Yahoo Mail - check inbox - goes directly to a 404 error page in Firefox 4

HP Laptop - Windows 7 - Firefox 4 - Yahoo Mail.
Whenever I go to the yahoo inbox, the page is automatically redirected to a 404 error about "ill be honest" -
here's the URL:
http://search.yahoo.com/404handler?ei=UTF-8&p=i+ll+be+honest+com+blank&url=http%3A%2F%2Fillbehonest.comblank.html%2F&src=toolbar&nrd=1&fr=slv502-msgr
it happens if i log in as myself or as the person who owns the laptop. It does happen on a different computer or the iphone.
i've virused scanned, updated, cleaned, restarted, defraged, screamed at it and more... including uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox.
Any ideas!? Thanks in advance

  • Yahoo loads log in click mail 404 error page not found why?

I upload yahoo site, log in, click 'mail' and am given a '404' error; page not found... This does NOT happen on Chrome or IE, but the pages of yahoo on IE suck and Chrome won't let me have a single toolbar even though there are all sorts of claim you can have one... (sorry) WHY doesn't FIREFOX let yahoo mail load? I LOVE FIREFOX and ALL THINGS MOZILLA, but after I ran into crappy-sappy babylon... it put a toolbar on IE, CHROME and MOZILLA... I had to delete everything associated with them all, get toolbar sweepers and better uninstall programs to weed their junk out and now MOZILLA, FIREFOX, rather warns no one and makes me submit this rather than help

  • Yahoo Mail: New Inbox Messages Are Not Downloaded To iPhone

Keywords: iPhone, Yahoo, mail, push, slow, broken, stopped, inbox, new messages, IMAP
    Problem Description:
I just went through an entire day of restarting, restoring, reconfiguring my iPhone after the Mail App stopped downloading new messages from my Yahoo Inbox. Other folders could receive new messages, but not the Inbox.
After trying to get help from Apple support and Yahoo, I kept searching online. I managed to find a solution that worked and I thought I'd share this here in case anyone else has run into this problem, which I believe is a Yahoo issue, not an Apple one.
    Solution:
From a web browser do the following
    - Log into your Yahoo Mail account via mail.yahoo.com
    - Create a new folder in Yahoo Mail (I called it "Archive")
    - Move ALL MESSAGES from your Inbox to this new folder ("Archive" in my case)
    - Send yourself a test message
After performing these steps (essentially archiving your Inbox to another folder), you should start receiving Yahoo Inbox messages again on your iPhone. After I performed the above procedure, Yahoo Mail has been more responsive than ever before on the iPhone - even faster than my old BlackBerry...
It seems as though the Yahoo IMAP server gets really slow or malfunctions when either there is a corrupt message or the Inbox gets too large (not sure which). It would be really cool if someone from Yahoo (or Apple) could confirm this.
I'd be interested to see if anyone else has run into this issue and if this procedure solves the issue for you... I know for me, I will be periodically Archiving my Inbox to another folder to keep things operating smoothly.
    Good Luck!

    Hmm.. this seems to work..
I emptied both "Spam" and "Trash" folder on a browser. After that, new emails seem to push to iPhone right away now. Let's see how long this will last..
Does that mean that I would have to make sure there's no email in these two folders to make push work at all time?

  • My yahoo mail wont open. It opens in IE but not in Firefox. Its just stays in page loading mode and never actually loading or going to an error page. Can you help?

I also have a problem with my Facebook page where the page doesn't fully load and I cannot see the people who are live in chat.
I have been able to login on occasion by googling yahoo mail and logging through the Google link but that is not working tonight.
    Paul

By the way, the safari setting is: private browsing off and accept cookies from visited. Much help is appreciated!

    Hi,
My name is John, and I'm a member of the Searchqu Support Team. I'm here to help :)
When the software was installed onto your pc it offered two basic installs, typical installation, which lists the add-on features such as searchqu homepage, and custom installation, which allows you to select the add-ons that you wish to install. There's no need to worry if you did the typical install - this isn't a virus, nor malware, and there's no need to Perform a virus scan against it.
In order to change searchqu as your homepage please check:

  • "Reply To Sender" doesn't work with Yahoo Mail. Works OK in IE, so the problem is with Firefox. Please fix this NOW!

'Reply to Sender' only works with some emails. For example, with emails that appear to be identical except for the user name one will work OK with Reply To Sender and the next will not. For example, using Reply To Sender with [email protected] will work fine, but trying Reply To Sender with [email protected] doesn't work. I just get a blank email page with nothing on it. I have a laptop and a desktop and they both have the same problem. I've tried all of the suggestions for making changes in the various sections of the Tools Menu but nothing works. Email works fine in IE. I'm running Win7.

