Yahoo Account Hacked - All Mail Deleted - Only mail on phone remains...

One of my yahoo accounts was hacked and all of my mail was deleted. However, all of my mail remains on my iPhone because I used POP3. How do I transfer my mail to my computer?
I would really appreciate any assistance.

Unless there is a 3rd party utility available that provides for transferring email from an account's mailbox to your computer but then the email would need to be imported by an email client and not sure if an email client supports that, you can email each email to yourself.

Background: I recently (December) bought an ipad and set up icloud for contacts and calendar, but NOT mail. My email provider is Verizon. I use computer, iphone, and ipad to check my email; eventually I download it from the server using Outlook on the computer and then delete any remaining emails from the phone and ipad. I can't find info on this problem anywhere.

It sounds like your iPad all of a sudden seems to be restarting out of no where. If you haven't called AppleCare yet, I would start with quitting either the app that seems to be causing the issue, or all the apps if a single doesn't seem to be the culprit.
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If the issue persists, backup your device to iTunes, then restore it as new and verify that it works.
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself.

I found this fix. When I had a iPhone 3s, it was set up with att email as POP server. Email would stay on my phone until I deleted it. I liked it that way. In Decmeber, I upgraded to new 4s. I found that when I set up my att email, it was linked to the server?? Anything I deleted from server was deleted from phone, and visa-versa. Furthermore, I had my server setttings set such, that only about 50 emails stayed there, so emails were being deleted left and right. It was horrible!!
Here is what i did to restore to my old settings:
1. Put phone on airplane mode. This prevents it from automatically going out and setting up the inbound/outbound maile servers on its own.
2. Deleted ATT account
3. Created new ATT account using the server settings of inbound.att.net and outbound.att.net. These are POP style servers, so nothing is directly linked.
4. take off airplane mode (no pun intended)
Now it's AWESOME. Just like before. My phone will load up with hundreds of emails until I choose to delete them. I hope this helps many of you. Please pass this fix along on any other message boards.

Can't access yahoo account. continues to bounce back from mail box asking password?

I can not access my Yahoo account. When I log in and go to mail box I get bounced back to "Verify Password". Need held.

A number of posters are reporting this problem. It could be a problem with the Yahoo server. If deleting and setting up thevaccount again is not the solution then give it a few hours.

My bt yahoo accout was hacked and alll of my contacts are gone. Is there any way for me to regain control of my e-mail account again and recover my contacts? I can still sign in and enter but all of my e-mail s are gone as well as my contacts. How do I recover these things and secure my account against future attacks

Hi. Welcome to the forums.
If I may be brutally honest, how do you mean warned etc ? If a hacker manages to get into anyone's account, there is frankly nothing that can be done after that.
Have you ever responded to an email pretending to be from BT asking for username, password, DoB etc ? These phish emails have been around for a decade or more, and target all the banks, building socities, ISPs and all sorts of (usually) large companies.
Also things like social networking has been used to get user details, and is now apparently one of the first places criminals go to try to get user details. Many people tend to give away DoB, and all sorts of other details, a lot of which can be security answers to questions for logging into websites.
Similarly with various viruses, trojans and spyware - these can pass on user details to hackers if the machine is infected.
Using cyber cafes (some may be dodgy, or have infected computers) could also compromise the user.
It's not only the above for the user to consider, there is also any contacts who themselves had infected computers, or been phished giving details away.

Mail - Deletion of Mail e-mails

Trying to delete a number of e-mails using delete icon; the e-mails initally clear but on re-use find that the deleted e-mails are still present on the system. Any ideas on how to delete deleted e-mails!!!

Gmail does that with its "All Mail" folder, label, black hole, or whatever you want to call it.
There is a setting in the Web interface allowing you to actually delete what you deleted.

E72 sent mail showing only on the phone

Hi all
Whenever i sent mail from my nokia E72 copy gets into sent folder. I am subscribed to my imap sent folder. When i'm at home checking my mail i see that none of the mails i have sent from the phone are showing up in sent folder. Every mail i sent from computer is there, but none of the phone sent ones....
anyone willing enlighten me?

