Hi,
Please try a '''Ctrl + F5''' refresh of the page. You can also try to '''Clear Now''' the '''Cache, Cookies''', and '''Site Preferences''' in '''Tools''' ('''Alt''' + '''T''') > [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Clear%20Recent%20History Clear Recent History].

  • On yahoo home page, why does the mail icon not work since they updated?

None of the stuff located on the left side of page work. To get to yahoo mail, I have to type "mail" in the search box to get the link. The home page of yahoo is just totally messed up now. I am running Firefox 33.1.1 on Linux Mint 9 if that means anything.

Hi You may need to, take ipad to Apple & Store, is it under a year old? Make an Appointment. Cheers Brian

  • When I click to customize firefox (themes and such), the page won't completely load. I only get the words no thumbtabs. And when I click on the words, it does

on the drop down menu for firefox(in my bookmarks) I used to be able to customize firefox to change my themes. Now when I click on it, it only loads words, no pictures or thumb tabs to hover over or anything. When I click on the words, it does nothing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Java. What is going on? What else can I do to fix this. And I have Windows Vista, just in case you need to know. Thanks Sharon

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain (addons.mozilla.org) via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

  • How do I get back my AT&T Yahoo Home Page and Tool Bar?

I am a senior citizen with little computer knowledge. I cannot cope with changes to my home page because I do not have the knowledge/skills to undo the changes your program has installed.
AT&T is my Internet Service Provider. Firefox is my browser. Right? When I installed the newer version of Firefox it usurped my AT&T Yahoo Home Page and Task Bar. I want my old home page and task bar back.
I used system recovery to go back a couple hrs. prior to when the new Fire Fox was installed and lost Firefox & At&T. Was in a great state of frustration when I couldn't get system recovery up after going to control panel. System recovery finally popped up again and I went forward to after installation of new Fire Fox and have system up again.
I am unable to read up on new Fire Fox program now. All I want is my old AT&T Yahoo Home Page back with their Task Bar. I can learn new Fire Fox as time permits.
For a non-profit organization I find Fire Fox quite aggressive. That is good when mobilizing us to write or call Congress but not to take over my Home Page.
Will have to admit new Fire Fox sure is faster.
I do want to commend you for taking a stand against what Congress is trying to do and also for your non-intrusive, not obnoxious way of asking for donations. You help inform us and let us know of your need and anyone that is not a free loader with a conscience, I think, would make a donation according to what one can afford. Keep up the good work and the good fight..........please do help me restore my home page back to AT&T with the old task bar.
I appreciate all the help you can give me. Please excuse this long note.
    Blessings, Helen
Added Note: AT&T home page returned. Still need Tool Bar. Troubleshooting information from Firefox help for Tool Bar below. Also info to restore Refresh and Home icon below.

This is the answer from Firefox Help to get Tool Bar back up:
Why are the menus (File, Edit, View, etc.) missing?
If you're using Windows 7 or Windows Vista, you now have an orange Firefox button that takes the most common functions and puts them in one menu.
To temporarily show the old style menus, just press the Alt key.
To have them shown all the time, right-click on an empty section of the Tab Strip and check Menu Bar in the pop-up menu.
    Menu Bar - Win
Pressing the Alt key didn't work for me but the latter instruction did the trick.
Check the Navigation Bar too on the pop-up menu if you want your Refresh and Home Icons to show. It took quite a few right-clicks for me before the pop-up menu I needed came up so keep trying until the right menu comes up.

  • Flash ( Player doesn't work - Yahoo Home Page under Vista

ATT Yahoo Home Page - Today Section Videos don't work run in
Vista - they do run under XP - Latest Flash Player is loaded -
works at other sites under Vista to include Your Tube - looking for
suggestions - have tried turning off Firewall, Spyware, Anti Virus,
UAC, etc - no luck - Thanks

Hello, Since you have uninstalled and reinstalled, the first thing I would do is go to www.adobe.com/software/flash/about. Adobe will tell you if F.P. is installed and what version you have. The next thing, is if it is indeed installed, is go to Tools>manange add ons, find Shockwave Flash Object, hi light it, and on the bottom right  you should see "Update Active X". Click on that and when the update is completed, Reboot. Then see if that solves your problem.

  • Recently my itouch will not fully open articles from the yahoo home page.  The article starts to open but as I scroll down the page there are blacked out and whited out sections.  Te "reader" option opens the full article.

