Yahoo Email Issue on iPhone

So my problem involves my iPhone 5s and 1 of my 2 yahoo email accounts. I am pretty sure the issue is on the email side as I tried adding this email to my wife's iPhone 5 and the same problem occurred.
I will regularly get push notifications that an email is in my inbox, but when I go to check it nothing is there. At the bottom, however, it states that there is 1 unread message. If I restart the phone or go into Setting>Mail, Contacts, Calendars and turn off the Mail slider and then turn it back on, the email will appear. This happens way too frequently during the day and is extremely annoying. I have tried deleting the account and reading it. I have tried adding the email using Other instead of Yahoo and still nothing works.
I am hoping that someone can help as this is driving me crazy.

I'm having the same problem with hotmail .. it worked this afternoon now I get 'not connected to internet', 'could not activate cellular data network' ..... email and safari are not working

Did you get the Yahoo login page but then it was blank after you logged in?
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
1. Clear Firefox's Cache
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"
2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here
While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

TS3899 after downloading iOS 6.0 cant get my yahoo email on my iPhone mail icon

I phone crashed during downloading iOS 6.0. After restoring phone , my yahoo email would not transfer over. Can access via safari but not directly in mail.

Hi Chris. Thanks, for the suggestions re: my email issues. They were helpful and yes I did check all items you referenced. I even contacted Apple support and spent about 40 minutes on phone checking all settings. However, after all these efforts, my mail and calendar issues were not resolved. Apple Support finally recommended deleting the mail account and then reloading it - and it worked! I am now receiving my emails and calendar appts. in real time again.
Just wanted to share this in case anyone elest has a similar problem with mail/calendar after downloaing i.O.S. 8.1 onto iPhone 5.

Sending Yahoo Email Issues

I have been experiencig intermittent issues with sending my Yahoo email. I will get the bar on bottom/ swoosh sound, so it looks like it was sent, but does not show up in Sent Mail, nor does recipient receive.
I also have Google account, but no issues.
I have tried the following to resolve:
• iphone reset
• iphone power cycle
• deleting/ re-adding email account
• changing push setting to off, then back on
Anyone having similar issues? Were you able to resolve?

I have the same problem: sometimes if my WiFi connection is weak, it takes longer to send an email... after waiting 30 seconds or so, I finally hear the swoosh sound, and the email looks like it has been sent. However, Yahoo Mail on the desktop doesn't show that the mail has been sent, and the recipient hasn't received it.
This has happened to me on many occasions. I bet I could reproduce it like this:
1. Establish an active WiFi connection and collect new mail.
2. Compose a new email message or reply.
3. Touch the Send button.
4. Immediately unplug the Airport base station (or its Ethernet connection) to interrupt the network.
5. Notice that it seems to take much longer than usual to send the email. Once you hear the swoosh, log in to Yahoo Mail account and look for the email in the Sent folder. Notice that it is not there.
I would assume the software should fail and retry using the Edge connection, but in my situation, this doesn't seem to happen, or if it does, it still fails.
It would be nice if someone from Apple could confirm this bug and let us know they're working on it.

Will i lose my yahoo email on my iphone if I change internet provider

I am planning to change internet providers on my macbook pro at home. I currently have verizon and my iphone email and my apple id is a yahoo email linked to the verizon account.
Will I be able to access my yahoo email with a new internet provider on my macbook pro and will it continue to sync with my iphone 5?

Yes you will be unable to use your email address after June 30, 2012, if you do not update your MobileMe account to an iCloud account.
You can upgrade your account and continue to use the email address in your mail application by entering the details manually. You will not however be able to use any other features of iCloud.

Yahoo Email Issues

I have two yahoo email accounts one works perfectly fine the other when I delete the messages, messages will delete but the box will reads as though they are not deleted it still shows that I have incoming messages is anyone else have this problem ? I have iso-7.0.2 I have gone through settings, general tab and deleted the account then added the account repeatedly and I'm still having the same issues. I thought this may be a bug in the new iso-update but my other three mail accounts are working perfectly and one of them is a yahoo account. Never had any problems with iso 6 and my email accounts.

Yahoo email folders on iphone.

I have many email folders with my yahoo email for archiving - I don't want them stored on my iphone. If I delete them from the iphone, they are also deleted from my yahoo email. Can I remove them from storing on my iphone without loosing them on my pc?

Your folders are not "stored" on your iPhone, they're stored on the server. But if you navigate to a folder then the server will push however many messages you've specified in settings (i.e. "Show xx Recent Messages"). If you don't want to populate your iPhone with the contents of these folders, don't open them. If you've already done that, delete and re-add the account to your iPhone.
If I misunderstood and what you really mean is that you don't want these folders accessible on the iPhone, you can't set up the account such that it doesn't give you access to all the folders. You could however set up a 2nd account where your primary account forwards its Inbox to a secondary (separate) Yahoo account on your iPhone. That way only your Inbox is on your iPhone.

