Yahoo! Mail on N79 keeps refreshing completely
My Yahoo IMAP push-mail on my N79 Nokia, it used to work quite perfect until monday or so. Since then, everytime I connect to my mailbox, it starts reloading every message into my mailbox (all folders, but always a maximum of 10 or 15 for 2 folders with the rest empty), which means I loose all the content I just retreived.
So the first time I see all my messages in the folder, then I choose Connect and all emails are disappearing shortly, after which the emails start to be loaded (Header only) into the inbox, one by one.
Some recent checks/changes/settings:
It's peculiar that these last days, the account remains connect for much longer times than formerly.
Automatic retrieval is disabled as it has always been.
I have 2 email accounts, checked them both. I added a Sync-email account. I removed all accounts and reinstalled only 1 account. I deselected the other folders except so only the Inbox is showing. I checked the settings with Nokia and Yahoo-website. Nothing changed.
We had a connection-outage of my provider last monday in the Netherlands, I remember I switched around in my Packet Data connection settings to see what was wrong but I saved the Packet Data-settings from the provider again.
Did a firmware-check, no updates but I still re-installed the firmware via OVI suite.
I am using the free Yahoo service, don't hope I have to switch to Yahoo Plus suddenly (because everything used to work perfectly until this week).
Just found a solution that worked for me: 1) delete the email-inbox on our phone 2) create a new account, but MISSPELL the ending of your mail-adress (-> yuhuu.com or t-noline.de) so the nokia configurator can NOT automatically download settings, instead you need to type them in manually in the next step) 3) now define your correct mail adress, your password, the inbox- and outbox settings (e.g. pop.mail.yahoo.com, smtp.mail.yahoo.com)... 4) connect *problem solved* seems like the automatic settings always define IMAP , but lately there's some bugs. POP works fine with me because i always manually let my phone search for new mails in my yahoo account.

Can someone tell me why the Yahoo mail server (IMAP) keeps requesting my Yahoo email password and says it's incorrect? Yahoo is my Mac mail server. This has happened before, but this time I can't get it to 'Cancel'.

When using rogers.yahoo mail, I need to refresh my screen after every 2-3 actions.
While using Rogers.yahoo mail in FireFox, the screen freezes after every 2-3 actions (read email, delete email, respond to email, move email to folder etc.). I have to refresh the screen and then it goes along for another 2-3 actions and I have to refresh again. Very frustrating. I opened the same email account in Google Chrome and IE and it works fine there. This started happening yesterday.
In perhaps an unrelated thing, I get this error message every day, once, when I start up my PC for the past 2 months:

I am able to log in to Yahoo mail but it keeps asking me for my password every 2 or 3 mins
I have Mac. Since I have updated to firefox 13.0.1 I have trouble with my yahoo mail. I am able to log in but it keeps asking me to type my password every 2 mins. the exact line is this below.

One possible cause, at least on Windows, is your proxy settings. If you check this deeply buried dialog, you may be able to correct it:
Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network
Click the "Settings" button and choose either "No Proxy" or "Use System Settings" option, and OK the change. See whether that helps.

Yahoo mail on playbook mail. Keeps asking for password
For about two weeks now, for no obvious reason, my imap yahoo mail on the playbook mail keeps asking for my password!
I tried deleting and re setting up yahoo mail, but it keeps happening, its driving me nuts. Only with yahoo, not gmail or hotmail.
Any ideas?What is the flashing screen you mention? It that the boot up screen you are talking about?

I think iphone 4 deals with mail account in an impressive way unlike the macbook pro. Because my yahoo mail account had been synced completely with all its emails and folders on the iphone 4.
BUT with Macbook pro, nothing happened even it told me that please make sure of your password. N.B. I know my password....
My question is can I have all my emails synced in my new macbook pro with all its folders. ?

Ahmad.Thanks, You know..... it happened with me once before when I first use the windows live mail client.... I contacted yahoo staff and they replied with the same as you replied......( I thought that there is way to do what I wanted )...
By the way they advised me, if I wanted to get my folders .... I have to MOVE messages from specific folder to INBOX then SYNC imail then CREATE folder in imail with the same name as in my yahoo and so on !!!!
OK, if there are ways to sync the WINDOWS LIVE MAIL accounts and its folders, it will be great..... Does anyone know HOW TO ? -
I am having problems with my E71 mail client synching to my Yahoo Mail account (I have the "pay" version of Yahoo Mail). It keeps giving me a bunch of stuff that I have deleted in yahoo, and in fact keeps shoing it as new messages, even when I change them to "Read" on the phone. I need to either fix the synch problem or delete the Yahoo access from the phone. Either is fine, given that there are plenty of other ways to get to Yahoo Mail without the Nokia client.

This morning it took about 2 hours for the yahoo mail to sync. Got a call back tonight and they've done something because the deleted emails came off the handheld. But looks like its off again.

Every time I use the sideshow feature of Yahoo Mail, it locks out the Yahoo Mail when I try to exit the sideshow feature and I have to sign completely sign out of Firefox to have the feature restored. Even using the refresh key, it removes this feature and causes it to act as though I am not authorized to view the feature. Is there something that I need to set?
I think the problem lays with Last.fm. I had the same exact problem as you. In your processes screen, end the task "lastfmhelper.exe" Last.fm still scrobbles. The tracks don't skip, although I notice there is still a bit of a lag in the first part of the song - but if you can deal with that, no skipping. I think you will have to end that task everytime you boot up your computer, or uninstall last.fm completely until they fix it; it is a bug in their software, as opposed to iTunes.

Perform a hard reboot
Hold down the Home button and Power button on your iPhone or iPad and keep holding them until you see the Apple logo. Once you do, you can let go. When your device boots back up, go ahead and check to see if the apps have started re-downloading. If they still appear to be stuck, continue on. -

If you use extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) like <i>Adblock Plus</i> or <i>NoScript</i> or <i>Flash Block</i> that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

You can use one of these to start Firefox in <u>Safe mode</u>:

Hi, incorrect previously used e-mail address suggestions keep appearing in my Yahoo! ID box when signing in. I can't get rid of them. I've tried clearing the cache and cookies. I couldn't find an option to clear private data, don't know if that would work. My Yahoo password is not saved and my password is not the problem. I just want to know how to delete previously used emails from logging in suggestions so they stop appearing, hope you can help, cheeeers - Dave.

What I'm trying to achieve... my client had 5 powerpoint presentations that need updating with new branding (totally about 160 pages - with about 20 basic animations - i.e. flashing lights on products etc).
I sold him on the idea of using InDesign/PDF rather than powerpoint - but am needing to find an easy solution for the animations. So I've been working on this test file. Have self taught myself on a basic flash animation (from Lynda.com)... and tried importing both SWF and QT .MOV into InDesign and then exporting to PDF and when it loaded up in Acrobat it would always "unexpectedly quit" upon opening... even after trying different versions of PDF compatibility and restarting etc.
Is there something obvious that I'm not doing right?
Also if I get it to work, does that mean that my client and all their staff around the world will need to be Acrobat Reader 9?
