Yahoo Mail no longer showing up on iPhone 5

Yahoo Mail on iPhone won't show any new emails. Been a few days now. Restarted the phone several times. Deleted the Yahoo Mail account from phone and then added it back - did that twice now. All of my saved folders from Yahoo Mail show up but there is now no old or new mail in any of the folders. I cannot send any emails from the Yahoo address either.
This happened once before for like 3 days. Then I woke up one morning and all my mail was magically there.
Has anyone else dealt with this?

A lot of people have been unable to access Yahoo e-mail on their iPhones or iPads. My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. The following procedure, pieced together from two websites, fixed the problem for us. So far, so good.

On the iPhone, tap Settings.
Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap your Yahoo account, then delete it.
Tap Add Account.
Tap Other.
Tap Add Mail Account.
Complete the Name, Address (email address), Password and Description fields.
Click Next.
Ensure IMAP is selected.
Enter the following incoming mail server information:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server - Requires SSL
Server: imap.mail.yahoo.com
Port: 993
Requires SSL: Yes
Hostname is mail.yahoo.com.
Username is your full email address
Password is the same password used to access webmail.
Enter the following outgoing mail server information:
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - Requires SSL
Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Port: 465 or 587
Requires SSL: Yes
Requires authentication: Yes
Username is your full email address
Password is the same password used to access webmail. It may have been entered for you.
Tap Next.
The iPhone will establish an SSL connection to your IMAP and SMTP servers.

Apple Mail no longer showing unread messages in dock

Apple Mail no longer shows unread e-mails in my dock. I recently upgraded to 10.8.4. The program is running and I have tried the various "Dock Unread Count" settings in Preferences. I have also rebuilt the library envelope index files to no avail. I have a lot of rules and over that I use to put e-mails in various folders - is it possible that the rules are interefering with the dock count even though they didn't under 10.7?

In System Preferences > Notification Center, select Mail in the left hand column, and check the box, "Badge app icon" toward the bottom on the right.

It sounds like neither your phone nor Apple TV 1st gen are getting the playlists synced to them from iTunes.
If that is the case then I do not think the issues would be to do with either of the devices themselves, so we should look at the iTunes library itself.
First I would check to see if the checkboxes to sync your playlists are checked in the Music tab of your device when it is selected in iTunes.
Open iTunes.
Connect the iOS device to your computer using the included USB cable and click the device button in the upper right corner. (If you are viewing the iTunes Store, click the Library button in the upper right corner. The device button will then be visible.) Some tabs may not appear if you do not have corresponding content in your library. For example if you do not have any podcasts in your library, the corresponding Podcast tab will not appear.
You can configure the different content types in each tab. For example, Movies under the Movies tab.
To sync, click Apply, in the lower-right corner of the screen.

If so they are all checked, I would next restart the computer, Apple TV, and iPhone and try again.
If the issue persists next I would recreate your iTunes library.

Yahoo messenger no longer shows up in yahoo mail after Ver 9 update.

I use my yahoo mail for email and yahoo messenger. It worked well until the update to version 9 of Firefox. The messenger part does not show up in my yahoo email now. Other people can still see that I am online as they will send me an IM and the tab bar will flash that I have a message from a contact, but I have to open up the actual yahoo messenger program to get the message. How can I fix this?

I do not use any bookmarklets or addons currently and have not in the past. I unintentionally told my browser to delete that e-mail address when I was signing on, the other 2 addresses remain as an auto complete selection. I no longer get the option to remember the deleted address and must type it and the password each time I sign on. My other computer is fine and I get to select from 3 addresses when I sign on to Yahoo mail. I would like to do the same on this computer without reloading my firefox browser.

This last week (of 17 Sep 12) I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 6 and now my Yahoo mail does not work. I keep getting a "Yahoo server busy" message. This problem has not effected the update to my iPad 3 - it works fine. In addition, I have deleted and added my Yahoo mail - same result. Same here, albeit with a 3G and both a work Exchange account and personal Gmail are out of action. Reentered my password on the Gmail to no avail.
Unfortunately it seems that increased success has come too fast to Apple, it's starting to display Microsoft-like behaviors, e.g., releasing stuff and letting the customers serve as the beta / guinea pigs.

Yahoo mail issues on iPad mini and iPhone 5s/ iOS8?

Yahoo mail suddenly shows "no mail" in the inbox. Using the Yahoo! SMTP Server on iPad mini w/Retina, iPhone 5S, both with iOS 8. Tried rebooting, deleting and re-installing yahoo. I can still send. Yahoo mail on mac, mobile web, and yahoo downloadable app works. I have resorted to downloading the Yahoo mobile app. Any suggestions on getting the device mail to work again?

