"Y" Adapter Recomendation?

Can somebody recommend a good "Y" Adapter for outputting from "one" side of a video card into two monitors?
I want to do this so I can output the other side to an HD External Monitor.
I have found a few but they all have mixed reviews.
Thanks in advance!

I am not sure that is going to work for you.
When you stretch across two monitors...you use the two outputs from the card with a monitor on each, to do so.
But: I think there are  a few ways to "skin this cat"
My CS4 Suite has two 23" monitors used for PPRO GUI  ( ie stretched across 2 screens with my custom Workspace)
I can play out to full screen on the second monitor with this set up.
Same system also has two externals connected vi fire wire and a DV converter box ( client TV and a Broadcast Monitor).
My new CS5 Suite is built around a SIngle 27" Monitor.  There is plenty of "real estate" on this monitor with the standard Editing Workspace
I will connect the second out put to a TV Monitor that can accept  vga input ( and everything else as well)
I will connect my broadcast monitor via F/W.
I also use the Tilde Key shortcut in both these systems frequently.

  • Recomendation to store DataBase Adapter/ password

Hi, until now I just save the database password at the database connection object in Jdeveloper (I check the option "deploy password") and thats how I use the DataBase Adapter, but, if I want to change the DB password???
So, wich is the best way to store a "dynamic" database password to use it with bpel????

You should use data sources. The JNDI name location you define at design time needs to be setup on the App server. This way you can change the DB connections on the APP Server. This is how we migrate through environments. You also need to make sure that your development team uses the same connection names.

  • Need a mini display port and audio to HDMI adapter for mid 2009 13" macbookpro

Can some body recomend an adapter cable that plugs into the audio (mid 2009 MacBookPro 13") and mini display port and outputs to HDMI with audio and video all together for a TV?  I would rather not run a separate audio cable in addition to the HDMI cable.

  • File adapter - connection mode

    Hi,
    RE: File adapter
Can someone please supply me with some information:
What is the difference between connect mode - permanently/file per transfer?
When does the connection get closed?
    Thanks,
    Leanne

    Hi,
    Permanently:
An existing connection to the FTP server is used permanently.
The connection is reestablished automatically if it is closed by the server.
==>> It will not get closed if the data flows continuesly.it will get closed if it is not in use. then when ever the use comes into picture means the connection will be Established automatically.
    Per File Transfer:
A new connection to the FTP server is established for each file transfer.
==>>It will be closed for each and every file Transfer and will be opened every time.
Connection mode Permanantly will be better, each and every time closing and opening is not recomended

  • PLAIN J2SE ADAPTER

WHY PLAIN J2SE ADAPTER ENGINE IS SEPARATELY MAINTAINED FROM AN ADAPTER ENGINE?

    Hi,
The Plain J2SE Adapter helps you to exchange messages with partners or even inside your own company to communicate to home grown systems it was the PCK of XI 2.0 and is mantained separately because in the Adapter Engine you have all the adapters you need and for partners that does not have XI or custum systems that does not have a way of comunication you use the Plain J2SE this is why is mantained separately becuase you use it to exchange messages with Adapter engine that runs in XI.
It is recomended by SAP to use the PCK (Parner Connectivity Kit)

  • Using Power Adapter with surge suppressor

I have been experiencing a new issue with my new Powerbook: I have been connecting my Powerbook G4 to a APC laptop surge supressor that I recently purchased. Now several weeks later I am noting that some time after I start up the computer that the light on the connector at the computer has gone out and unknowingly the computer has been running on battery instead of AC power (I am more observant now). Today I connected the power adapter directly into the AC outlet and thus far everything is going fine = light is green on the AC adapter connector. Is a surge protector necessary or desireable with the Apple AC connector. I am suspicious that the surge suppressor is very sensitive to power line "noise" and essentially shuts the power off to the computer. I thought others may have experienced the same as I have or be interested in this type of problem.
    Milton in Florida

I think that your serge protector is faulty. I, like the other responce, recomend the belkin products for portable computing.
The use of a power protection device is recomended for all electronic devices. I have been using a serge protector with all my computers (desktop and laptop) for a very long time. I had a protable serge protector that did the same thing a few years ago and found that is was faulty and the company repaced it free of charge. If you have not had the serge protector for very long you should be able to return it to the store that you bought it from for an exchange. If you have had it for a while then contact APC and use the warienty.

  • File Adapter creating huge connections and not releasing.

