Yahoo mail form not working

Hey everyone-
I have had a problem with getting my mail forms to work in any website I make. When testing the email after officially launching a website, i receive a message delivery failure notice that says this:
However, I have changed all my accounts to gmail, including my creative cloud membership and the recipient email of the form. Everything is set to a gmail account, so yahoo isn't even being used anymore and I am still receiving this message. Anyone have any experience with this?
Many thanks,
Sydney

Hi Sidney,
Please check the From email address set in the Site Manager > System Emails > Workflow Notification section which is still set to @yahoo.com account.

My Yahoo Mail is not Working on any of my Apple devices,  It attempts to download new email but then stops.  Any ideas?

I, too, am having a problem with my Yahoo email account on my first generation IPad. I can't download my emails to my IPad from the server. The IPad looks like it's trying to download them but can't do it. I am able to send emails from my IPad with my Yahoo account.
This problem started yesterday, Aug., 25th, the day after I uploaded the last update from Apple. I am able to set up another email account through Sbcglobal that will download my emails to my IPad but it is not sync'ed with my desktop mail which creates a mess when I move or delete emails.
I've tried deleting my Yahoo account and then adding it back. Also I've reset my IPad and I've done a full restore.
I think it has something to do with the last update, which I believe was a security update, which may have reset the firewall. That's just a guess.
Has anyone figures out anything else?

What do you mean your Yahoo mail isn;t working? If you are talking about it not working in the mail app, remove your account from Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and add it again. Then follow the instructions here to recover your Apple ID password.

    Hello tifftann,
I'm sorry, I'm a bit unclear what exactly you mean when you say that your Yahoo account "stop[ed] working". If you are having issues sending or receiving from the Yahoo mail account you have configured on your iPhone after a recent iOS update, you may find the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following article helpful:

  • Yahoo mail is not working on our iMac 9.0 OS

Yahoo mail which previously worked on our (older) iMac 9.0x OS suddenly stopped working. Is it the simple problem with the browser (Internet Explorer 7 I believe) being old? Because the OS is older? Do we simply need to upgrade to a newer operating system, such as Mac X ? Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you for your help! I downloaded the Wamcom/Mozilla browser, and so far so good. It works alot better than the IE 5 that we were using! I can now access my yahoo mail, which is a big help. There is one problem and I'm not sure why, but now I can't login to facebook using Mozilla. I don't suppose anyone knows of another browser? There are also some problems with security on this version of Mozilla. But, with minor problems, it is still working faster than the older clunky version of IE that I had, and I can get email. Yeay!

  • Email linEmail link to Yahoo Mail does not work in in FF26.0 Windows 7, 64 bit computer?

    as above

Do you mean, for example, that if you click a link like this:
    [email protected]
Firefox does not start a new message in Yahoo! mail?
I think you will need to set Firefox to use Yahoo! mail using the Options dialog. Please see this article for the steps: [[Change the program used to open email links]].
    Does that work?
Or if you can't open Yahoo! mail at all, try going in through one of these addresses:
    * Yahoo home page: https://www.yahoo.com/
    * My Yahoo page: https://my.yahoo.com/
    * General mail redirect: https://mail.yahoo.com/
Note that many users have discovered problems with bookmarks they saved for the "old" Yahoo mail and need to update them to work with the "new" (neo) Yahoo mail.

  • Yahoo Mail Inbox Not Working

It seems that the Yahoo Mail Inbox has stopped fetching any messages (old or new). It will get all email from other Yahoo Mail folders... just not the inbox. I want to say it's been a problem for the last 2-3 days. The status message on the iPhone just says "Checking for Mail" and hangs.
Anyone else having this same problem?
    Thanks.

For better or for worse, this solution below works, found at iLounge. I'd love to know what constitutes a "corrupt email" (that is fine by PC/browser but the iPhone can't handle).

I called an Apple tech and have a solution for the problem stated by the OP and myself:
    1) Login your Yahoo account from your computer
    2) Create a folder named InboxTest and move every email sitting in your Inbox into this new folder.
    3) Compose a new email from Yahoo and send it to yourself (the Yahoo account that isn't working)
    4) Close your browser, do not check/read your Yahoo account from your computer
    5) Go to your iPhone > Mail > Yahoo > Inbox and tap the refresh button
5a) There is a possibility that the email you sent yourself got diverted to your Bulk/Junk folder automatically so if you don't see anything check that folder
5b) You may need to reset your iPhone (hold home + sleep button)
After you restart your iPhone, your InboxTest folder should show up, and your Inbox should be downloading new emails correctly. If your Inbox starts working again, do not open the InboxTest folder from your iPhone -- you will need to login from your computer again and go through the various emails in the InboxTest folder, one of them is corrupt or caused the issue to begin with... so delete any that you don't need
I hope this helps, it's the procedure as I could remember it when I was talking to the Apple tech... it may not be step by step but I think it will work -- if not just call Apple.

