Yahoo added toolbar that I can't remove. It is not checked off in View. If I add to View then remove, it is still there.
I just rechecked the Tools/Options/Privacy and blocked Yahoo. It is not the normal Yahoo toolbar, which I was able to add and remove. This one has Yahoo logo, Search web for %s, Email this %t, IM this %t, Translate to English, Lookup %s in Dictionary.
If the apps are black, it sounds as though these apps are waiting to download to the phone from the cloud. If you didn't select these apps to appear on your phone, is it possible you have 'automatically install new apps' selected on iTunes for this phone? If so, the phone will attempt to download all new apps.
Not sure if this will work, but you could try restarting the phone. This worked for me once, when I had this problem.

A new programme has installed a button on the navigation bar that I can't remove by the usual method
I recently installed freemake video converter. It has put a button on the navigation toolbar which I can't remove by the usual drag and drop method customising toolbars. It has taken the place of my bookmarks button at the right hand side of the navigation toolbar.
You can't remove it by drag and drop in customize toolbars because it is only for Firefox components, not 3rd party extensions.
I am sorry, either you need to un-install the extension using the Add-ons Manager or contact Freemake. You can also look out if you can disable that button by going to Add-ons manager and selecting Options button FOR Freemake extension. -
I have songs on my iPhone 6 that I can't remove and when I plug into iTunes and go to "Summary" and "On This Device" the songs don't show up but they are on my phone. How do I remove them? Not even sure how they got on actually since I have a iTouch and keep all my music there. HELP!!
Have you tried deleting the songs from Settings?
Settings -> General -> Usage -> Manage Storage (not the iCloud link!) -> Music and then click Edit to enable you to be able to delete. -

Hi, both my husband and I have iphones synced to my apple id. It seems that we can't facetime due to this as it's like my email address is calling my email address! Is there anyway to fix this or will we need to create a new id for my husband's phone?
settings - facetime - remove the apple id, on your husband phone.
He should create his own id for imessage and facetime. -

Hi- I keep getting an error message show up when I sync my iPhone to my Mac Book Pro. the message is that I can't copy to the Macintosh disc because I don' have enough access privileges. Then when I click ok my phone gets stuck syncing. any thoughts?
Sounds like a possible permissions issue, try repairing the permissions using Disk Utility.
You can open Disk Utility several ways.
1. Use the Spotlight in the Upper Right corner of the screen and search for it, then click it to open it.
2. Open a new finder window (File> New Window)
- Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility
3. Click on the Finder
- Click 'Go' in the menu bar across the top of the screen.
- Click Utilities, then double click on Disk Utility.
Once Disk Utility is open there should be a column on the left side, the name of your hard drive should be listed there.
(By Default it is named Mac HD or Macintosh HD)
Click on it to highlight it.
There should then be a few buttons you can click
- Verify Disk Permissions
- Repair Disk Permissions
- Verify Disk
- Repair Disk

Have you ever jailbroken your iPhone with tether? Because if you have the jailbreak keeps a file on your phone making it so you can't update. To solve this problem your going to have to reset your phone.

Some more details will probably be required. The OS X version will help, as a start.
If you have the diagnostics DVD disk, boot that and see if there are any errors logged.
If this is OS X that's installed on a MacBook Air that you're using, then some of the usual triggers and approaches for resolving the still waiting for root device errors are discussed here. Have a look at that, and see if something in that sequence looks familiar, whether the PRAM reset or the safe boot helps or works here.
If there's any anti-malware, I/O accellerator, antivirus tools or similar installed, get rid of it. At least for testing.
There's a mention of "other OS" in your footer. If not OS X, what is the operating system in use here? If this is some other hardware or software involved, then the triggers for this error can vary. Widely. -
I have adobe Premiere Elements 13. It will not let me delete audio or have it fade in or out. I can move the yellow line all the way down till the volume reads -0.0, but the sound is still there on playback. I can click on fade in and fade out and the yellow line that graphs volume takes a sharp raise or dip at the beginning or end of the clip, but there is no change in volume when I play back. What am I doing wrong?

Now about those fades for the volume. How are you doing that?
1. Right click the Timeline video audio and select Fade and then
see the Fade options (I had a video with audio file, so I saw the choices as shown in the screenshot)
2. You can also create two volume keyframes at each end of the Timeline audio clip rubberband (orange line that goes horizontally across the middle of the audio clip). At the position of the Timeline Indicator, click the Add/Remove Keyframe icon, and then with the mouse cursor position the white dots (volume keyframes) to achieve the Fade In and Fade Out audio. In the screenshot below I have moved the Timeline Indicator so that you could better see the white dots (volume keyframes).
Please let us know if any of the above works for you with regard to the audio fades.

I added a custom ringtone . Then later I tried to add another three set but now after sync . Am not able to get rid of the first one... It's still there as my custom ringtone. But my iPhone in iTunes shows all four... But the phone shows only one...?
Paul--you are a life-saver!! Worked great. I did have to look around to make sure I was getting 4.9 instead of 4.7 (even when the file was named 4.9 at techspot.com), but I finally got the right file, did the install as you suggested, and everything is now fine. One note, though, that I haven't seen mentioned in any of this thread: when I first tried to open up iTunes after getting back to 4.9, the following message appeared: "The file iTunes Library.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes." I merely went to the old .itl file that was created when I did the update to iTunes 5, renamed it, moved it over to my now new 4.9, and iTunes opened fine. My library was a few days out of date, because of the few days' lag from the time I did the iTunes update, but that was easily taken care of, and everything's now working fine. Thanks again!!!

my itunes on my laptop (not a mac) has an error message that reads "the procedure entry point_objc_load_image could not be located in the dynamic link library.objc.dll" then another window will come up telling to to uninstall the apple mobile and itunes and reinstall them? will this delete everythin in the itunes account? please help

There is a column on my screen that I can't remove.
My iTunes was a mess so I deleted everything and imported my music from backup. Now I have a column titled "Album by Artist" that I did not choose and that I do not want but I can't remove it. This column does not look like the other columns. It contains icons with music notes next to the album title. Also it only appears on the first line next to the name of the first song and it is not repeated next to every song until the next album title appears. I have tried to delete it but there doesn't seem to be a way to do it. When I right click on the title there is no check next to it so it should not appear on my screen.. Any suggestions about how to get rid of it would be appreciated. Thank you.
You are in the Album List view. The left most column is not optional, but can be changed between Album, Album by Artist or Album by Artist/Year. Left-click on the column heading when it is already active for options.

Do you mean the Firefox title bar or a toolbar below the Menu bar and the Navigation Toolbar?
You can hide toolbars via View > Toolbars.
Toolbars can be added by an extension. You didn't list your extensions, so I can't see if there are candidates for a toolbar.
