Yahoo email not working on ios6

I have several email accounts on my 4S phone - gmail, exchange, and yahoo. Gmail and exchange work fine. Yahoo will not load any new messages and gives me a 'server connection error'. However, I can start a new email and send it from my yahoo email account. The phone just never loads new messages. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I've turned the phone on and off and also re-entered my mail password in settings.

My Yahoo email account has stopped working on my iPad. I have deleted the account and reinstalled it but still no joy. My email works fine on my Mac and iPhone ok.

Usually uninstalling and readding the info takes care of it.
It could just be a glitch with yahoo. Several people have short term issues with their yahoo mail not working.
are you trying to access it on the same wifi as usual? I had an issue where my yahoo will not work if i try to access it on various wifi hotspots and it has to do with the protocols on the access point.
I'd give it a few hours and see if it resolves itself.

Need help also, my yahoo mail also stop receiving email in my iPad So I delete it and then add again but it always says apple.imap.mail.com is not responding check your network connection and be sure you enter the correct information.i repeat it many times also on and off wifi but still not working.

Yahoo emails not working in iphone 5

Hi, I have just changed to Iphone 5 and I noticed that my yahoo emails are not working. I cannot save the yahoo password when I set up my yahoo email accounts in Iphone 5.
The error message says "Yahoo Server unvailable". Please try again later.
I tried to delete the yahoo account and add in again but still not working.
Please advise urgently.

It's not your phone... Yahoo is having issues right now with many of their users. I'm getting the same errors logging in from my PC.

Email not working w/ iOS6?

Updated to iOS6 but now I can't get email to work. I've restarted several times. It keeps telling me that the mail server 'imap.gmail.com' is not responding. I had this problem before but restarting would fix it (had to do about 6x a day), now it wont fix at all. Anyone else having problems? Any ideas for a fix since restarting wont do it? I've already checked, the email settings/passwords are correct.

I think what finally fixed mine was to go under the email account to the outgoing server info for which ever email has the issue. Add user name and password to outgoing server.
For me I use a gmail as my out going server but I have several different incoming servers for different email accounts.
So the outgoing user/password was my gmail login.

Yahoo email not working with 8.1.1

I upgraded to iOS 8.1.1 this morning on my iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2. Since then neither has been able to get any new mail from Yahoo. Is there a problem with this upgrade and Yahoo email? I've received lots of mail today, just not on my iPhone/iPad.
I've also got to say I've had more issues with my iPhone 6 and iOS 8 than I ever had with my iPhone 5 and the various versions of iOS it had. Probably the most annoying complaint is that I see 3G A LOT more than I did with my 5, and I'm in Verizon LTE coverage areas most of the time. For a bigger phone, it either has a smaller antenna - or a not very good one.

Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: pop.mail.yahoo.com (port 995 SSL)
Outgoing (SMTP) Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com (port 465 SSL)
Account Name/Login Name: Your Yahoo! Mail name in lowercase (your address without the "@yahoo.com"). ( in this case i put with @yahoo.com)

Yahoo email not working suddenly.

For the past 2 days, my Yahoo email account is not working. Up until then, I was able to receive my 2 Hotmail accounts and my Yahoo account without any problems. I tried deleting the Yahoo account, but now if I try to add it back in as Yahoo, it says that there is already an account with that name and won't let me. If I add it in as just a generic mail account, it thinks it's working, but it's really not. I'll receive a notification of new emails, but when I try to open the mail account, the Yahoo one is nowhere to be found. If I change it to show just the Yahoo, I get a blank screen. I also tried adding the Yahoo app from the market, but I really don't like that one as it takes more steps to get to the mail, and also to delete unwanted messages. I just want my mail back to the way it was!! Can anyone help me???

I use emails to communicate with everyone including friends, family and business associates, so I know how important resolving this issue is for you. I was able to review this issue within our system and found we have received reports of a latency issue with emails for this device. The email problem is currently under investigation so that we may find a resolution. If you continue not to receive your emails, you can select the "Sync Now" button on the web to refresh your inbox and view available emails. This will work until we locate a permanent resolution.
I also recommend checking the settings for your notifications, along with checking the settings for the storage space and ensuring the phone is updated with the latest software. I will list the steps below to check the storage on your phone and a link for info regarding the last software update. After checking all your settings, please power cycle the device.

