Yahoo emails randomly disappearing in iPad

I have a problem with Yahoo emails randomly disappearing when I use my iPad. I found an old discussion regarding this issue here, but don't seem to find a fix or any recent update: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1059223?start=0&tstart=0
Basically, I started noticing about a month ago that I couldn't find anymore certain emails I had filed in folders. At first I thought it was a fluke, but now it has happened 4-5 times (that I know of). I am 100% positive that I did not delete the emails by accident. As far as I can remember, I am pretty sure that all of the mails that are missing are ones that I filed into folders using the iPad (but not all emails filed into folders from the iPad are missing, only random ones). Who knows how many other mails are missing that I didn't know of or how long this has been going on.
For the moment, I guess I will stop filing mail using the iPad (only read mail on iPad, and then file later when I am at my PC). But does anyone else experienced this and have any suggestions?

Very new Mac user. Just last month acquired my MacBook Air and a 4S phone. Because I'm a newby, I thought it was my lack of familiarity with Mac that was leading to the randomly disappearing messages on my phone and PC.
My experience is like others. Messages are in various folders. Messages are then dissappearing, sometime right before my eyes as I click on a folder with the phone. I am not sure if I moved them to the folders on the phone or the PC, but I will try in future to just do it on the PC. What has disappeared is not travel documents, but rather various misc. messages. And yes, I am a RogersYahoo user.
My old Dell PC has ironically helped me out a bit. A while ago I used Outlook to access my Rogers Yahoo and it retrieved a number of messages. All were stored safely on the Dell. When I started losing them on the Mac system, at least I had the Dell to back me up.
If anybody hears more from Apple or Rogers, I too would be very interested in the results. E-mail access on the go was great until this problem arose.

My Yahoo emails keep disappearing on my iMac. I see them one second then POOF! there gone. Sometimes I'll see the number count of unread emails but no emails are displayed (See below). I see them on iPhone and iPad no with no problems. I do use Spamarrest as a go between to help filter out spam that YAHOO SPAM FILTERS IS SUPPOSED TO DO, but I dont think thats the problem since my iPhone & iPad are working fine. I think it is with the iMac but not sure what else to do. I have deleted the account and created a new one, sycronized, took it offline and then back again only to see that the problem is there again. Have the same problem. Have seen quite a few of my yahoo mails disappear & not reappear. Am unable to see them even in my yahoomail inbox or in the sent mail folders. Am worried if my mail account is hacked. Further, there are sounds that I keep hearing every now & then which seems like someone in the background is snooping in & checking items on my Mac.

You should be able to add a second account via Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account - I've got two Yahoo based accounts set up on my iPad.

How do I delete (or sign out) of a Yahoo email account on my iPad 4? It's always shows up whenever the iPad is turned on, by anybody (not good).

I found the answer myself. Go to Settings, Mail-Contacts-Calendar, Yahoo, Delete Account, then save.
Pretty simple, when you know how, which describes life itself.

I can't access my yahoo email today on my iPad

Had iPad 13 months using daily to retrieve my yahoo email, and today it asks me for a password??. I go to my settings I erase and re-enter password, but nothing changes. I go back to my settings and notice that my yahoo 6 character password now is a 9 character password!! I delete and reenter, and this has gone on for over an hour. My yahoo account and password in just fine on my laptop???

In my yahoo email, attachments disappear, and i can only open the inbox, not delete or move anything- help!

for the past week, my yahoo email will not work in mozilla, my regular browser of choice. the entire list of folders on the left column will not open, the menu options on the top will not open, the setting wheel included. the yahoo account now works fine on my cell, and on any other computer, and now also fine in in IE, after i clicked "compatibility view."
is there a comparable quick fix in mozilla??

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

Emails randomly disappearing?

Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem. My emails on my iPhone and iPad keep vanishing without warning. Have changed settings to 'never delete' but hasn't helped.

Try Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

I Have the same issue, what time was your last update? My last update was Thursday March 5, ...well mine is now working. Like you I deleted my account and added it and at first it was not working....but now it's working. Hopefully everyone's is working now.

You should see the attachment as an icon in the mail. Tap on it to download. you can also hold your finger down on it and see what options it offers you.
What kind of attachment is it? If it's some sort of document then the viewer in the ipad should allow you to view it. Other kinds of attachments may not be able to be opened. All depends on what it is.

Yahoo email disappeared

My yahoo email accounts disappeared yesterday. I tried to reinstall it, but the phone won't give me that option.

I'm sorry the email accounts got removed, michelep77546! Lets take a look at this. What options do you have under Settings > Accounts & Sync > Add Account? You can add the accounts under the "Other" option. There is also the alternative to download the Yahoo! email application they provide. Keep me posted!

Yes - same issue. I am able to work my yahoo email fine on my iPad, but just bought the iPhone 4s today and cannot set it up for the same reason you state.
I walked through the advanced sections of both iPad and iPhone and they are set up the same, so I have no idea why this is not working.

How do you stop Notes on an iPhone 4S disappearing and ending up in your Yahoo email account Notes?

I have been doubting my sanity! Items held in Notes seem to disappear at random. I have established from the ASC that missing Notes are sometimes moved to the Notes folder of your Yahoo email account and much to my relief I have found them there. Is it possible to stop this happening? If so how do you do it? I cannot see anything in Settings/Notes and when I turn off Notes in Settings/Mail all my Notes disappear!

MobileMe works fine for me but you don't need a MobileMe account. You need an IMAP account.
Although a POP account can be accessed with more than one email client, a POP account is designed to be accessed with a single email client only. You can't store Sent messages on the server, keep mailboxes synchronized between multiple email clients used to access the account, more than one email client cannot access the incoming mail server for a POP account at the same time or near the same time because the incoming mail server will lock the account's inbox mailbox preventing access for a period of time.
None of this is an issue or problem with an IMAP account which is designed to be accessed with multiple email clients. I keep the Mail.app on my Mac launched and running checking my MM account which has a junk mail filter. Any received message that is automatically marked as junk and is moved to the account's Junk mailbox stored on the server is reflected automatically when checking the account with the iPhone's Mail client since all server stored mailboxes for the account are kept synchronized, which isn't possible with a POP account.

How do I go back a page on the Ipad mini? I do not see any arrows anywhere. Also when I go to my yahoo email account and open an email I can not find how to go back and log out. This is our first Ipad and it is very different frm android. Thanks

In Safari, (the web browser), there are specific arrows to go back and forward through website pages.
In other Apps, it will depend on how the App is built.
As to Yahoo Mai it depends on where you are viewing the email. If you are using the Mail App, then you don't log out. The Mail accounts in the Mail App are always there.
If you are using the Yahoo App, You can Tap on the folder at the top, then on your account/name, and then on Sign Out.
