Yahoo mail sign-in - Freeze with 'ask me everytime' cookie setting.

* Shockwave Flash 10.1 r102
* Next Generation Java Plug-in 1.6.0_23 for Mozilla browsers
* NPRuntime Script Plug-in Library for Java(TM) Deploy

All plugs disabled - Problem continues.
All Extensions disabled - Problem continues.
All removed - Problem continues.
No themes installed.
Obvious solution - Change the cookie setting. Which I have done... however I think it's worth asking about.

I have the same problem, but I found a way around it. Before opening mail.yahoo.com in a tab, to to Tools -> Options. Under the Privacy tab, click the "Exceptions" button. Type in "login.yahoo.com" and click the "Allow" or "Allow for session" button. Do the same for "login.mail.yahoo.com". It's not a fix, but it will get you back into your mail!

  • Yahoo mail new emails freeze with v13.0.1

Since yesterdays (6/20/12) Firefox update to v 13.0.1 I haven't been able to write a new email using Yahoo mail. Symptoms are:
-The autocomplete feature for addresses doesn't work
-It takes a long time ~ 3 minutes with the message "loading attachment updater" for the applet that attaches files to emails to load.
    - And then Firefox freezes and I have to use the Apple "force quit" feature to exit Firefox.
Yahoo mails works fine if I use Safari.

  • Firefox shows wrong clickable email address on yahoo mail sign in field when I type first letter. explorer gets it right.age

When I type the first letters into the sign in box on the Yahoo Mail sign in page via my latest edition Firefox browser, (on Windows Vista) my clickable Hotmail address shows in the drop down box instead of my Yahoo address, (Both begin with the same word.) so I then need to always type in my correct Yahoo address to sign in. Internet Explorer gets it right, making me think it's a browser issue.
I've tried the settings in Yahoo, and everything in Firefox Tools/Options I can think of. Thanks for any help!

  • Downloaded Firefox 4.0, get server error 404 & can't access Yahoo mail. It opens with Explorer & on desktop with Mozilla 3

Downloaded Firefox 4.0, to Dell Lat D630 on 4/9/11
Get server error 404 & can't access Yahoo mail.
It opens with Explorer & on networked desktop with Mozilla 3.6
tried all fixes suggested by Support @ Customer Service
No resolution to the access problem today 4/21/11. Do I reinstall 3.6 & delete 4.0? I understand this access problem is common to 4.0 users.

I did some additional testing through Proxy 4. All web sites and web pages including secure sites that I tried accessing over the past couple of days all appear to work fine with the exception of the forementioned sites. Access to these specific web pages (which I cannot currently access) are part of our day-to-day business requirements, and therefore will prevent me from using Proxy version 4.0 as our production proxy unless I can figure out why these web pages won't load, and how to fix the problem.
As an experiment, I tried to access these web pages through Proxy 4 with Mozilla FireFox and Netscape 7. None of these web browsers (including Internet Explorer) will bring up these web pages when going through Proxy 4. But bypassing the proxy or going through our v3.6 proxy works fine for these web pages everytime, and with all browsers. This leads me to believe that this web page access problem is not a browser specific problem, but something in Proxy 4 isn't processing the request to display the page properly.
As a reference, the web site in question is http://www.sunlife.ca. On the left hand side of the page go to "Sign In" then "Plan Members". Thats where the request hangs through Proxy 4 no matter which browser I use, including Netscape... but works perfectly fine with Proxy v3.6.
Can someone who is running a version 4 Proxy also please try to access the SunLife Members login page and see if it works or fails for you?
    Thanks

  • When I open a slde show in New Yahoo Mail I can't get back to Yahoo. When I click on the "back to Yahoo" button, the screen freezes with a gray cast over it and I have to use the back button and forward button to get back to my inbox.