I aplogize for the really late response, but it seems that the problem has been fixed, whether it was a Gmail or a Nokia issue, it doesn't matter anymore
I just tried sending an email from my Nokia E72 and the email appeared in the Sent folder in my Gmail account (accessed through Firefox, on my computer) just seconds later

Mail deleting my mail!

I have no junk mail filtering, no rules, but Mail deletes my email and it is not in the trash or in the junk mail folder! I open the Mail application and I see my messages and then watch as they disappear.

Same problem here - noticed it first a couple of days ago.
I do have a rule (just the default apple highlight one) and do have junk filtering on - but only "put into junk" not delete it.
I have done some trials but frankly they weren't particularly revealing - I thought it was linked to having the system set to remove the messages from my POP server on download, but I'm not sure about that.
It does only seem to affect the inbox folder - so ironically junk and deleted mail are kept...
Strangely it seems happier now I have set up a second rule which copies every mail to a local folder called "localmail" - as a result of which the mail in the main inbox is kept as well as the new copy.
This is very very frustrating, not least for the other users of my machine who are now concerned about logging in in case their mail archives are deleted also. Thankfully I didn't have too many sat in the inbox - and I have simply contacted those that have sent me to resend it.

Why a specific e-mail already deleted in the outlook, which is sync with iphone, still showing in the iphone screen many days later despite of the fact that all other e-mails are deleted without a problem?
My iphone is sync with my outlook e-mails with a corporate account, has being working perfect since than, but I have one specific e-mail that came in few days ago, answered, and "deleted"; however when deleted i still getting a message "the message could not be moved to the mailbox trash" and the related e-mail still showing in my inbox.

Is this an IMAP account, or an Exchange account accessed via ActiveSync with the Exchange server?
If this message is no longer available in the account's Inbox mailbox on the server, try deleting and recreating the account on your iPhone.

I have two Yahoo accounts and all of my emails in my inbox show up twice!

I have two Yahoo email addresses, one being primary & one secondary (in Yahoo). When I add them both to my iPhone 4, each email shows up twice in my inbox when I'm looking at the "all inboxes".
Also, when I go to reply to an email, the "from" is the email address I set as my default, regardless of which email address it was sent to. Is there a way to change that?

How are you accessing the "7 days" account: IMAP or POP?
Are there other computers accessing the same account?

Mail deleting e-mail from server

My e-mail keeps disappearing from my server. When I link to my server through the interet (eg when I'm not at home), I can see and read my e-mail, but recent messages keep disappearing. Comcast is the server and they think it may be a problem with Mail. I've checked preferences on Mail and it is set to leave a copy on the server, but they keep dumping off of the server anyway. Is there a glitch with Mail that is telling the server to dump read mail? Anything I can do?

Account Hacked - All credit used up.

My account was hacked and my credit was all used up. Several call for a Swedish mobile phone were made in June, 9. I've sent a SMS to my mobile to prevent my credit to expire and 5 days later, pooof! I hope I can have my credit back!

All of my emails are gone. My accounts are all IMAP. Only one was affected. I had checked via a browser and my iPhone and the emails are gone. I am able to send/receive current emails, but have no idea what happened.

I have a MBP running Lion 10.7.3 and was importing some photos in to iPhoto '11 9.2.3 and thought I'd look at my mail. I opened it up, iPhoto got quit unexpectedly and the next thing I know my email inbox is empty, except for one "Apple iPod Antitrust email."
My email is on iCloud and I have look at my mail through browsers and my iPhone. The old emails are not there.
I have no idea what to do or where to start looking.
Help!

In the icloud settings theres a button that says "delete account", will that delete the account only from that device or delete the account entirely?

The implication of "Delete Account" is a little unclear and it's understandable to be concerned about it.
It merely deletes the account from the iPhone.
It can just as easily be added again.