  • ** Yahoo Mail setup not working! **

Just purchased a brand new iPad, but am unable to setup Yahoo Mail on the iPad's Mail application.
I am setting it up directly through the iPad - not via sync.
I keep getting an error that the username or password is incorrect after choosing the Yahoo Mail option, and entering the information, and waiting for it to authenticate. The message i get is: "username or password is incorect from "imap.apple.yahoo.mail.com"
the username and password are both correct: i am able to access yahoo webmail using both my regular mac safari browser, and the safari browser on the iPad itself, without a problem.
I tried deleting the account and re-setting it up several times, using the yahoo mail option. i get the same result
I even reset the password to one that did not have capital letters, in case there was a case sensitivity issue.
It is a "free" yahoo account (as opposed to yahoo plus), but my understanding is that this should not be an issue.
very frustrating to spend $900 for this device, and not even have basic email functionality... this was the primary reason i bought the device.
Any help or suggestions are very much appreciated.
    [email protected]

hey, if you read up a few posts... i was able to resolve my problem with yahoo mail:
<<<after further research, it turns out that there are in fact periodic problems on Yahoo's end that cause this error creating a Yahoo mail account on a new iPad. While several repeated attempts to create the account failed at the time, i tried again a day later and it was successful. So problem solved.>>>
It appears that many people have had this problem with Yahoo. It must happen from time to time, something with the servers on yahoo's end. the error they give you isnt very helpful in figuring it out.
I suggest you wait a day, delete the account you tried to create... and recreate it not manually but using the built in mail setup, choosing yahoo mail. Keep trying until it works, because it appears the problem is on yahoo's end not yours.
Oh and whatever you do, don't let anyone tell you (especially yahoo) that the reason is because you don't have a paid yahoo account and yours is a free email account. My free yahoo account, and many others, all work just fine.
Hope this helps, let us know that you were able to make it work. Obviously this is a rather widespread problem that either yahoo or apple should address.

  • Yahoo mail is not working on my iPad or Exchange on my iPhone

I can send but not receive.  I've walked through the "get help" guide, including deleting account and installing.  Both Yahoo and Exchange email is not working on either iPad or iPhone, and both are on the latest iOS.  This issue began Sunday night with Yahoo on iPad and Monday morning with Exchange on iPhone.

My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. The following procedure, pieced together from two websites, fixed the problem for us. So far, so good.
    https://portal.smartertools.com/kb/a2659/configure-imap-for-iphone-or-ipad.aspx
    https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mobile-mail/imap-server-settings-sln4075.html
    On the iPhone, tap Settings.
    Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap your Yahoo account, then delete it.
    Tap Add Account.
    Tap Other.
    Tap Add Mail Account.
Complete the Name, Address (email address), Password and Description fields.
    Click Next.
    Ensure IMAP is selected.
Enter the following incoming mail server information:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server - Requires SSL
    Server: imap.mail.yahoo.com
    Port: 993
    Requires SSL: Yes
    Hostname is mail.yahoo.com.
Username is your full email address
Password is the same password used to access webmail.
Enter the following outgoing mail server information:
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - Requires SSL
    Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
    Port: 465 or 587
    Requires SSL: Yes
    Requires authentication: Yes
Username is your full email address
Password is the same password used to access webmail. It may have been entered for you.
    Tap Next.
The iPhone will establish an SSL connection to your IMAP and SMTP servers.
    That’s all!

  • Yahoo mail is not working properly on my iMac

    Hello can anyone help please.
I have yahoo mail but recently I cannot delete any messages and if they do delete it takes forever and also deletes messages I don't want deleting.  The programme seems to stick and freezes.  Has anyone had the same problem with Yahoo recently?
    Thank you.

You're still under warranty, make an appointment at an Apple store. Backup your phone before you go.

  • Yahoo mail will not work after upgrading to Firefox 26, WHY?

I can see my email, but I can't open it, delete it, or go to any other folders. I have reinstalled Firefox 3 times, restarted my computer every time, logged out and back into Yahoo. Nothing changes. Why does Firefox continually screw something up every time it upgrades? I just want the previous version back without losing all my saved passwords and bookmarks!
    WIN XP SP3

As you've probably noticed, Yahoo! has been making a lot of email changes lately. Users who are using an older bookmark to access Yahoo! mail have reported various glitches. Try accessing your mail using one of these:
    * Yahoo home page: https://www.yahoo.com/
    * My Yahoo page: https://my.yahoo.com/
    * Generic mail redirect: https://mail.yahoo.com/
Make sure to bookmark the new address if it works.
More generally, when you have a problem with one particular site that previously worked fine, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
    (2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

  • Mail form not working

I'm a newbie trying to create a response form for my site.
When I hit "submit" it launches Mail and fills in fields there. I
wanted it to send the form directly to my email address. What am I
    doing wrong? URL here:
    http://allenhanford.com/temp/cont_main.html

There are only two ways to process form data -
    1. Use mailto:[email protected] as the action of the form
    2. Use a server-side scripting method to a) harvest the
    form's data, b)
process it in some manner, e.g., enter it into a database, c)
    formulate and
send an email to one or more email recipients, and d)
    redirect the visitor
    to some ending page
Method 1 is quite simple, and is also the least reliable. It
    depends both
on your visitor having an email client already installed on
    their computer -
this eliminates public computers, or home users without email
    clients
installed (more and more it seems) - and on the installed
    email client
    responding to
the mailto call. It is not possible to use this method *and*
    send the
    visitor to a
    thank you page as well.
Method 2a is the preferred method, since it eliminates the
    problems of
    method
1, but it means that you have to grapple with
    server-scripting somehow (ASP,
    CF, PHP, perl, etc.).
Method 2b would be to use some third-party form processing,
    like
    http://www.bebosoft.com/products/formstogo/,
or if your server supports PHP,
    you could investigate
    http://www.geekministry.com/formbuilder/,
    a very nice
product by a frequent poster here.
You would have to decide which of these methods is best for
    your needs,
but if it's Method 2a, then start by asking your host what
    they provide for
    form
processing. If it's 2b, then read their FAQ/instructions
    carefully.
