Yahoo Finance Portfolios - add/remove page and update data very slow to load

The Add/Remove symbols page only partially loads then stops dead. Can take a minute or more to complete loading. And when I try to update quantities or price I get a whirling color gif which only sometimes reaches the point of letting me load data. Firefox, no problem.

My iPod touch 4th gen 32gb verson 4.3.1 is downloading and updating apps very slow more than an hour. I just got it a day ago and I backed up all my apps music and pictures and videos from iTunes. Few months ago I had an iPod touch but I lost it and it was working fine. Luckily before I lost it i backed up everything to iTunes so now everything that was in my old iPod is now in my new iPod. Anyways, When I first bought it I straight away backed up everything and saw that i had many updates on my apps. I started updating it all at once but even the first one was not loading at all and mty ipod was hanging many times during the updates so i cancelled all the updates. i even tried it on my computer and it was taking forever but my laptop does updating and downloading apps slower than my ipod so that doesnt matter. Even when I download an app on my iPod now its take more that an hour. So i was wondering, is my iPod slow cause I backed up too many things when i just got it . I have about 120 apps 150 plus photos and 70 videos and I backed it up all in one night on the day i got my ipod. So now I'm restoring my iPod and updating it to IOS 5 and see what happens. Hopefully it will be faster then but I still need to know what is main problem of m iPod hanging and slow updating/downloading. Need a reply ASAP. Thanks

Still you can switch it off while syncing.
You can also do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears)

One possible solution would be to organise your inbox into folders.
Its never relly good on any system to have one folder that has everything in it.
Try going to you web gui for that mail account and organise your folders and move mails from your inbox into corresponding folders for better organisation.
Several folders containing the same amount of one folder will usually load a little quicker as the folder may not be accessed to download its content unless veiwed.
So having 10 folders with organised content, and you inbox as an area thats to hold only new emails would work much much quicker with imap.
Most imap servers will only update the contents of a folder when its veiwed.

I am using Thunderbird 24.4.0 and it is very slow in loading emails and deleting emails. Did not have this problem till recently. Running Windows 7

With in the last 3 days my emails have been very slow to open and it takes about 20 secs. to delete an email.
At times I see the message that Thunderbird is not responding. I am using Windows 7 and Bitdefender AV.
I closed the firewall on the AV and this did not change anything. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Disable Bitdefender's option to scan mail folders and see if the performance improves.

Homeshare to Ipad and Iphone is very slow to load library

First time poster, long time listener... I'm totally pro mac, from which I made the switch about 2 years ago from android and windows to everything mac and iPad/ iphone etc... One problem that I have been having is when on any of my IOS devices (2 iPhones, 1 iPad 2, and 1 iPad mini) I can't seem to load my videos or music (in apple's music or video app) when "shared" from my Mac Pro. So when am in my Video app, then Shared to my Mac Pro (Pro) I can see my library just fine, but when I click on it I get a spinning wheel - spinning and spinning and spinning, well it goes on for ever and sometimes, very rarely, it will load after 10 to 15 minutes. Long story short, mac pro wired to link sys wireless router (acting as just a hub / wireless extended network) then wired to my apple extreme 3tb router. All have been set to default router is 10.0.1.1 (apple extreme router).....
The strangest thing, is remote app and airplay from and IOS device works to every apple tv I have (4 - bedroom, tv room, billiard room, and bar room apple tvs). Apple tv all see the mac pro, and the mac pro's all see the apple tv inside iTunes. (airplay works out standing!)
When I use any IOS device (any) and homeshare to my mac book pro, which doesn't have any videos or music, it loads right away but there is nothing to load.
p.s. my mac pro library of iTunes has over 20000 songs and over 100 home video and over 100 videos from a ripped dvd collections....
Need help please asap... Almost ready to give up but i have faith.....
So how and why doesn't my videos or music load properly through homeshareing on any iOS device but everything else works flawlessly.....

Safari very slow to load pages

Someone who help me with my Safari. Always that I want to go to a new page my Safari is very slow to load that page. It's loading the page for a long time without opening. I have done everything to fix it, but nothing has worked.
I have a Macbook Pro late 2011 with Yosemite 10.10.2 and my Safari is 8.0.3 version.
Here is a capture of what happens

Please answer as many of the following questions as you can. You may already have answered some of them. In that case, there's no need to repeat the answers.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Have you restarted your router and your broadband device (if they're separate) since you first noticed the problem? If not, do that now and see whether there's any change.
If your browser is Safari, then from the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. If the Downloads button (with the icon of a downward-pointing arrow) is showing in the toolbar, click it and then click Clear in the box that appears. The download history will be removed. Any change?
If you're running OS X 10.9 or later, select the Advanced tab in the Preferences window and uncheck the box marked
Stop plug-ins to save power
Any change?
Quit and relaunch the browser. Any change?
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”

Open the iCloud preference pane and uncheck the boxes marked Safari and Photos, if they're checked. Any change?
Are there any other devices on the same network that can browse the Web, and are they affected?
If you can test Safari on another network, is it the same there?
If you connect to your router with Wi-Fi and you can also connect with Ethernet, do that and turn off Wi-Fi. Any difference?

