Y does gmail send many copies of a recent email to the trash folder when i send an email?

y do i get a lot of copies in my trash folder when i send an email? the longer the email the more copies in progression i have in the trash.

But would you reread my previous message in the mean time...I may not be using the correct terminolgy for what I am trying to find out. AndI am sorry for that. This stuff is very confusing for me but I am trying.
I do not have any thing in the trash. I don't even know if I have a trash folder.
#1.I wanted to know if I could have somehow deleted the trash folder ? in my email site?
#2 If it is possible than would this be why I cannot get the messages in inbox to delete to the trash folder?
#3 When I try to delete anything on this computer I get the message on my screen..++++ telling me that whatever it is that I am trying to delete could not be moved to that mailbox because "Deleted messages -mail.comcast.net does not allow messages to moved to it+++++ Doesn't make sense to me and that is why I wanted to know if it was possible that I may have deleted the trash folder under the INBOX , SENT, DRAFTS, and then where the TRASH folder is suppose to be?
#4 Everytime I try to delete anything this message box shows up that tells me what is written in #3 between the +++++ ++++++
It is like there is no trash folder to delete anything to. It this possible that there is not a trash folder because I could have deleted the Trash folder??

Not sure about yahoo, but for gmail, I done the following:
Set up using Exchange on iPhone, it'll keep prompting for password. On PC use captcha option, log in to gmail account from PC after completingg captcha option, enter password on iPhone.
See how that goes for gmail, let us know.
Hopefully someone will have fix for yahoo.

Gmail with Apple Mail problem: inbox label in the trash folder

I am using Gmail with IMAP In Apple Mail (3.6), after I deleted a mail from inbox, it correctly move the mail to Trash.
However, when I check it in the Trash folder in my web Gmail, there is a inbox label appear on every mail that I deleted from Apple Mail. Does anyone know how to deal with this issue?

Deleted a message from Mail does not move it to the trash folder

I am a brand new mac user, so it's possible I just don't know what I am doing yet.
I have added my IMAP email account to Mail with the following mailbox behavior:
When I delete a message from my Inbox, in Mail it appears to move to the Trash folder. However, if I log into the webmail interface I can see it actually still exists in the Inbox, but has been marked as deleted (there is a line through it). It is not actually moving the message on the server into a trash folder, like iPad does. If I pull up the Trash folder on my iPad, it does automagically reflect the item I deleted. However, on my phone (not an iPhone), the messages are missing from the Trash folder.
How do I configure Mail on my Mac to behave like Mail on the iPad? When I delete a message, I want it to move the message into the Trash folder on the server.

I figured it out. Mail created a new folder called, "Deleted Messages." I was looking in "Deleted Items," which was an old folder.

You're not looking in your trash can. And if you've emptied your trash can, the message is gone.
To open your trash, you have inboxes on the top, and accounts below. Tap the mail from the accounts. That's where your trash can is. Tap it. If the mail is not permanently deleted it will be in the trash.

So make a top-level Project called "_Circular File". Put Images in there that you what to have out of your way but not discarded.
It really is good and proper to treat the Trash as trash. I instruct everyone to _empty_ the Aperture Trash at the end of _every_ session. The reason is this: it is the only time you will remember whether it is safe to delete the items in there. If you wait, you will then waste time trying to answer "Did I really mean to throw that out?" or, periodically, you'll give up trying to remember, and will empty the Trash without reviewing it. At the end of every session, examine the Trash, confirm that the items there are trash, and empty it.
Shocking, perhaps, but you should also empty your system trash every day. The real-life equivalents are good guides here. No-one in an office hoards their trash. If you mean to throw something out, throw it out. If you don't mean to throw it out, do not put it in the trash.
I don't know how TM handles the Aperture Trash. I do know, however, that I would not expect this behavior to remain consistent, and would absolutely recommend against a workflow based on it.

So with today being the App Store's 5 year anniversary, there are a LOT of top notch apps becoming free, which I have wanted.
However this worries me - can having too many apps downloaded affect my iPod Touch 5g's performance & battery life?

I say they will only adversely effect performance and battery life if the apps do things when the apps are completely shut down. By shutdown I mean the app are not in the recently used row when yo double click the Homne button. By doing something I mean that sme apps are always checking for things like when you get a notification.

Why does mail program show multiple copies of a message, in various stages of completion in the trash folder ?

I am using an iMac with OS 10.9.4, Mail 7.3. My mail trash file contains multiple copies of partially complete messages I've sent. This problem seemed to begin when I began using "Maverick".

Rebuilding the trash makes no difference at all.

If you didn't try this, open a Finder window. Type in Safari in the search field top right corner of the window.
Also, check the Trash.

Problem w Plug-in Check page: the "Update" button for my outdated version of the WMP plugin does not do anything, and no link is indicated in the status bar when I mouse over the button.

In Firefox, I select Tools > Add-ons > Find Updates. The Plugin Check page comes up in the browser. The entry for the WMP Plugin indicates it is out of date. I click on the "Update" button and nothing happens. When I mouse over the button, no link is indicated in the status bar (it continues to read "Done").
The entries for the other plugins indicate they are current. When I mouse over the "Up to date" button for each of those entries, a link is indicated in the status bar.

IWorks update does not work if I moved my .app out of the default folder

How stupid is that. I just moved thePages, Numbers and Keynote out of the default folder (iWork '09) and now automatic updates don't work and manual updates tell me that it can't find the files to update. How hard is it to either search for them in Applications or ask me?

(2) They aren't aliases in the Finder's acception.

Nothing related to the location of the applications.
On my iMac running 10.6.4, the iWork'09 folder is on an external HD which isn't the boot volume, the one containing the Operating System.
So, I guess that your 'problem' isn't linked to the applications location.

Does the TRASH folder go into Time Machine?

So i've been able to backup time machine the first few times, but after that it says "the backup is too large for the backup volume". I have one folder "excluded" where i add and delete very large files (sometimes up to GBs).
I'm wondering if i delete these huge files and they go to the TRASH and then I immediately empty the trash...Do they get included into my time machine backup? Could that be what maybe causing the large size error? If so, where is the trash folder so that i can exclude it? Thanks.
