Yahoo Email Hacked, unable to reset password/ID

My yahoo email has been hacked. Hacker has total control and has locked me out of my email account. Unable to reset my password, and trying to send my reset to my alternate email address. I need to remedy this quickly...Please help!!

    Hello Aditi,
    In AS Java 7.1 and higher you go to short link /nwa and navigate
    to Configuration -> Infrastructure -> Java System Properties – Switch to
    application tab in second section (Details about <InstanceName>) ->
    search for tc~idm~jmx~app.
    For 7.0 you have to do that in Visual Admin but I would need to read docu to know where it is too.

  • Unable to reset password on sub accounts

    I'm struggling to change the password on a couple of sub accounts that my family has forgotten, unfortunately when I use the password resetter it seems to get confused. I checked to make sure the security info on my primary email address was correct.
    The password resetter seems to point me to the helpdesk but this only gives me more options that then send me back to the resetter.
    I rang the helpdesk but unfortunately after half an hour of messing around, the guy was difficult to understand, and when I asked him to email me the reset password on the first account he apparently was not able to email me. It seems that customer service do not have email facilities.
    Whilst I'm not overly bothered about the sub accounts I do have some that are important to me and not being able to easily change the password on them seems to me to be a major failing.
    I realise that this is not BT and the connection with yahoo is loose to say the least it does seem a shame that what should be a very simple task is being made very hard by a combination of language issues and technology not working correctly.
    I have tried the step by step but it just pointed me at teh same failing resetter function
    If anyone in the BT care team can help it would be very much appreciated.

    Sadly I mentioned the difficulty on that number right in the first message, I spent 30 minutes, they really didn;t know what they were doing and I had to give up. The conversation was very difficult as I could barely understand what was being said half the time. I asked the CSO to email the reset password to my primary email but this was not possible apparently they are fixing email but don;t have any access to email !
    I'll wait and see if anyone else has a solution before I call them again, perhaps a custoner care person may be watchin gand take pity on me otherwise i'll just email Ian livingstone and see what he's got to say ;-)

  • Yahoo Email HACKED via having logged in from my Blackberry

    My Yahoo Email account becomes hacked and password compromised anytime that I use my Blackberry to log into my Yahoo Email by going to the Blackberry web browser, then my.yahoo.com, and then logging in.
    After the hacking I will use a computer to go to Yahoo Email and change the password.  The hacking will then stop.  Then if I use my Blackberry to login to Yahoo Email via the Blackberry web browser then the account becomes hacked again within minutes.   I have isolated the hacking to the Blackberry as I only use my personal computer and the Blackberry to login.  I will go weeks without a hacking incident but once I use my Blackberry to login to Yahoo Email the account shows logins from Canada within 5-30 minutes and then within 12 hours the spam emails start getting sent from my account.
     I can view the locations of logins to my Yahoo Email and they are typically from Canada when the hacking occurs.  After this hacker has gained access to my account then they start sending spam from my email to all of my contacts for a link to buy some sort of berry supplement.
    How is this hacking happening through my Blackberry?  Is there a virus on the device?  

    Yours would be THE first with a virus... so let's knock that out.
    What's happing is there is a plethora of spammers and "bot" spammers out there which do nothing but find active Yahoo email accounts and "fake" the email "sent" from ID from those "bot" spam machines. They don't know your password. It just sees an active email account, and makes it appear your account is sending those emails.
    They don't have to have your account password. No hacking. Just simple tom-foolery.

    Following endless requests to reset password I deleted my BT POP account from MacBook Pro. Now trying to setup the account again in Mac Mail client and continually get error:
    unable to verify account name and password
    Just to underline the absurdity of this error, I currently have access to BT mail via Webmail in Safari (obviously no problem with my account name and password there) also on an iPad and BlackBerry and a Mac Pro in my studio.
    Any ideas gratefully received

    Make sure you have entered the correct settings. They are........
    Server    mail.btinternet.com (incoming and outgoing)
    User name  full btinternet address  i.e  [email protected]
    Incoming port for POP3  995
    Outgoing SMTP port 465
    SSL enabled
    Server requires authentication ticked (or whatever the equivalent setting is in Mac Mail)
    Password  plain text (or whatever the equivalent setting is in Mac Mail)
    Set the account up manually rather than automatically

    If somebody hacked your email account and got your contacts, it's very unfortunate. Changing your password would be good, but probably too late since they already did the damage. You do need to take that up with Yahoo - I'd suggest sending them an email (their security department would be a good choice).

