Yahoo games to play on my Mountain Lion

how do I get Yahoo games to play on my Mountain Lion? Keep getting error that says my security settings has bloced an untrusted appliction from running. Any help would be greatly apreciated. By the way, I have already enabled Apps to be downloaded from Anywhere, (even thoug this is only as web based application. am not downloading it at all) Also, my seurity prefs in Safari are set to not block pop up windows.

Try control - clicking on it to see if you get an Open option.

When I opened Yahoo Messenger for the first time, it asked to use my Contacts. I said no. It took about 3 minutes to finally connect to the internet and none of the names I typed appeared in the list, just their Yahoo IDs. I then went into Security and Privacy (System Prefs) and allowed it access to my contacts and the next time I logged in, the friends list looked exactly like it should. It didn't reduce the login time, however. It still takes about 3 minutes.

Air play lag on Mountain Lion (Mid2011 iMac)

Airplay was one of the features I looked forward to the most w/ the release of ML.
Unfortunatly it give me loads of lag when trying to view videos (especially with VLC),
Do you guys have the same experience and do you have any tips to get this feature working properly?
Upgrade the memory, apply other settings or maybe something else?
ML is running on a MID 2011 iMac w/ 4GB memory and streaming to a 3rd gen Apple TV

I've not seen many reports on 'proper' Airplay mirroring to AppleTVs, but have always suspected that even if it does rely on Intel hardware h264 encoding that other Macs pre 2011 won't have, it may still be at the mercy of other factors - slow network connections between computer and AppleTV being the most likely one.
When you stream media held in iTunes it will buffer a certain amount until it feels it can play acceptably well, for a live 'stream' such as Airplay this could be even more apparent as you will be looking for lag from the live view.
I assume your devices are connected via wifi - do you have any feel for the connection speeds?
(Look in Apple > About this Mac >More Info >System Report under networking to see wifi connection speed).
How many bars of wifi signal on AppleTV?
This may be something other than the network but that would be my main concern with AppleTV streaming issues.
Unfortunately I do not have a recent Mac to test Airplay.
I wonder also if you could confirm that trying to play DVD content via DVD player results in gery/white checkerboard on your TV via Airplay - I think DVD output over Airplay is locked down.

Air play issues on Mountain Lion

I have just updated my mid 2011 iMac and the airplay for movies is unusable. It jitters and skips on the TV while running fine on the mac. Will this be fixed on future updates? Its why I upgraded.
Any ideas how to fix this?

I dont know. I have great itunes to apple tv but that is cacheing. How can I tell what speeds I have. The movie is about 2.5 gig. Does that matter? can I reduce the file size?
What is the minimum set up to get good results? my ipad to tv is awesome.

Yahoo Accounts in Mountain Lion

Has anyone had an issue setting up a Yahoo Account in system preferences in Mountain Lion? It constantly rejects the password even though I can login fine on their website. I'm not sure if its anything to do with the domain name being @yahoo.co.uk rather than @yahoo.com. When I leave off the domain it always adds @yahoo.com to the end of it. If I put @yahoo.co.uk it still rejects it.

I have solved it. Thank you for pointing me towards that thread. Unfortunately I had already tried this. The result was that mail recovered only one message from that mailbox. Perhaps it's because I selected only one of the messages in time machine?
To anybody else who needs to recover lost accounts and mail in Mountain Lion, this is what I did to get mine back:
Quit Mail
Enable view library by default by pasting this into terminal: chflags nohidden ~/Library/
Navigate to Users/your-user-name/Library/Mail/
Open time machine and go back to the date your mail was working like it should be
Select V2 from the mail folder then click Restore
When asked "do you want to replace" you should go ahead and replace.
Start Mail - You will be greeted with a Welcome to Mail dialogue
Follow the prompts to start importing your missing mailboxes and settings
Optional - Rebuild your database to catch up with any missing mail by selecting your mailboxes then choosing Rebuild from the Mailbox menu
This fixed it for me - Good luck...

Only button that looks like anything for firefox allows me to restore, move, size, minimize, maximize, and close. That button is top left hand corner location.

I recently purchased a second hand new macbook air, although it was second hand to me the previous owner had never actually turned it on.
Something doesn't make sense here, though I'm not saying the previous owner is lying....

Will KisMac run on Mountain Lion?

I have heard that KisMac does not play well with Mountain Lion. Has anyone had experience with this combination?

Ask and you shall receive, a beta for Kismac 0.3.4 was released last month. Works pretty good on 10.8.2 (2012 15" mbp) went into passive mode as well. Depending on what chipset you have with your airport extreme card though can have different bugs. Mine cant inject packets, I'm going to test out my usb dongle to see if there is better driver support. Other wise worked like a charm.

If you buy an iOS app, it is yours for all your iOS devices. However, some apps are specific for the iPad while others are specific for the iPod Touch or iPhone.
Mac OS X apps are totally separate and must be purchased separately.

I need help getting minecraft demo to play on Mountain Lion.

I have tried many many times to get the demo for minecraft to play on my computer and keep getting the same error report. I switched over to windows and it worked just fine there so I'm pretty sure the problem is Mountain Lion and not the whole computer. I've been looking all over the place for a solution and keep seeing that I need to go to system preferences and security and privacy and go tell it to open stuff from anywhere, and I've tried that, three times, and it still won't work. So now I'm going to post the crash report here and see if anyone can give me a different solution because that one, which seems to work for absolutely everyone else, does diddly-squat for me. I believe you will have to "convert" the movie to H264 or something like that. A free program such as HandBrake will do this job. Or you can let iTunes convert it for you. However, you should be warned that iTunes takes a LONG time to convert a movie. A fast convert will probably take all night and then some. I would go with HandBrake

Zoo Tycoon game for OS X Mountain Lion?

I have bought a new game for Mac, it's called "Zoo Tycoon". It requests Mac OS X 10.1 or newer systems. In my MacBook Pro, I have the Mountain Lion (10.8.3). Once I downloaded the program from the CD and I try to open it, it tells me that is not possible to open because "PowerPC games are not anymore supported". How can I overcome this? Any ides?

I have contacted Big Fish games and tried all the suggestion still to no avail.....

If you "recently purchased Mavericks" without upgraded your hardware (MBP), then your MBP is still capable of running whichever flavor of OS X that you previously were able to run these 40% of Big Fish games.
In that case, partition your hard drive or add an external drive and install that flavor of OS X (Snow Leopard or Lion) there and "dual-boot" your MBP into the alternative OS X when you want to play those games using Startup Manager in the System Preferences before Restart.
