(Mountain Lion) suddenly the screen turns black, and I have to use the on/off switch to turn it on. And, the screen turns to zoom, and the only way to return to normal is to close the window and start all over again?
Does the screen go black while you are using the machine? ...or after it has sat idle for a bit?
If it happens while you're using the machine, check to see if a hot corner has been set for sleep. You can do that here: System Preferences > Desktop & Screen Saver > Screen Saver and click the button labelled "Hot Corners..." in the lower right.
If it happens after a bit of idle time, that's normal sleep behavior. The delay can be adjusyed here: System Preferences > Energy Saver.
In either case, pressing any key on the keyboard should bring it out of sleep.
Re zooming -
If this happens while in Safari, and you are using an Apple Magic Mouse, a default setting applicable to it is that a soft double-tap on the mouse will zoom the Safari window. A second double-tap will bring it back.
If it is the entire screen that is zooming, Control plus scroll gesture on the mouse will zoom the whole screen. Repeat with the opposite scroll gesture to bring it back. -

After successful install, all my adobe cc docs, when open, change pointer arrow, i-beam and window elements to oversize. When doc closes all return to normal size. I'm on a PC. Screen res set to medium 1920x1200. Any ideas how to fix?

Screen images becomes big and out of proportion

I've just upgraded to IO 4.3 and everything went perfectly smooth. Suddenly when I was using safari the whole screen images became big and out of proportion for that screen... It's like resolutions of my display would go crazy... I remember this particular issue happened to me on an earlier iPhone model... I don't remember how I solved then.
Please, could someone help me?

How do I reformat the size of images and text on page to fit in normal full screen?
Recently my computer crashed due to age. I can reboot the system and have done so reinstalling all programs using Windows. I have Firefox that I use but my homepage is set to aol as this is my email address. IT was on Sunday evening Dec. 26th that my computer was rebooted after having been out of commission for a month. I just did not have time to do it sooner due to holidays. My problem is that when I got my homepage, which was the Mozilla Get Started introductory page, the images were absolutely huge. I can see what I am supposed to, however, it looks like the images have been zoomed in so many times. I don't like this. I want my pages to display images as normal size for full screen mode. I have tried using the View tab and choosing the zoom option, but it does virtually no good-if I zoom out you can still see things like images but print is too tiny and blurry. Again, never have I enlarged the font, pics, or anything else for the matter. I like my settings on fonts to be standard (10-14) depending on what I am seeing. I don't understand why this happened. This is the first time I am seeing this issue ever and need help. If I want to see all of my page I have to scroll horizontally and vertically in order to see it all. I want to see it all at one time. I have never encountered this problem before. Can anyone help me? I would appreciate someone contacting me soon via email of [email protected] denoting to me an appointment time I can log on and get live chat help for this. Please let me know if this can be done or if I need to just try to live with it. Thank you for you help in this in advance and I look forward to hearing from my pals at Firefox because the staff have always been very helpful in past issues needing help on my end. I am using an iPhone 5 (16GB) iOS 7.0.4.
Currently the size of the mail app is 1GB and is continously increasing, even though the advanced settings in the mail account have been set as following:
MOVE DISCARDED MESSAGES INTO:
Deleted Mailbox
DELETED MESSAGES:
Remove: After one day
INCOMING SETTINGS:
Delete from Server: When removed from Inbox
The problem that I am facing is that only a few emails reside on my iPhone as I keep deleting emails, which are also deleted from the server automatically because of the settings as above, which is perfectly fine. The emails are deleted from the Mail app and only a very few of them are visible which I have not deleted as yet, and all is fine till here. The problem is that the size of the Mail app is more than 1GB and is continously increasing, when i check the size of the Mail app in the Settings > General > Usage section.
When I search for an email that has previously been deleted from the search feature by swiping down in the main page, it still comes up in the search, and upon clicking the searched email, it takes me into the Mail app, however, the mail is not there. I have tried searching for emails which were deleted weeks ago, and they still come up in the search feature, however, they DO NOT open in the Mail app when i click them within the search feature in the main page.
Up until a couple of months ago, the size of the Mail app was about 5.2GB and at this point I had no space on my 16GB iPhone 5, therefore I resetted my phone two months ago, and after a complete reset of the iPhone 5, the size of the Mail app went back to 0.3KB (like it was brand new out-of the box); however, within a matter of two months the size of the Mail app has now exceeded 1GB and is continously increasing, as I receive alot of emails which is why I delete them on daily basis and even delete them from the Trash folder (mailbox).
I have read alot of blogs and even checked with other friends using similar settings on the same model, however, I just cant seem to figure this out. I would really appreciate if someone can help me with this issue as I dont want to have to reset it again after another 2-3 months.
There are practically only 14-15 emails on my Mail app with not alot of KBs for these emails, and the trash folder is also empty, but the size of the Mail app is still not reducing. Please help!!

Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
Also consider deleting and reinstalling the Mail Account in question. -
I have a problem with a apple ibook g4 I bought 2 weeks ago
from ebay. It had tiger and I installed leopard on it and it had been
working perfectly for about a 2 weeks. There was nothing wrong using
tiger except it did not remember my settings. I would have set up my
email or itunes everytime the computer started. I wanted the updated
leopard so I installed that and it fixed the memory problems. After
that it worked great with no problems at all for a week, until now. Here is my problem when I start my
ibook it starts up with a blue screen instead of the grey screen. This all started when I closed the top and
put it in sleep mode when I opened it back up when it came out of
sleep mode the screen looked funny colored and a little
fuzzy. I have shut the top down and opened it hours later and it never did this before. Sometimes it will flash in and out of the funny colors to normal
look and other times it will stay that weird fuzzy off looking color. And it will start and sometimes flash between funny
looking to normal and then switch to normal color. I had no problems
with it doing this until 2 days ago. I am sending you
this email using my ibook g4 and it looks normal right now for a few seconds then it flashs a little and goes back to that weird screen. This
morning when I first started it up it went weird colored a little then
back to normal and stayed normal for about 1 minute. Yesterday when I was using it I saw
a quick blue colored flash once in a while as it looked normal other then the flash then went to the strange colors. It has never done this
before either until 2 days ago. My battery does not set
flush in the case but I don't think that would be a problem. My Ibook
is the 14" version with 1.42 Ghz PPC 7450 chip and 1 Gb memory. This
is my 1st apple and not as familiar with it as windows. What do you
think is wrong with it? It worked so good up until now. I would hate
to just junk it I just bought it. I have heard it coulod be the logic board. Does anybody have a clue what is wrong? Any help would be VERY much appreciated. Thank You, JimIt does sound like the logic board. It's not uncommon for an iBook with a faulty logic board to work intermittently. You can't count on it, though. It could fail completely at any time.
DT&T Computer Services in Fremont, California has the best deal I've found on logic board replacements. They do free diagnostics, so they would make sure that's what you need, and there is a six-month warranty on the repair.

I'm always a little sad that people are basing their opinions of Macs on these older iBooks. Yours is the newest iBook in existence, but it's still over five years old — ancient in computer terms. -
How can I get the screen to return to normal size after magnifying?
I've had my phone for a week and just encountered a problem I can't get out of. My nephew inadvertently held the phone with 3 fingers on the screen, now the screen is magnified and I can't get it back to normal. I've tried resetting the phone and the applie Icon came back, then my screen - normal size; but as soon as I touched the screen to put in my passcode the magnification came back on and the screen seems to 1) go in the opposite direction than I'm scrolling, when it moves at all and 2) I can't get it to go back to normal size - help
If you have trouble turning Zoom off from your iPod, connect the iPod to iTunes, click the Summary tab, and click the "Configure Universal Access..." button. Select neither under the "Seeing" section and click "OK".
