Yahoo in firefox is very tiny writing...hard to read

I was doing yahoo email yesterday 1-25-12 and suddenly the printing of it got smaller and smaller and now I can't read it at all. I deleted out firefox completely and today downloaded again and still have same problem. No other program is doing this....I want the printing to be normal

Hi arkansaswoman,
Does this happen in all sites or just Yahoo? You can try using [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-use-zoom Zoom]. This will increase/decrease the size of everything on the page. ''CTRL and 0'' will return it to normal size. I would try that first.
If that doesn't work, you could try starting Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down ''shift'' while Firefox is starting. If it works in Safe Mode, then it's probably an add-on plugin issue and you should disable them one by one until you find the culprit.
Hopefully this helps!

  • My verizon email with on firefox has very small letters, hard to read. HELP

My email messages are coming in in small letters and are hard to read. I am on verizon.
this does not occur when I use internet explorer.
Please tell me what to do so the letters will be bigger and I can then read the messages.

Hi jeanbrasel, sorry you are having problems. I assume your problem is with the desktop version of Firefox. In that case try this.
Click the Firefox button in the upper left-hand corner. Click Options, then click the Content tab. Check the Fonts & Colors section to make sure that the default size is acceptable. If that is acceptable, then click the Advanced button and uncheck the box next to "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above". Then select a minimum size, such as 12. Here is a screenshot to help you. If that doesn't fix it, reply back!

There is no application called "Adobe" - you are either working with Adobe Acrobat or the free Adobe Reader. Open up the preferences for the application (Edit>Preferences), then go to the "General" category and modify the settings for "Scale for screen resolution". You will have to restart the application after you do that. Does that fix your problems?

  • Using safari web pages have writing over writing hard to read

I do a lot of surfing from web page to web page.  Lately it is very hard to read many of the pages as there is writing over writing.  Sometimes a section on the page is too small and I cannot read to entire content.

Two main things you can try are to reset Safari, which can be selected under the Safari menu item and try deleting the .plist.
You need to look in your user Library/Preferences for the .plist. Hold down the option key while using the Finder "Go To Folder" command. Enter ~/Library. Delete the .plist(s) for the application.
If you prefer to make your user library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.
    http://osxdaily.com/2011/07/04/show-library-directory-in-mac-os-x-lion/
You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after I installed 10.8.2. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

  • Yahoo e-mail page is distorted and hard to read (once in a while its OK) - box does not extend to the right side making e-mail info hard to read. Info displayed in the reading panel is OK.

When I open the Yahoo email page, the box does not extend across the screen and the script is distorted making it hard to read the source, subject etc. The reading panel info reads OK. All other pages of Yahoo are not distorted.

Many of your points are totally legitimate.
    This one, however, is not:
…To put it another way, the design of the site seems to be geared much more towards its regular users than those the site is supposedly trying to "help"…
The design and management of the forums for more than five years have driven literally dozens of the most valuable contributors and "regulars" away from the forums—permanently.
The only conclusion a prudent, reasonable person can draw from this state of affairs is that Adobe consciously and deliberately want to kill these forums by attrition—without a the PR hit they would otherwise take if they suddenly just shut them down.

  • Upscaled images look blurry, is there a way to sharpen them? In particular, zooming on pages with images that actually contain only text are hard to read.

I am zooming in on my homework in mastering physics. I am using a large screen and sitting far away. It uses a lot of images containing the text I need to read, but when the images are upscaled, they become very blurry and hard to read. A simple sharpen effect after it is resized would fix the problem. Is there a way to do this in firefox? like a command line switch or maybe something in about:config? Thanks

It may sound counter-intuitive, but could you try disabling graphics hardware acceleration? Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You usually need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If you restart Firefox, is the issue resolved?

  • After logging on, the websites go from regular to TINY font- can't read it

when I open Firefox, everything looks fine, as soon as I start to go to a website such as msn or yahoo mail, the font becomes tiny. I cannot read my yahoo mail at all.

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.
    *<b>View > Zoom > Reset</b> (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)
You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

  • When I print an email using firefox as my browser the print if very, very tiny. No problem using Internet Explorer. This happens with both my Gmail and my AOL emails.

My emails are printing in very tiny type (unreadable). This happens in both my Gmail and AOL email accounts. When I use internet explorer it doesn't happen. I have researched the answers online and it seems that if I go to Firefox>file>page setup>scale and set it to 100% it may fix the problem. However, I cannot figure out how to take the first step. Where can I find "file"????
Sorry to be such a dummy.

    1. orange Firefox button in the upper-left corner - then click on Print - then click on Page Setup
    2. if that orange Firefox button isn't showing and the Menu bar is - click to open File - then click to open Page Setup

  • I have a very tiny, fuzzy black speck on the screen of my Macbook Pro 15".

I have a very tiny, fuzzy black speck on the screen of my Macbook Pro 15". It doesn't resemble dead pixels I've encountered in the past (it is only visible behind a white or brightly colored background), and I'm positive it isn't sitting on the surface. The computer is only a year and a half old and my software is up to date.

    Hi austinbread,
It is hard to tell exactly what your issue with the MacBook Pro’s display is, but it is possible that there is a pixel anomaly. See this article for further information -

  • I want to ask something about firefox. why firefox use very much memory? can you develop to reduce memory comsume? this problem is very distrub in my PC with low memory.

I want to ask something about firefox.
why firefox use very much memory?
can you develop to reduce memory comsume?
this problem is very distrub in my PC with low memory.
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened

How much memory is Firefox using right now?
    # Press '''CTRL+SHIFT+ESC''' to load the Task Manager window
    # Click the Processes tab at the top. (Click once near the top of the window if you don't see tab
    # Find firefox.exe, and see how many kilobytes of memory it's using.
Showing around 80MB when Firefox first starts is normal. Right now, I have 75 tabs open and it's using 500MB - this varies a lot depending on what you have in the tabs.
Other than high memory usage, what other problems are you experiencing? (Examples include slowness, high CPU usage, and failure to load certain sites)
Many of these issues, including high memory usage, can be caused by misbehaving add-ons. To see if this is the case, try the steps at [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]. Outdated plugins are another cause of this issue - you can check for this at http://www.mozilla.com/plugincheck

Firefox is very slow to respond when opening and nearly always stops responding altogether, even refusing to react to the Task Manager "End Program" command. Can you drag the bottom right corner? You can in Snow Leopard, and I imagine you can in Lion.
