Yahoo images blurry

Yahoo browser images are grainy/blurry?

It's a long thread but hopefully it has some pointers in it.  http://forums.adobe.com/thread/997350?start=0&tstart=0

  • When I use yahoo images and i open an image in a new window, it tweakes out firefox so that panes are distorted and exerything, the whole firefox browser looks like an F5 tornado took it apart and lumped it on my desktop... is this a known glitch?

When I use yahoo images and open an image in a new window, the page, once I click its tab causes the entire browser to scramble graphically, making it nearly impossible to navigate further. I right-clicked and selected close tab. That regains the visual clarity of the browser. But how can I fix this to browse the images?

    Phillipp,
I tried it again using "save link as", and this time it actually worked! I just now downloaded several more using the "save link as" option, and it works perfectly. Thanks. Problem solved.

What resolution and if I need to do anythig with digitalstill images files?

Use an image editing program like Photoshop to resize the images to the correct resolution
and pixel aspect ratio (PAR) of your DVD before importing them into PPro. PPro does not resize images very well.

  • Gwenview display images blurry

    Hi,
I have a strange problem with gwenview for a quite long time. It displays some high resolution images kind of blurry.
Today I resized some photos using imagemagick( convert -resize 75% ) from 4500x6000 pix.  While the original photos was displayed by gwenview nice and clear, the resized ones looked blurry.
I tooked screenshots, here is the difference:
The one  of the left side is the original 4500x6000 pix jpg, the one on the right side is the resized one at 3000x4000pix.
I opened the same files with gqview, and both of them was displayed clear.
The left side cut from the original, the right side from the resized.
With showphoto also both display clear:
So i don't think that the problem was with resize operation, but with gwenview's jpeg rendering. It also happend that it displayed images blurry wich were not resized.
    I'm currently using kde 4.4.3, but I observed the same with all the versions of kde4 and gwenview4 ( I used 4.3, 4.2, 4.1, 4.0 )

I believe you put HTML "pre" tags around your quote (with square brackets, I can't type them here because they'll be escaped).
If the example below looks formatted then using "pre" works, if not...then ignore me ;)

  • Why are watermark and background images blurry in Acrobat Pro?

I've created a header image in Illustrator that incorporates a client's logo and text in a box to use in Acrobat Pro XI (Because you can't insert an image in the Acrobat header/foot function--please let me know if I'm wrong about that). I exported the image from lllustrator as high quality print PDF and as a high quality JPG. The document I am working on is a combination of Word generated text pages and RTF data sets converted to PDFs.  When I try to insert the PDF header I've created it will not work in the data set pages as a watermark or background. It does work as a JPG, but the problem is that the box surrounding the JPG image and text loses its bottom line and the entire image looks blurry. The PDF isn't clear as I'd like it look either.  Any suggestions on how I can fix this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

    Hello Bill,
Thanks for the suggestion.  Unfortunately, Acrobat only accepts a limited number of file formats. I used PDF images as much as possible assuming that they'd have the highest resolution.
The RTF pages wouldn't take a BMP. I've been searching for an plug-in or third party add-on to resolve the issue.

  • Why are these placed images blurry??

I created an image in Photoshop that has: resolution 72 pix/in, 600 px by 800 px (about the average screen size of ereaders)
This is what the image looks like on Photoshop at 100% zoom: http://i.imgur.com/0dNU2lU.png
When I Place the jpg image in Indesign, it looks blurry and pixelated: like this
I looked on other similar threads from google, but it seems those people hadn't been using the correct resolution of 72 dpi. But my images in Photoshop ARE at 72 dpi. Is there anything else you would recommend to do? I would really appreciate any help!
    Also, if it helps:
I'm working on an epub document with these settings: screenshot
This is what the frame fitting options window looks like when I select the image on Indesign: http://i.imgur.com/WqRxAaS.png

First off, for text like that youreally should just build the page in ID.
But to get the best preview, and that's what it it is, a preview, not the acutal pixels as you see in an editor like photoshop, use View > Display Performance > High Quality Display.

  • Images blurry when merged with background - Captivate 5

I am trying to merge my buttons and several text boxes onto the background in order to keep file size down.  When I merge with the background the buttos become blurry and the test is blurry.  Any suggestions on how to correct this issue?
    Thanks!

If the only reason is to keep the file size down then it is pointless as merging them with the background will not reduce the file size as they are still images. If they are image buttons ie not interactive than you could try placing them on a master slide. You only need to place the images once into the library then drag them from the library to reuse and captivate will be only using the image size once reducing file size and using the one image multiple times.

  • Yahoo Images Not Loading Properly In FireFox

I can get images/links to load properly in other browsers, but if I do an image search on yahoo with Firefox, I will click a thumbnail, and the page changes to the pic. But, if I try to click the link to go to the actual page the image is on, the link doesn't work. I can click and click but a page doesn't open. And if I right click and choose Open Link In New Tab...it will just open the same thing I was looking at.
    http://www.aroundthering.com/pics/593.png
If you look at the above image, you will see a "preview". But if I click the link at the bottom "www.sports-logos-screensave...", it will just bring up exactly the same page as above. What can I do to fix this since it works fine in IE and Chrome...

