Yahoo has become my default search engine. It used to be google; I want google back as my default search engine. Can you help?

Google used to be the default search engine in my FireFox setup. Now it's Yahoo. I would like to change it back to google. Can you tell me how to revert it back to google? If so, thanks.

If anyone is having this issue, I had to change more than just the keyword.url.
Here are the steps I took:
Open Firefox and type about:config
Then I changed:
browser.search.defaultenginename to google
browser.search.defaulturl to www.google.com
keyword.url right click {reset} or set = http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=
Then I restarted Firefox.
Consider this another complaint against Yahoo's unclear messaging. I do use Yahoo for some things and I thought perhaps they were going to improve interoperability between services, I guess Microsoft is rubbing off on them.
Mozilla - If my elderly parents encountered this problem, they would not be able to solve it without assistance. Please consider adding this to tools -> options. I love them, but I don't need the exercise in patience

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

It's very likely that the phone is permanently damaged - water corrodes the very fine copper strips which form the circuitry very quickly - but only a service engineer can tell you what its condition is and whether it can be restored to health. If possible take it to an Apple Store (make an appointment) for a free assessment. Don't be surprised if you are told you will have to replace it.

Firefox cannot get to the web because the MS update conflicts with my default browser FF. I tried a system restore point before the explorer 9 update, but it didn't clear the MS update troubleshooter with the FF logo and I can not get to my browser directly.

I can't help you with that software in particular but I suggest you to try Xpadder, I also have the microsoft xbox 360 gamepad and it works as far as I know

I have a fairly unique application that I need to find a new database for. It currently uses an embedded database but we now want to go client server with it.
Background:
The application downloads a large amount of data, millions of records, from a database that runs on an IBM iSeries system. The purpose of the application is to allow the main database to be used at remote locations when a connection to the iSeries is not possible. At a later time the app uploads changed records. We want to go client-server so that the download only has to go to one PC and then other PC's can share the database across a network that our clients will set up at the remote location.
The trick is in the download performance. When we download from the iSeries we get a binary file that we can read records out of using Java's IO funcationality, one record at a time. We want to avoid having to do a SQL INSERT statement for each of the millions of records we need to place into the database because this tends to be slow. Ideally I'd like to be able to use Java IO to write the database files.
Do any of you know of a client-server database that allows this to happen?

One special client-server database is HXTT Text(http://www.hxtt.com/text.html), which can use directly your binary file as database. If you needn't to merge daily millions of records into the same table, you can try it with its support from http://www.hxtt.com/support.jsp?product=text .

How did you save your Timeline content which included the narration clip produced with the project's Narration Tool?
Publish+Share/Computer/ and then what? And, what preset? And, for that preset, did you use the default settings of the preset
or did you customize the preset under its Advanced Button/Video Tab and Audio Tab?
What other audio was in the project - any on Audio 1 or Soundtrack? Did you get involved with Smart Mix at all?

Sounds like you actually paying for cellular service and you really need to be on wifi to backup your ipad/iphone.
Normally you have to be connected to wifi and you can do manual backup by going to Settings- icloud- storage and backup and pressing backup now button. Start with your ipad, usually size of the backup smaller and return here if you encounter a problem.

You (or your kids) inadvertently installed adware. You do not need to download or install anything to fix it.

Hi Blueandpink,
If you are running iOS 4, you will need to update the iPad via iTunes on your computer (can't do OTA updates unless you have iOS 5 or higher).
If you have a first generation iPad, unfortunately you won't be able to update to iOS 6 (iOS 5 is the highest you can update to on the original iPad).
If you are on an iPad 2, 3, or 4th generation with iOS 5 and it still isn't working, try holding down on both the Sleep AND Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds (ignore the red slider button). Keep holding it until the Apple Logo appears. When you see the Apple logo on the black screen, let go of the buttons. This “reset” fixes a lot of iPad issues and might work to resolve the update issue. Try updating again.

Sorry, there is nothing you can do until the device is removed from the sellers Apple ID.

The reps at that time deflected the easiest course of action, by trying to get you to replace the phone under insurance instead of returning the phone. The Early Edge payment option requires the current phone on the line using the early Edge must be returned to Verizon Wireless. Did you once considered going to a third party site like Swappa to purchase a gently used device for your daughter?
