Yahoo Games - sometimes I can get in, sometimes I can't
Too often - maybe 1/3 of the time, when I try to get into Yahoo games using Safari 3.2.1. I get an error message reading: "Unable to connect to server. One of four things could have caused this: 1) You are behind a firewall. 2) You are not connected to the Internet. 3) The games server is down. 4) You have a stale page in your cache."
I enable or disable pop-ups, makes no difference. I empty the cache, makes no difference. I switch to Fire fox and get right in. Next time I try it with Safari it either works or it doesn't. It's intermittent. But Firefox always gets me in without problems.
Any ideas what the Safari problem might be?
Yahoo is working on the site and there have been problems getting into Games. Other current problems are: not being able to leave Comments on News articles; not being able to review moview; many email problems. You can't fix it (in most cases). You have to wait until Yahoo finishes their yearly upgrades and maintenance.

I turn it off and it will wait anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours and turn itself back on. You can see how that can get annoying and I can't seem to solve the problem.

My hard drive died last week, and I needed to install a new one. Previously, I was able to save a .doc with text and inserted photo to .pdf and then to .jpg. Now I can get the .pdf but can't determine what to do to convert to .jpg. Does anyone know ?
Rather than do that, which means starting over from scratch, losing all your edits, organisation and so on, why not simply use iPhoto Library Manager to revert the Library to the older version? Easier, less destructive.

If you really want to start over: you can access the Originals folder simply by going to your Pictures Folder and finding the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed. -
iTunes tells me, that I need to load version 11.1 in order to load a backup into my iPhone 5. I'm working with a windows PC and want to update my phone to iOS 7GM. version 11.0.5 is the highest I can get for windows. Can somebody help me?
I'm assuming you followed a forum like Gizmodo to load the latest version of iOS 7 Beta on your device
Alot of those forums forget to mention, iTunes 11.0.5 will allow you to update to the iOS 7 Beta but your device will no longer work unless you have the developer version of iTunes as well....
I'd suggest you to research how to downgrade back to 6.1.3/4 and wait a few days for the iOS to be released, -
Whole block can get infinity and I can't...
I have just signed up to BT standard broadband and am hoping to possibly upgrade to fibre in the near future. I have tried calling BT however they say I can’t get fibre due to them entering in the phone number and saying it is unavailable.
When I check the availability of fibre using my address it says it is available to me, however when I enter my phone number it says it isn’t.
All my neighbours can get infinity and I can’t, please don’t say it is down to routing as I can’t be the only flat in a nine story building that can’t get it.
They are all connected to the same cabinet and exchange as me. Front door is less than 2 metres away from mine. Please see just one example below.
Can someone please help.

You're going to have to restore your iPad on your computer via iTunes. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes on your computer (11.1) click help and check for downloads. Then connect your iPad to your computer via USB and follow the directions in the link I have provided:

I keep getting "The connection to the server has failed" when I call up my mail although I do get internet connection. Can anyone help please.
1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again
2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings -
I can log into Yahoo Home page and it recognizes me. I go to my mail section and often end up with a message that says FFx can't find the URL. This only started after the move to 4.1 and then the rush to 5.0.

There are folks that send me emails all the time. Sometimes they come in and most times they don't They are always telling me that they sent me an email and I have not received it. When I tell them to send it NOW as I am sitting at the computer, then the email comes in for the first time. This has been happening since I downloaded Thunderbird. Please tell me why this happens as it if a bit frustrating, especially when they don't know I have not received their email and the information is very important that I get the email and the information they are sending me.

barbi saundersThunderbird downloads email messages that make it into your Inbox on your providers server. Are these missing messages actually in the Inbox and are not downloaded or do they not make it to the Inbox on the server.
If the later, ask your provider where your mail is going.
It might not hurt to log into your account on the server and check for a spam folder. You might be surprised to see what is in there. -

My ipod has been working perfectly for years and all of a sudden i have gone through three sets of headphones at least in the last month, i have discovered that it is a problem with where the headphones go......no idea what the name of it is so can anybody please help me dont really want to get a new ipod as this is perfect bar this one thing....thanksTry to play it on a iPod Docking station, if it is okay, then you need to clean the iPod earphone jack hole, with paper clip, entwined with wool soaked in a small amount of alcohol.
Or just blow a jet of compressed air into the hole, if you got those camera kit with a rubber air pump.
If it is still one sided, on the iPod dock, then, does the same song, play normally on the iTunes?