5. Restart phone
6. Go to Settings

8. Click 'Add Account'
9. Click 'Other'
10. Click 'Add Mail Account'
11. Type in 'Name',
12. Type in 'Address'
13. Type in 'Password'
14. Click 'Next'

Email issues on iPhone and MacBook

Hi Y'all
I have a MacBook and an iPhone 3GS.
When I receive email while I'm out and I read it when I get home the email does not come through on the MacBook.
When I'm at home I get an email through the MacBook but it doesn't come through the iPhone.
Question...
If someone sends an email, how do I get it to appear on both my MacBook and my iPhone no matter which one I read it on first?
This is why...
Sometimes I need to print off my emails and I can't on the iPhone because my Epson printer is not an AirPrint printer. If i read it on my iPhone, then I have to forward it to myself again so I can receive it on my MacBook so I can print it out.
It would be great to be able to read my emails on my iPhone but know when I switch on my MacBook they are still all there waiting to be read again!!
Any help would be much appreciated...

I had a look as you directed.
The third thin down said something like you said - remove from server and it was ticked. However, the option listed under it was 'after one week'.
If I read an email straight away I get them both. For example, my iPhone 'pinged' to tell me I had an email - it was from you. I am working on the computer - I went into Mail it was there - no problem - that's what I want it like.
If I am at work and I read an email, when I get home and go into Mail it doesn't come through well before the one week is up.
Should I just de-select it altogether and see if that works?

I have just recently been into my yahoo on my iphone 4 and in my spam inbox there was a email from a company posing as "Nacha".It stated a transaction i recently had done has been cancelled.There was a link to click on.I do receive alot of spam emails some that i reconise and i am nieve and think spam emails like this wont come to me and i do alot of transactions online.I did click on the link! It took me to a blank white page on in top left hand corner did say the page cannot be found and there was no info asking me to put in any details i automatically deleted the email,I am now worried that because i have clicked on the link could my iphone now be compromised and if i even go onto my ebay app for example and put in my passwords could all my passwords and personal data now be leaked?? Im really worried as i do want to use my iphone for online transactions but dont know wether im safe now! I have rung my mobile provided and they said that its more than likely everything will be ok as i did click on the link but entered no details and it was a blank page but i have read on google that there can be fake blank pages and that scams can secretly collect data just by a click of a link!!!

I wouldn't worry. Assuming you haven't hacked the phone you cannot have installed any viruses or spyware just by clicking a link in an email. Sounds like the page you accessed could not be read on the phone anyway, or it was just a dead link.

Mail - if Yahoo emails sync to iPhone first, MacBook will not find or sync, even if unread

So up until a couple weeks ago, everything synced fine on my desktop Mail app and my iPhone Mail app. Then suddenly, they no longer understood each other. It used to be that if I read an email on iPhone, it would mark as read on the Mac Mail, and vice versa. Now, reading on one device still leaves it unread on the other. Even worse, it seems that if the iPhone syncs with the Yahoo servers when checking for mail and adds a new email to list before the Mac at home has had a chance to check the servers, the Mac won't see it when it goes to sync to Yahoo. Its as if the iPhone syncing to the mail now makes it absent from the new mail that the Mac should be adding to my inbox. What is going on? Why don't they stay in sync anymore? And why does the iPhone pick up emails, but then afterward the Mac doesn't see them at all as if they never came? Gmail and AOL accounts seem to be fine.

Email issues on iPhone 3GS after OS4 update

Hi,
I updated my firmware to OS4 yesterday, and my email has been on the blink since then.
Basically, whenever I check my email, I get stuck on the "Connecting..." display forever. The phone never checks my mailboxes, it's just eternally "Connecting..."
The only way I've gotten around this is by turning off the phone, then turning it back on. Once I do that, the phone collects the mail - but only ONCE. After that, it goes back on the endless "Connecting..." loop.
What's the problem? I never had this issue with the last firmware. Just as of yesterday. I have three email accounts on my iPhone - but like I said, the old firmware handled all of them without issue.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

I had two users that were unable to get email from Microsoft Exchange 2003 on their iPhone 3GS after upgrading to iOS 4. One other user, however, had no problems after the upgrade. The only difference was that the user with his email functioning had minimal messages in his Inbox.
So for the two other users, I archived email messages to reduce their Inboxes from around 13,000 messages to below 2,500 messages. Once I did this, email started flowing through just fine. I did this to the Sent Items as well, and it worked too. I would give that a try.

Comcast Email issues on iphone 4

Hello,
I have set up my iphone to have my comcast.net email on it. I have always been able to receive my emails but I can not set or reply to them. I have checked all my settings they appear to be set up correct. Does anyone know of a tip or something I am missing?
Any help to resolve this extremely frustrating issue would be wonderufl.