I have the same problem. At the bottom of the inbox window, it momentarily says "Downloading 1 of 250" then quickly changes to "Updated Just Now" without displaying any email. All other folders show mail!!! Only the inbox does not display email. I have also tried hard-resetting the iPhone.

Yahoo mail no longer working with IPad

My ipad is no longer keeping copies of the yahoo emails I leave in my Inbox. It's only downloading New emails and once those have been opened they are no longer accessible. The other mail accounts that I have set up on IPad still work find. Any ideas?

Have you looked at the advanced setting for you Yahoo mail account. There you can select when you want read emails to be deleted. Options vary from Never to one day. Maybe it changed somehow

Yahoo mail has suddenly disappeared from my iPhone 5 inbox

I've had Yahoo email on my AT&t iPhone 5 for a year. Yesterday, with no action on my part, and no changes to the settings on my iPhone, all my Yahoo emails disappeared from my iPhone inbox, and no new emails sent to my Yahoo email address are appearing there. The Gmail inbox on my phone is fine. I can access my Yahoo mail on a browser, but not on in my iPhone inbox. I have reset network settings, deleted my Yahoo mail account, re-booted the iPhone, and re-added the Yahoo account. Nothing helps. I have no idea if the problem resides with Apple, Yahoo, or AT&T. Has anyone had the same problem? What can I do?

Yahoo's servers are notoriously bad. Yahoo will have to fix the problem. It's not an Apple problem, or an AT&T problem (except for the fact that AT&T chose to contract their email service out to one of the worst providers on the planet).
Try downloading and using the Yahoo mail app from the app store.

BT Yahoo mail no longer syncs between two iMac and MacBook

I've used BT Yahoo Mail on an iMac, Macbook and iPad successfully for some time with IMAP settings. Following recent upgrades, the inbox is no longer kept in sync on the different computers. Messages read on one computer are not marked as read on the other, and newly arrived incoming mail is not displayed on the second computer, having appeared on the first. The only solution seems to be to rebuild the mailbox - tedious as it takes time, and you don't know until you try whether there is mail to be synced.
I'm using Mail 6.5 (1508) on the iMac, and Mail 5.3 (1283) on the MacBook.
Is there any solution to this please?

Yahoo mail ,using ff shows resolutions not high enough but works withchrome

When I log into Yahoo mail I get a popup stating my computer resolutions are too low. Nothing has changed. I can log in OK using Chrome.or Google on this same computer.

Hmm, maybe... Firefox changes the resolution reported to websites based on your zoom level. Could you try reducing your zoom a notch (hold down the Ctrl key and tap the - key) to see whether that makes a difference? When you reload the Yahoo page, use Crl+Shift+r to force a full reload and bypass any cached files.

Give it time. Yahoo has had persistent issues the past few weeks. wait 24 hours or so and then try again.

Well it depends on what webmail client you're using. If you're using yahoo, then there is no way to do it. I asked them a couple of years ago and they replied back that they had no plans in the future for the option embed a picture in their mail. if you're using Hotmail, there is a program called Live Mail Client that will let you embed a picture in your email but it's only for Windows. Maybe in the Future they will build one for Mac OS's. Not sure about Gmail.

G-Mail No Longer "PUSHING" on The iPhone?

Upgraded to the 4S and I noticed that my G-Mail is no longer pusshing like before. It works just fine if I set it for hourly, but I prefer the Push which used to work. Does anybody know if this was from the 5.0.1 upgrade or did gmail stop pushing?

Since I got the replacement phone, I didn't plug it to any computer, it was setup using the phone itself, I just use my apple account and regular sim to activate the phone via wi-fi. Now after the initial setup. I added my YAHOO, GMAIL and ME accounts, I sent a few test email to the three email accounts using email other than the mentioned above, now I was able to revieve notifications, in less that a minute, even though the phone is locked as I hear the "ding" sound. now after several successful attempts, I restarted the phone(not hard reset). Without even quiting the "Mail" app, After rebooting, even though Mail is still running on the background I still open it just to make sure that it is running. Now After locking the phone I tried to send several emails without opening the phone, after 15 mins has lapsed, since I set the fetch to 15mins, nothing happens, I did not recieve any email. So I tried sending again some emails while Im using the phone(in this case calling and texting that means the phone is active and running) dispite all of this I never get any emails until I open the Mail app... "walaaaa! I got new mails... what brilliant notification!"
So tell me please do you think this is a bad installation or not? take note the phone doesn't have any contacts or address.
And take note also that I've been using 3Gs for 2 years already and I'm pretty sure that I know exactly what is going on with this 4s
Non of these had happend to me when I was using 3Gs.
