>
                 <ID>1122</ID>
                 <ADD>Hyderabad</ADD>
             </Employee>
             <Employee>
                 <Name>Rasmi</Name>
                 <ID>1123</ID>
                 <ADD>Bangalore</ADD>
                </Employee>
         </Employees>
    </p1:Test02>
    And the output i am receiving is as follows:
        Anurag1121Hyderabad
    Divya1122Hyderabad
    Rasmi1123Bangalore
    Please do help.....

    hi,
    >>>>
    <xsl:output method="text" indent="yes" media-type="text/plain"/>
    you allow the spaces by using indent="yes"
    try with indent="no"