  • Why are my images blurry when I save my doc as a pdf?

I have Microsoft Word 2007. I am trying to save a document with a lot of images to a pdf but after I save it as a pdf...all my images are blurry? I have tried saving the images as a TIF (using Snagit) instead of a JPEG because I thought the problem was with the image. But perhaps it is with my Adobe Reader. I had a friend try fixing the pdf file from her computer and her images come out great while mine are still blurry.

    Hello there,
Thanks for posting. Did you convert the file to PDF using Acrobat.com (www.acrobat.com)? If not, you may want to give it a try. That being said, it sounds as though it could also be a settings issue in Adobe Reader; unfortunately, if that's the case, I won't be able to offer much assistance. Perhaps this thread in the Adobe Acrobat forum will be of help:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/305911
It may not be of specific help, but it may put you on the right path. Please let me know if you need additional help or information and I will do my best to elaborate.
    Best regards,
    Rebecca

  • Font, Video, and Images Blurry

When I preview or even work on my project everything is blurry but when its just the picture or video is its very clear. Do I have something wrong with the size? What should I do? I just want to make a dvd of a local theater production for the cast to have. So it have images, video, music and fonts. Thanks

Whenever you add non-DV images to your video project (titles, graphics, photos) or you add effects to your clips, you will need to render this segment in order to see it at full, final quality. (This is indicated by a red line above your clips on your project timeline.)
To render your clips, press Enter. When the program finishes processing your render, the red line will turn green and you will see your video at a quality more representative of your final output.

  • Cover Flow Images Blurry--numbers and pages files only

I was using the Cover Flow view in Finder today, and noted that the images associated with Apple software files--pages and numbers were blurry.  pdfs, Word or Excel files show up crisp and clear, as do images.
This ocurs on both my iMac and MacBook.  Is there a preference setting somewhere that needs to be set to get the file "images" to show up sharp? (I had a similar problem with .jpgs created in Photoshop, and learned there was a setting in PS to not save thumbnail images that solved the sharpness problem there.)
    Thank you.

I use Creative Cloud storage. Want them there. At this point, I can't do that at all. It won't open anything not saved there.
In the past people have reported problems with saving Numbers 3 documents to cloud services other than iCloud. For example, see this thread. For a while even Dropbox didn't work well, though Dropbox has since fixed that. I think the problems have something to do with the fact that a Numbers document isn't a "file"; it's actually a collection of files organized in a folder that looks like one file in Finder.  I understand that the Numbers 3 format is optimized for fast cross-platform sync; in that respect, it is certainly a big step forward from previous versions.  Some cloud services seem to trouble with the format, though, and that may be what you are seeing.

  • Images blurry?

Hi! So about two days ago, I bought a 13 inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display (refurbished - it was in perfect condition). Two days later, I noticed that images were blurry - like, really noticeably blurry.
I downloaded the Photoshop CC trial, and I sized my photo down to 200px and it looked really, REALLY small. I made sure I was zoomed in 100%, but it was just way smaller than it usually would be - like half the size! So I doubled it to 400px, and when I uploaded it to tumblr as my sidebar, and it looked fine - not blurry at all. But every other photo on my blog looked super blurry. I know they recently changed the dimensions, but on the blogs the 245px pics didn't get resized, and the 245px pics looked blurry! But, again, my sidebar didn't. My sidebar looked completely fine.
Also, on other websites, the pictures look really, really blurry. Even the google pic looks blurry.
I don't understand! Can anyone tell me what's going on? I love this computer a lot and I would love to keep it. Can someone help me fix this?

You've probably scaled them too much by mistake in Photoshop.  However rather than worrying about that, just place the originals in Indesign and scale them there, much better and faster, and as long as the originals aren't fuzzy, your prints or PDFs won't be either.
If they are that's another separate problem...

  • Still images blurry

I'm trying to use still images in FCP5. But when I export the video with the stills in place, they become blurry.
It's a widescreen project and I've created images that are 853x480.
    What should I do?

    Choose Quicktime conversion...
This is the likely cause. QuickTime Conversion always recompresses your file, even if you use the same codec as your Timeline.
Do this instead: File > Export > QuickTime Movie > Current Settings.
Whether Self Contained or Reference is up to you.

  • Images Blurry on Printed Documentation Output

    Hello everyone,
With my current project, consisting of several linked Word documents, when I generate a printed documentation output the images (pdf or word) within the document are extremely blurry.
The images are embedded within the Word docs, then linked into RH9.0.2. The quality is rather poor, and I wonder if anyone knows how to get a better result when generating the printed documentation.
    Thank you,
    Jerry

  • Header Images Blurry

    Hi -
Is there a specific format that uploaded images need to be in order to be crisp and not pixelated?  I'm a graphic designer and am trying to use custom headers that I've created but when I upload them into the form they are blurry and pixelated.  They're fine in Photoshop.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks!

Please view the FAQ at http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1621.  This covers general image pixelation and blurryness issues.  If this does not help you resolve the problem then please respond back.
