Yahoo email slow to receive, w/push mode

I use the newest iPad (WiFi/Cellular), which I bought a few months ago.
I use 3 email accounts; yahoo, gmail and my local ISP email account.  I live in 3G covered area and I use WiFi at home and 3G outside.  I have been experiencing my yahoo email account does not load unless I choose yahoo account.  I tap email icon, go to yahoo account, then shortly after that, a bunch of emails start loading up.  For example, I just opened yahoo account around 4:55PM (EST), and I had one email message, received at 4:43PM.  It is not instant.  Am I asking too much for this?  Currently the setup is Fetch new data as 'push' on.  This slow receiving happens at home (WiFi) and outside home as well. 
Incidentally exactly the same happens on my iPhone 4.  The same yahoo email receiving is slow.... It won't load until I go to the yahoo account. 
Any help/advise and suggestion to correct this issue would be appreciated.

    iMacs have been in continuous production since 1998 in four broad familes with literally hundreds of variants. Troubleshooting varies by family. To give you the proper troubleshooting techniques we need more info. At a minimum, please do "About this MAc" from your Apple menu (left end of menu bar) and report what that displays for "Mac OSX version" and Processor type..

  • Yahoo email problem?

    Hi - I have a Curve 8900 running v4.6.1.231
    I am on an Enterprise Data plan, with emails synched up to both my office outlook email, and my personal yahoo email.  At around 11:30 yesterday, my yahoo email stopped sending/receiving/synching with my BB, but my office outlook email is working fine.
    I tried to go into Email setup with the setup wizard, to see if maybe I had to delete and re-add my yahoo email account, but after about 60 seconds with a load message "connecting to email settings" I got a message that said "Your devide had a problem connecting to the server" with retry and cancel button - I retried with no avail.
    Not the most tech savvy person here, but was wondering if this is a problem on my end?  Or something on the BB side?  Any ideas on how to correct would be most appreciated!

    Hmmm...that's a choice you will have to make. Here's why...when you use the PC/Web interface to BIS, you must create credentials for your BIS account so that, when you log in via PC/Web, it can authenticate you to the proper BIS account. Credentials aren't needed via the device interface to BIS since you are connecting from the device. But, once you use the PC/Web interface and create credentials, you will also have to thereafter also use them on the BB itself. But, it should offer you a "remember me" checkbox so that you only have to enter those credentials on the BB the first time you use it after creating the credentials.
    Honestly, if you don't think you'll ever again want to connect to your BIS account via PC/Web, then you are probably just as well now calling your carrier. They can just as well send the Service Books (once you get through their call queue, of course!).

  • Cannot read yahoo email except while replying

    Yahoo email that is received on my GS3 shows up as blank until I 'reply' to it. at that point I can read the original message. I do not use Yahoo as my email account, this is just when I receive a yahoo email. Typically this is on listserves. Any way to read the email without having to 'reply?'

    It's a good thing you've found a way to read your email, but I can definitely see how that could get pretty annoying to open and hit reply to every email just to see what is there. Julating status...bjohn2 had a great suggestion to change the text color. If that doesn't work, Yahoo has a mail application they've created through Google Play specifically to give a better mobile experience for Yahoo email. Just access Google Play and search "Yahoo Mail" to search for and install the Yahoo application. ^JH

  • I'm receiving Yahoo emails with an unusual delay

    During the last few months I've been receiving my emails from Yahoo with a 15-30 minutes delay. Something extremely unusual as they previously seemed to be sent almost instantaneously to my phone. I also have a Gmail account configured in my phone and I receive those emails as they should, almost instantaneously.
    The Yahoo domain I use is yahoo.es, my device is a Bold 9780 and my Carrier is Movistar Chile (also known as Telefonica Chile).

    The actual "normal" delay to expect is around 15 minutes. For those email services that have true PUSH and where BIS can work with that, it can be faster. But, an expectation of around 15 minutes is quite normal. Refer:

    However, there also is this:
    KB12373 BlackBerry Internet Service real-time delivery of email messages from AOL, Gmail and Yahoo! Mail accounts
    Coupled with the fact that it used to be quicker for you, then you should probably do these steps.
    With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
    KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
    Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
    2) Delete and Resend Service Books
    KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
    If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
    KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Reboot
    With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
    See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
    Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your configurations for the affected email accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.

Have done the dual off/on thing using top button and menu button.   Issue seems to be only with main inbox, as sub folders are receiving mail. Other Apple device is not having issues like this, just on iPhone.

    Your issue is with the Yahoo email account which is notoriously bad.
    you can try deleting and reinstalling the email account.
    If that doesn't fix it try the yahoo email app.

    You can send over WiFi, but it sounds as if you need to setup your Gmail account, or did you do this already?

  • How to get yahoo email to push in iPhone 4

    For the past 3 weeks my yahoo email is not pushing on my iphone 4. I have tried soft reset and even deleted
    my Yahoo account from my phone and set up again.  All this to no avail.  Prior to this period Yahoo would fail to push every now and then,  A soft reset was successful.
    I do have a second email account on this phone which fetches mail.  Settings on the iphone:  Push is "ON" and Fetch is set for "Manually".  Yahoo and this second account were initially set up at the same time over a year ago. 
    Where can I go from here.

    I am having the same issue.  It worked for me initially. Now it hasn't been pushing my emails for 3 days now.  I reset the e-mail and everything.  Apperently I read that Yahoo is aware of the situation. Please let me know if anyone else has heard about this or is experiencing the same issue.

    Yahoo email push worked perfectly before the 1.1.1 update.
    Before 1.1.1 every few minutes?
    If my real Yahoo got email .. Iphone beeped to show me.
    Is 1.1.1 the problem or am I now just plum out of luck? Can I get a refund? That push feature was one of the phone's best features. Weather also doesn't even update. I now have to manually update email and weather.
    I can't say that update did it but all worked great long long ago .. in a point release (1.0.2) far far away.
    Yahoo push is/was WAY koool

    Weather has always required a manual update.

    My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. The following procedure, pieced together from two websites, fixed the problem for us. So far, so good.