    Hi,
We see high no. of current connections in file adapter from weblogic console against eis/HAFileAdapter under deployments -> fileadapter -> monitoring -> Outbound Connection Pools and are concerned about the same. It seems like fileadapter is not releasing the connection and hence no. of connections are piling up over a days and depending upon the transactions. coz after a restart the values comes down from 36000 to 10 ( which is default initial connection).
But when i see at the datasource level i don't see that much number of active connections. Need to know why this is happening and is this behavior is expected?

    Hi Arik,
    To answer your questions :
You are using HAFileAdapter in your processes JNDI defenitions? --Yes
Check in your HAFileAdapter Connection Pool if Shrinking Enabled is set to true. --Its set to true
I would recomend also to change the properties Test Connections On Reserve to true, and Test Frequency Seconds(900 is the default). --These properties are also in place

  • RJ-45 to USB Adapter for console connection?

    Hello,
I would like to configure a Cisco 3600 Router with my laptop, however, I do not have the RJ-45 to DB-15 cable, nor do I have the DB-15 serial port on my laptop. I also do not have the required DB-15 to USB adapter that would be needed to assist me in connecting my computer to the router.
Just curious (so I won't have to buy the cable and the adapter), is there an RJ-45 to USB cable that would allow me to connect directly from Cisco's 3600 Router console port directly to my laptop?
    Thank you,

In the labs here at Cisco, and at the Cisco Networking Academy I work for, we use the light blue Cisco flat console cable (Male RJ-45 connection and a Female DB-9 Serial connection), and then a USB adapter to hook to our computers.
The blue cables are very cheap online, as every lab that orders Cisco equipment has ZILLIONS of them.  The adapters are pretty inexpensive as well; just note not all are plug-and-play; some need specific drivers (usually easily found online).
Recomended Google/E-bay/Amazon search criteria:  "Cisco Console Cable" and "Female DB-9 Serial to USB"

  • I want to connect a usb drive via adapter cable to...

I want to connect a usb drive via adapter cable to my nokia C2-01.is this phone support usb otg feature as in nokia x2-00?if not then please recomend a method to connect a usb drive to this phone..
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi mate,
Sadly the Nokia C2-01 does not support USB OTG functionality. There is no method AT ALL to connect a USB device to this phone in the way that you have stated. If you require storage then instead of a USB drive you can use a microSD card up to 32GB, as the phone supports it.

  • Database adapter MCF configuration for jDeveloper

    Hi All-
Help me to understand the mcf configuration in database adapter wsdl.
When we develop BPEL process, the database adapter wsdl file has mcf configuration mentioned in it from the connection we made in jDeveloper. wsdl file also has JNDI locaton which we actually need to define in application control of SOA suite which in runtime gets the database detail from application control of SOA suite, not from mcf details.
It always recomended to remove the mcf, is it because if the JNDI mention is not defined in the SOA application control, it may look for the mcf configuration too and if found it will fire the database connection mentioned at design time.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sreejit

    Hi Sreejit,
Please note that the .mcf properties has dependency on JDeveloper. As it is currently, the .mcf properties only have relevance on the platform on which the process was developed.
The process can only be worked on by another developer on another platform if these properties remain in place. If deleted, the connection information can no longer be edited in the wizard, and so the connection is effectively hardcoded. This unnecessarily complicates the development process since it results in multiple versions of a single BPEL process as it moves throughout the
development lifecycle and into Production, adding signficant busy work on top of the normal development activities. Moreover, these properties are a JDeveloper/Oracle convention and not part of the open standard WSDL specification.
    Hope this helps!
    Cheers

    END;

One possible cause for this may be due to a version incompatibility between JDeveloper and SOA. Make sure that both components are version 10.1.3.3 or above. From the stack trace, it looks like the use of JPublisher is involved. There were several fixes added for 10.1.3.3/10.1.3.4 to address problems like yours. We've seen this issue posted in the BPEL and SOA forums before.

  • MacBook and MacBook Pro power adapter

Quick question: I have a MBP, and my girlfriend has an MB - is it safe to use the power adapters interchangeably?
I notice that the MBP has two power ratings on it, whereas the MB only hasone - does this mean that the MBP PSU is smart enough to know which rating to use, whereas the MB PSU will only charge the MBP at the lower rating?
Or should the chargers only be used with the machines they are delivered with?
    thx
    Simon

    Hi Simon,
The power adapter for the MBP is OK for the MB but the reverse is not recomended as the MB adapter is not as powerul. The MacBook doesn't have the hardware, graphics card, processor, lighted keypad, etc.