Why does Firefox have problems printing Yahoo finance portfolio pages?

Current versions (34.0) of Firefox on Windows and Mac both have printing problems when printing from the Yahoo Finance portfolio website. I don't have problems when printing from IE, Safari, or Opera. Firefox prints a header on page 1 then pages 2 and 3 on top of each other. It doesn't include every stock that I had in my portfolio either. The portfolio page has an interesting feature where it keeps the header of the page at the top and scrolls the rest of the page under it. This probably is what is messing up FF's printing but the other browser vendors don't have a problem. I'm working this problem for my father-in-law who's running Windows 7 while I'm on a Mac running Yosemite. I can duplicate the problem on Windows 7, XP, and OSX all running the latest version of FF. To test, I created a portfolio with a bunch of random stocks then tries printing. I got perfect output on every browser except FF.
Sorry, I'm not installing any other Firefox software. This problem is on the platforms I mentioned. I can submit a pdf of sample output, both good and bad, if you like.

More info. I have AdBlock running and thought that might have been the reason I could print from Safari but installing AdBlock on Firefox gave me the same results. Yahoo has a bunch of ads under the header and some use Flash. Having them there doesn't affect printing on other web browsers. I created a pdf file then opened it in a drawing problem and noticed a huge blank block in the middle of page one. This is what is pushing the stock data down to page 2. It shouldn't be there so FF is interpreting the ad area with the scrolling as a large block instead of ignoring it. I added three images. The first shows a correct page 1 (Safari), while the next two show how FF prints it.

First upload the file into an internal table. If you are using a file that is on application server. Use open dataset and close dataset.
Then :
Loop at it.

As others point out, Acrobat is essential though a bit expensive. There are some very economical (i.e. free) tools that are extremely helpful in properly tagging a PDF.

I`m very new to dreamweaver and have no coding skills, so
please be gentle.
I`m have created a mail box and it all works fine, the
problem i`m having is that I want to be able to tag wether a
message has been read or not.
So the subject has to be a link so when someone clicks the
subject you are redirected to the read message page and it displays
the message in full.
My question is there a way to go to detail page and update
record at the same time?
I`m using ASP and the mysql read or not field is a SET

You can use the Update Record ZerverBehavrior and then have
it redirect to
the detailpage.

I have gone to Control Panel to ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS and clicked REMOVE Mozilla Firefox 3.6.13 but the program will not remove.

The Mozilla Firefox 3.6.13 version is refusing to be removed from my laptop even after l have opened the CONTROL PANEL and clicked on ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS and then clicked on REMOVE the hightlighted firefox program.
I have just installed the Mozilla Firefox 4.0 and when l try to uninstall or remove this one the same way as l do for Firefox 3.6.13, l have no problem with removing Firefox 4.0.

Are you sure you still have Firefox 3.6, by default Firefox 4 will replace previous versions of Firefox. Some time the add/remove programs option in the control panel will list programs that no longer exist.

SI since upgrading to ios8, Safari pages are very slow to load, Kindle crashes upon opening, and I can no longer read saved artices from my reading list when offline. Big disappointment. Is it possible to downgrade to previous ios?

I actually managed to fix it! But unfortunately I don't know what I was that I did that helped.
Anyways, this is kind of what I did.
1. I tried to reset form bakup via iTunes, no change.
2. I tried to reset as a new iPhone, problem still there and reading list also as bookmarks!? (several hundred)
3. Noticed that I could delete a bookmark, once in a while, the other times I got the 'Bookmarks are being synced. Please edit the bookmarks once syncing has completed.' message.
4. Because I figured that it was a memory problem, I thought it made sense to delete as many as possible, witch I did.
5. Noticed that it was more likely that I coould delete a bookmark if I restarted Safari.
6. Notice that it was even more likely that I could delete a bookmark if I turned the Safari sync with iCould off (with option detete information on iPhone) and then back on again.
7. When I was about half way through deleting the bookmark list I suddenly discovered that all but one of the items in my reading list was 'waiting' and one was downloading. I kind of was 'unstuck' now.
8. I started to delete items in my reading list, but every other time I got the 'Bookmarks are being synced. Please edit the bookmarks once syncing has completed.' message.
9. It took a while to delete all bookmarks and items in the reading list.
Hope you guys could use the info here to fix your problems too!