  • Email hacked, will not accept password

    My email was hacked a few days ago, and I cannot get my iPhone to accept new passwords for the old email addresses. I've gone into the email addresses themselves and reset their passwords multiple times, reset my iPhone mulitple times, deleted the accounts on my iPhone multiple times, even changed my Apple ID and password hoping that something would deter the problem. Alas, all of this hasn't helped. I keep trying to create new email accounts on my iPhone with the old email addresses and new passwords, but I keep recieving an error message saying that the password is incorrect, when I know for a fact that it IS correct, along with the email address. Is there a new virus out there that records keystrokes on an iPhone?? How can I get rid of this?? Any help is much appreciated. I need daily email to work and make a living.

    What did your email provider say when you contacted them?
    Chances are you have some kind of 2nd factor authentication set up on your account.

    I thought I was past all the email headaches I've had with the X. Its certainly not a Blackberry...lol
    Everything has been working fine for the last month and now all of a sudden it wont connect to Yahoo. I've tried removing the account and setting it up again. I've tried every different suggested setting. I got it to work and it synced up all my yahoo email and then an hour later it wouldnt connect again. The error message is "Incorrect username or password".  I've entered the correct information.....trust me.
    I am at wits end with this phone. The email problems have been going on since the Droid came out. Why hasnt Verizon resolved the problem?
    Any suggestions as to what I can do to get my problem correct? I love the phone...but hate the email functionality.

    Not a Verizon issue...a Droid issue. My bad...I see I stated verizon in the first post. I meant to say motorola.
     You can search the internet and find many people have had the same thing.. I've had lots of problems with bellsouth also....and so have many others. I still cant , and never have been able to, send an attachment with my bellsouth account.. I had a Verizon Blackberry for years and never once had trouble accessing yahoo or bellsouth. I dont want to switch back. I think the Droid is a cool phone......but if I'm paying $30 for a data plan and need to get my emails I expect to get my emails.

    Go to settings.....iCloud....account([email protected])......advanced mail([email protected])......iCloud account information.....name: change this to your me.com email address([email protected]). Therefore, name AND greyed out "email" are identical.
    I've had the same email and push failure since MobileMe to iCloud migration. Their migration process auto settings do not keep connection with their push server if connected at all.
    Try this.........because Apple ain't doing anything to help us. Just the royal runaround.

    For the last week or so I haven't been able to access my iCloud on my iPhone, because it keeps saying that the password for my AppleID is incorrect.  I've tried resetting the password on several occasions, but I can only reset the password for the ID associated with my iTunes.  I can't reset through email because the email never shows up, not even in my spam folders.  And I can't reset through security questions because when I enter in my birthdate the page says that the information is incorrect.

    I need some help with my account logging in. i just recently bought minutes for my skype account and used it twice and now it wont let me log in.     Apparently you didn't fully understand my problem, because the solution that you gave me is one which i have already tryed. The account that i am emailing you from is the new account that i created only to talk to you about my old account which i cannot get access too. It is telling me that my old email doesn't exist. I cannot seem to attach my old account to this new email. I also have a second email that i can use, but i cannot get any access. The link you gave me about the forgotten password is not applicable to my circumstance. 
    When you sent me that i did try it though and it keep trying to reset the pass for my new account. I need my old one to work or transfer. My old account email is [email protected] and the username is: rayper7

    I have been trying to set-up a skype account with a certain logon id, but it seems that the Microsoft account and Skype messed out everything.
    Now I end out with 2 emails that appear as they own an account but I can't reset the passwords because the password reset token isn't valid.

    Actually, I do not fully understood the issue based on the information you provided in your initial post so I need to make sure that we are now working on the correct account.  
    so next, request for a new password reset link again (be sure to use it within 6 hours upon receiving it or it will expire). Then try using another web browser to open that link if it still doen't work in the usual/default browser you are using. You can also try using another computer or device if such is available.
    If the same or similar problem exist, then you may need to get in touch with customer service for further assistance. They may require you to verify some details before they can proceed in assisting you in resetting your password/regain access to your account;

    I have an account I haven't used in a while (like 7 or 8 years ago, definitely before eBay acquired Skype) and I can't remember the password. No big deal, just reset the password right? Wrong. Every single password token I get says it's an invalid password token. I have to use a second account just to post this because I can't post anything without logging in.