I can look at the yahoo home page and open the links to articles, but the articles do not fully open unless the reader option is available and I use it.  So far this has happened only from yahoo or some links emailed to me.  I have done a hard reset but not a restore.

    - Double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 3G 4G only has 256 MB of memory.
    - Next try going to Settings>Safari and Clear Cookies, Data and History
    - Have you looked at the previous discussions listed on the right side of this page under the heading "More Like This"?
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Can't stop Pop up ads on yahoo home page

    Hi,
I have 3GS with latest 4.3.3 os.  Last couple of days, every time I open yahoo home page (uk.m.yahoo.com) I get pop up ad at bottom of the page. Clicking on the close button only removes it to a tap that appears at edge of screen. If I open the ad to full page and close the ad it doesn't disappear but goes back to sitting at the bottom of the page again.  The ad is for the 'green lantern' or 'lynx body spray'.  I've been into safari settings and the block pop ups is on. I've cleared history, cookies and cache, Rebooted iPhone but it keeps appearing.
This pop up is really annoying and blocks the view of the bottom of the screen!  Never had this problem til couple of days ago.  I'm on a data plan so it's not because I'm pay as you go.
Any help would be appreciated as it's driving me nuts!

    Update-
If I select an article from yahoo's home page and then use the 'back' button at the top of the articles page, when returning to yahoo's home page the ad dissapears.  If I use the iphones 'back' button to return to yahoo's home page then the ad returns!
Not a fix but a work round to not have annouying ads filling bottom of yahoo's home page!

  • BT Yahoo Home Page access

Now that the Bt Yahoo login has now changed to BT.com I have lost access to my old BT Yahoo home page.
This was a useful home page which was customisable with feeds etc.
Now it just re-directs to the BT.com portal home page instead.
Is there any way I can still get back to my old home page as I had a lot of useful stuff on there.
Yesterday I could log in via Yahoo but today that's been redirected too.
Does this mean that all BT Yahoo people will be booted off Yahoo completely...?

    Use
Access your old Yahoo Notepad - e-mail and calendar
Some Yahoo stuff will be moved across, the rest will be deleted.
If you still want Yahoo, they you will have to create a new Yahoo normal account.

It may not be a good soloution for a novice, but I have been using hosts files to block unwanted URLs for many years with zero disasters and lots of positive results.
As I noted, whenever I find a new "bad" site, I simply add the name to my hosts file. It takes a few seconds and then it's gone forever. I find no difficulty whatsoever.
No, it's not for everyone, which is why I gave no specific details; but for those who are interested and have the desire to learn about these hosts files, it is a very good way to avoid "bad" websites.
I also enjoy the "clean" view of a webpage when there are no ads showing at all. The page loads faster and  the distractions are gone.
I never realized how much junk I am supressing until I got my iPad and saw all those horrid ads that are blocked on my other computers.
Here is a typical result of properly using a hosts file:

  • BT Yahoo Home Page - advert coming up in wrong pla...

I have a Dell Inspiron N7010 lap top (64 bit) running Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 9.  I haven't upgraded to the all new BT Yahoo Beta mail yet.  Until recently everything was fine and then a few days ago the advert now comes up in the top left corner of the main part of the BT Home page instead of the box on the right hand side where it is meant to be!  Everything else works OK but it is very off putting.  I tried using the 64 bit version of Internet Explorer 9 and it works OK except when I go to open e-mails it says Adobe Flash is out of date.  When I go to update Adobe Flash (it is offering 10.1 version) I am told it doesn't work on 64 bit!!!
I have thought of uninstalling IE9 and reinstalling it - or maybe the IE8 BT version....
Does anyone have any thoughts about this?
    Any ideas gratefully accepted...

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I thought I'd solved this problem, but after reverting to IE8 yesterday Windows wanted to update to IE9 for 64 bit.  I waited until this evening to do it, because I wanted to make sure my Windows Backup had gone through OK (with IE9 it wouldn't complete).  Now I am on IE9 for 64 bit and the advert is back in the wrong place!
    This is really frustrating
Also, I thought I'd solved the problem of blank calendars on the gadgets platform by turning it off and on again - that is now blank again and turning it off and on again now doesn't work!!!
    Doubly frustrated!!!
I just thought I'd let people know what is happening - in case someone might have the same problem or maybe BT can take a look at their home page and tell me what is wrong with it!!! It is only happening on their website!!
