on Yahoo Mail, the ID & Password, will not go away, it been 4 days now. Can you help me ? or do i need to uninstall FireFox & re-install it ?

  • Tried deleting an admin on my Macbook Pro, has been 'Deleting Account' for 4 days now, will not let me shut down, log out or cancel the action, what can I do?

    Clicked to delete an admin account, but when I realised it was failing to do so, I tried to close System Preferences / log out / shutdown my mac and this is what comes up:
    'System Preferences is busy and can't be closed.
    Users & Groups preferences is removing a user account and saving the Home directory to a disk image.'
    It has been attempting to delete the account for a few days now and I need to access a different User on my Mac and can't!
    Please can someone tell me what do I do?

  • HT4623 1st gen touch, downloaded version 3.1, apps worked for 1 day now will not open any

    1st generation touch, downloaded version 3.1.3, apps worked for an evening, now you tap them the screen blinks but the won't open.  Are apps still possible on this old of touch?  If so, how do I fix it?

  • Yahoo mail keeps cycling through login and will not open.

    I was trying to get a picture of a plane off of the yahoo emails I was sending out. I must have done something to the security settings. I can open my yahoo, but when I click on a piece of mail I can't get into it. The http:// site cycles endlessly and won't stop. I don't know what to do.

    This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.
    Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
    * "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
    * "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

  • Trial version froze after working well for 2 days, now will not open

    Two days into my trial version PP froze, so I shut it down. Now when I click on the icon to reopen nothing happens. I tried re-downloading it and that didn't work either. Before it froze it seem to be working quite well. Any ideas?

  • Three Beeps that will not go away after new RAM is installed

    I have an old eMac I am trying to fix up. I got the three beep error message instead of the Macintosh startup BOOM. After finding this document on the website <http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1547> I thought it meant bad RAM. So I got two brand new 512mb since it appears to be this unit’s maximum <http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134390> . The eMac appears to be the 1.25ghz model (M9461LL/A). After I installed the new RAM, I am still getting the three beeps error message. Anyone have any ideas what this might going on?

    If the eMac has not worked before for you, then maybe the logic board is gone as two bad banks would more indicate bad circuitry than two defective modules.
    You could try Resetting the PRAM and NVRAM.
    Also, make sure you have fully seated the RAM modules in all the way, they do require some gentle force, and failing that ... be glad that RAM is cheap today and you haven't done a lot of money.

    Hi, I have an iMac that is about 2006/2007.   We have enough memory and storage capacity, so I bought Lion 10.7 (we currently have 10.6.8 Mountain Lion). The reason we are updating is that we have a new printer (just purchased), will only accept 10.7 and higher. 
    The email with the redemption code was sent through, and that was all fine.  But every time I go to actually redeem the code and get the software, it comes up with the message:
    "This item is being modified.  Try again later."
    It's been like this for three days now, I've tried off and on. 
    The support phone numbers are fine, but they are closed, and would really like to get this resolved.
    Any help/ideas would be most appreciated.

    Scornz: They have been saying the same thing for over a week...maybe longer. I submit that what we are being told is not what is actually happening. I would say more, but my last post was deleted because I "conjectured." Pardon-moi.
    So let's think about what we do know. Apple is one of the largest tech companies in the world. They have access to whatever technology exists, and more. Does it make ANY sense that they would be having a problem like this...with these TWO software products...and it's taken more than a week to fix? Does it? What does that make you conjecture?

    Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
    Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
    If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

    What signal is it picking up? Are you joining wireless network? If so don't.. it is really poor way to run things.
    Is it connected to a cable modem? Full router or just a modem type?
    Try a reset?
    Plug in via ethernet.. turn off everything.. wait 5min then restart cable modem.. if that doesn't work, give it a longer off cycle.. 15min or overnight.
    We need more info.

    Is the problem with a feature of the Yahoo! mail web page itself, or the Yahoo! toolbar?
    General advice:
    When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
    Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
    Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
    "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
    On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
    If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
    (2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * click the padlock or globe icon in the address bar > More Information > "View Cookies"
    In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
    Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