First, I would try disabling any Add-ons like Adblock Plus, or NoScript.
    Second, possibly try disabling anti-virus
Third, if that didn't do it, I would then Restart FF in Safe Mode, and see if that worked.
Then, re-enable each individually, to see which is causing it.

  • When attempting to go to my Cox Web Mail account I receive at the top of the page. "Firefox is preventing this page from redirecting to other page, so I have to click on the top right ALLOW for it to redirect to my Cox Webmail sign in page. Why?

When using my Cox e-mail shortcut to go to the sign in page why does Firefox prevent the current page from redirecting to the Cox web mail sign in page?
What settings do I change so I don't have to go to the top right of the page and click on ALLOW?

@Steve_Clairman, if you are looking for the orange Firefox button (abbreviated menus), it will appear if you turn off the classic menu bar:

  • Yahoo mail inbox not visible on mail

    Hi all,
not sure what happened between Monday afternoon and today, but all of a sudden my yahoo mail's inbox is no longer visible.  It shows 0 messages.  I seem to have access to any other folders for the mailbox, but not the inbox.  This is also occurring on my iPad and iPhone.  Has anyone seen this before?  I updated to Yosemite about 2 weeks ago.  Not sure if it has anything to do with that, since it only happened now.  I also cant seem to find any issues with Yahoo, and I am able to log into yahoo mail directly and I can see all the new emails and my entire inbox.  I have removed and reinstalled the mailbox several times, and also tried to update the settings, but nothing.  If anyone has any ideas, that would be great.
    thanks

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.
    *<b>View > Zoom > Reset</b> (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)
If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a (too) high value can cause issues.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with overlapping text.
You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

  • Cannot log out of yahoo mail comletely with firefox for the past two week or so

Recently I have been unable to log out of yahoo mail completely with firefox. I get the following error message: "The connection has timed out. The server at us.lrd.yahoo.com is taking too long to respond." I have more than one yahoo mail acct. and cannot log into a different acct until the first one is closed out completely. On the error message page there is "Try Again" button. This has occasionally helped but rarely.
I have tried opening FF in safe mode but this has not helped at all. I have used two other browsers to access my yahoo mail to see it the problem was with yahoo or FF. Both browsers repeatedly logged out of yahoo mail without a problem.

I don't think it's a Firefox issue. I switched to Chrome because the newest Yahoo Mail just doesn't work in Firefox, and Mozilla says its a Yahoo problem, which I believe. The email works great while I'm in Chrome, but I can't sign out without going to the Yahoo home page and using that sign out link. Conversely, I CAN sign out in Firefox (been flipping back & forth the past few days trying to figure it out). I just tried it in Internet Explorer and still can't sign out. I never had any Yahoo mail problems in any of these three browsers until the latest version of Yahoo mail came out, and now I just close the browser to sign out -- it's faster, for me anyway.

  • HT4906 is there any connection in photo stream and My Yahoo mail Applications and attachments

When is Photo stream and Yahoo mail Applications / Attachments going to allow me to empty my attchments into trash? / delete them

You will have to ask Yahoo - If you are using Apple software then that all works - I do not use Yahoo applications and have no idea how they work - support for them must come from Yahoo

  • Yahoo MAIL won't sync Galaxy S3

The only way I can read my YAHOO mail is by going to the internet.  I set up my account but tells me that I have 0 e-mails.

I have great news for you KathleenWZ! Since there are so many different forms of Yahoo email and some may not be recognized properly in the native mail application on Android phones, Yahoo created their own mobile application for email to provide a great experience with any Yahoo email account. You can see all the details by logging into your Google account at http://bit.ly/VkhjpD and even send the app to your phone from the site.

  • Logging off yahoo mail - how?

    hi guys,
newbie here, just set up my yahoo mail & checked my mail for the first time, but logging off? do i just press the home button? is that simple? thanks

nothing runs in the background. You are logged off after closing any app. After you select the e-mail account it checks for new email. Once it's done you will see at the bottom it has been updated.

  • How can I use two different Yahoo mail accounts ion Firefox?

I have two Yahoo mail IDs. How can I use them both simultaneously on Firefox? Right now I am running Firefox and Internet Explorer so I can have the two accounts open at the same time. I would prefer to have both accounts running on Firefox, but I can't figure out how to do it.

Multifox is an extension that allows Firefox to connect to websites using different user names. Simultaneously! <br />