This problem started immediately after I upgraded to Firefox 9.0.1
If I open my inbox in my New Yahoo Mail, then open an email with attachments and then open the attachments to "view as a slide show"....I can't close the slide show and return to the email by clicking on the "return to Yahoo" button. If you click on it, it returns to the first pic shown, and if you click on it again, the pics disappear and a gray haze appears over most of the screen but none of the features under the gray screen work. I have found that if I hit the back page and then forward page buttons, I can get back to my inbox eventually, but this is a terrible "pain in the ass"!

  • Why isn't yahoo mail sign in page not loading from any browsers on desktop?

I am experiencing this problem from yesterday where the page stops loading when I click on yahoo mail. It stops right at the sign in page with a blank page, thus I am unable to access yahoo mail. I have tried different browsers and even different users, after clearing cache, cookies and internet history. I did notice I am able to access yahoo mail without any trouble from a different pc altogether and from a mobile device. I assumed the problem would be fixed overnight but it's still not working. I have never experienced this problem before. Please help. Thank you.

  • I cannot login to Yahoo mail on my Mac with firefox, but I can with Safari.

I am running Firefox 3.6 on Mac. I have had no problems until yesterday when it stopped allowing me to login to Yahoo mail. I can login using Safari on the same laptop, so I know there is no problem with my mail account or computer. When I look at the error message it says it looked for "*" but could not find it. How do I get "*" and if I do will that fix the problem?

  • Yahoo Mail: on Mac Pro (keeps asking for my password and then doesn't work)

I have used Yahoo Mail through my Mac Pro Mail Account for years and enjoyed fine service.
For the last few months, the Mac Mail says I have the wrong password, and it won't allow me to access
    mail.
If I change the password, it will work for a while (days) and the cycle starts all over again.
Sometimes, I stop using Mac Mail and use Yahoo off the web, and then suddenly Mac Mail will start working
    on its own again.
I read a thread for earlier in the year and tried every single thing suggested - this still happens
I have used Yahoo mail for 22 years - but maybe it is time to switch?
Gmail never has this problem...but I use the Yahoo mail for my business, my friends, and groups.
    Anyone with a working solution?
PS: My Yahoo email ALWAYS 100% of the time works on my iphone, and ipad...this only happens on my Mac Pro.

You don't have a Mac Pro (*65lb tower) but a notebook.
There is a support page and setup wizard to help plus links to support articles and community.
you may have to rebuild mail index or see if you can export, (re)move the existing mail folder and setup a new one and import old mail. Mail does and can have its issues for sure.

  • Yahoo mail has stopped working with ff, but ok with safari?

Yahoo mail home page is mostly blank, and the options dropdown tab just reverts to the mail home page again. In the small mail inbox window on the same page, I can see messages, but when I ask to see the whole message, the almost blank page opens again. None of my contacts or folders are visible either. However everything seems ok on Safari. What's going on? I've been using Firefox for mac and Yahoo's home page for years.
I've updated to FF 9.0.1 and tried all the troubleshooting I could find; no joy. Also, I've discovered that the RSS feed on the BBC is corrupted, and, some other of my regular websites are not loading properly as usual

Upgrade your browser to Firefox 9 and check

  • Yahoo mail no longer working with IPad

My ipad is no longer keeping copies of the yahoo emails I leave in my Inbox. It's only downloading New emails and once those have been opened they are no longer accessible. The other mail accounts that I have set up on IPad still work find. Any ideas?

  • Yahoo Mail delete function freezes

When checking off Yahoo Mail for delete (10 to 20). Clicking delete, will most of the time do the delete. When a large amount of e mails are checked for delete, 30 or so, clicking delete will fade the selected e mails but nothing more happens. Only solution I have found, exit Firefox, re-enter the Firefox Browser, recheck the same e mail and try delete again. Usually works the second time. I do not have the time to check e mail twice for delete as there are over 1,000 per day. Windows 8.1.
This function works without any problem in Chrome, which I now use to read Yahoo Mail.

    Hi,
Bit of a guess here but the new Yahoo mail had lots of performance issues.