My Yahoo email is not working on ipad and iphone.

I have two yahoo accounts and I randomly have them mess up on my computer, both at work and home. ANd it's all on Yahoo's end. It's supposed to delete and go to the next mail, but sometimes it randomly puts me back in the main mail list. Sometimes it won't delete at all, other times I can't access it....just exceedingly inconsistent.
IMHO, they're trying to bring so much into it to make it a communication hub, but it's just interfacing with too much and can't keep up.
The long and short, if your yahoo mail is malfunctioning, chances are it's on their end so users just have to wait it out or find work arounds....such as using the yahoo app or accessing the webmail via safari if the mail app isn't working.

What is Apple doing about Yahoo Email not working?

It's been 2 weeks. What is Apple doing about the clear fact that Yahoo email is not working? It's becoming unacceptable.
As a Blackberry convert, I was sold when Steve J said that Yahoo would "push" like a Blackberry for free. It does not work. I have an older yahoo account and it still does not send email from the iphone (trying the spam thingy doesn't even work with my yahoo). Incoming emails are intermittent.
Has anyone received information that attests to the fact that Apple is at least aware and addressing the problem?

Free. I have an older yahoo account (few years old) and it syncs imap just fine and I receive emails fine but not always at push speed. I also cannot send an email from my yahoo on my iphone. It looks like it sends it by the bar and the sounds but nothing in the sent box nor nothing received on the other end. I tried making a new yahoo id to try it and it worked for a while and now that one wont send either. The forums have multiple folks with the same issue. One resolution was sending an email from the yahoo web interface because it has you fill out a "captchca" spam thing and then seems to work again. On my yahoo id, I never even get the captchca. VERY FRUSTRATING. I want this to work but it doesn't. I've resorted to GMail only but it's not what's advertised and being used to the Blackberry this is a dealbreaker. I just want to know that Apple/Yahoo is aware of the issue and that it will be fixed.

Share contact via yahoo email not working

Hi, When I try to share a contact via email using my yahoo email account it always come through to whomever I send it to but it somes through jarbled up and unreadable. I can send/share the same contact or multiple contacts using my exchange email account or my gmail account and it send the contact with no troubles and it can be viewd by whoever get's it. But when trying to send it over yahoo email it just doesn't work.Has anyone else noticed this problem or know of any fix?
I have deleted the yahoo account, reset all network settings, force restart the iphone and readded the yahoo acount, nothing worked still exact same trouble.

Apparantly this is also happening when trying to share location via the Mapps application as it also attaches a .VCF file to the email. yahoo is not letting this pass intact. Same trouble but my exchange work account will send it and my gmail will send it also. This must be a yahoo issue. I don't know what else I can try.

Login to yahoo email not working

I can't login to yahoo email from my iPad. My iPhone and the computer work fine. After I type my username and password on the login screen, it acts like it is going to login but then it just goes back to the login screen. It doesn't give me any errors messages, it just doesn't login. It will, however, tell give me an error message if I type in the wrong password.

There is no cancel button available. The small window that pop ups has three fields- one comes up with xelsysadm and the two fields or text area for Password and confirm password. There is no cancel button and trying to cancel the window does not work. Just FYI, am logging into the host after 2 months or so. It was working fine earlier. Thanks for your suggestion, any other ideas please post.

IPhone 5 yahoo email not working

Today my email just stopped working. A pop-up appeared & said "Yahoo! server unavailable try again later". I did same result. I cheked to make sure I had the correct password...I did. I checked the internet connection...It's working. I deleted the account from settings & restarted my phone. I went back to setting & added the account again & it's still not working! Someone help me I'm going crazy!

iPhones purchased in the US are NOT guaranteed to work with 4G bands outside of North America.
For what crazy reason did you purchase an iPhone in the US if you live in Greece? If your phone needs servicing, it will have to be brought back to the US. You cannot get that phone serviced in Greece.

I am very interested in finding out how many others are having trouble with getting email from Yahoo. I have a free yahoo account and it was working find for the 1st two days, but it has never worked since then. I used the built in yahoo account to add the email account in my iphone.
AOL and GMAIl has no problem where was Yahoo doesn't work. I'm in the DC area and I know another person thas has the same exact problem.
Am I the only one or is there a fix?

tested by sending myself an email from another account. works fine for me. pushes to my iphone within seconds of sending.
