Yahoo Messages Not Pushing Through.

I have a Droid Razr M and have been having an issue with my Yahoo app not pushing my emails through since Tuesday afternoon. If I open the app it'll update and my emails will be there but they're not coming through on their own. Two came through this morning then nothing.
Anyone else having this problem? Is it a Yahoo thing?

Thanks for reaching out. It is very important to get your emails in a timely fashion. Let's get them up and running. Since you are using the app, I would recommend deleting the app and reinstalling it. Most times, when your device goes through a system update; the app is not updated. This causes an incompatibility with your device. Once you delete it and reinstall it, it will fix the issue. Let us know if we can help with anything else.

My iPhone 5 is not pushing through notifications properly. The screen lights up but there is no sound alert or banner it may or may not be followed by a sound alert and / or banner or the sound alert may come twice even after the text/ email/ app notification has been checked. Buying a bundle doesn't mean that your device will work aborad you need to make sure roaming is enabled on your account.
If you have a EE extra plan you still need to make sure roaming is enable on your account your plan only gives you free/cheaper calls when abroad.
If your wanting to enable roaming on your account there could be a deposit to pay if you haven't had the device for about 6 months.
Unless you have paid the deposit then roaming is not enabled on your account.
You need to activate roaming on your account by calling 150 from your device or from a landline 01707 315000 before you leave the UK.
But you can still do this if you are abroad.
If you have had the device/contract for 6 months or over you can login to your online account and turn on roaming yourself
Manage this device>Usage controls>Roaming abroad - Allow and Call abroad and turn it on. If the option is not there you need to call
It can take 24 hours to activate
If you had this device/contract for under 6 months you need to call customer services on +44 7953 966250 from a landline.
Once you have activated roaming you can then use this link to see what cost there is and what bundles you can have.

I think the 200 'limit' is just what will be fetched initially - if you have more than 200 then if you scroll down to the bottom of them there should be a 'load more messages' option.

hello guys.. so till today i am having error with my email.. i have a yahoo account set up.. and It does not push the Mail as soon as it arrives.. so i went to general and reset.. and reset the NETWORK settings then i tried sending a email from my hotmail account to yahoo account.. and it got pushed right away then i went and tried again then it didint work.. so everytime i reset the network setting it works for the first time and then it doesnt push again.. Why is that?? is there a way to fix this please help

One thing I have found to work for me is to force quit the mail app. Hold the home button down until it takes you back to the home screen.
I do this each time I look at or send mail and it has been working so far.

SMS messages not getting through

using iOS 5.0.1 on a 3GS. If I have iMessaging turned on and I text someone who has a phone other than an iPhone, they don't get the text. I DO have the "Send as SMS when iMessage is unavailable" button checked. I also DO select the person's mobile phone number, NOT their email, when I'm texting them. I have experimented several times just now with a friend and they are NOT getting texts from me. This seems like an awfully basic, awfully serious, awfully annoying bug.
I am now in the middle of experimenting to see if I can text at all if it's not iMessaging. I have turned iMessaging off, and as far as I can tell my texts are STILL not getting through. So, as far as I can tell, there is no way for me to text now. What's the problem?

I'm on Fido/Rogers (Canada) not AT&T, so my experience may not be applicable. But I have found in the past that older versions of SIM cards would not work properly in newer phones, and vice versa. Not just iPhones, but in general. SIM cards have different capabilities, varying amounts of internal memory, and different interface specs. It's plausible that the vintage of SIM that shipped with your 3G (or whatever you had before) might be slightly incompatible with the 3GS.
Another gotcha that I've encountered is the phone number (server address) of the SMSC that is programmed into the SIM. Large wireless carriers often (usually) have a number of different SMSCs distributed around their network. It's possible that they changed your designated SMSC. If your SIM still points at the old SMSC (and AT&T has moved you to a different one), that might explain your SMS problems. On the other hand, if the SIM you are using is the one that shipped from AT&T with your 3GS, then this is probably a red herring. Still, I think it would be useful to put the SIM into a non-iPhone and see if you can send/receive texts, just to verify that it's not a network problem.
Programming of the proper SMSC into one's SIM card can be done over the air -- the carrier sends a specially-formatted SMS message to the phone, and the phone then updates the data in the SIM card. You might call AT&T and ask them to do so.
I'm grasping at straws here. SIM vintage and/or SMSC configuration might have nothing to do with your problem.

Yahoo Mail not working through 3G

Hi, For some strange reason my Yahoo account is no longer able to send via 3G.. Works fine via wifi. But if wifi is off, or i'm not around a wifi spot, it just sits on trying to send before eventually spitting back a message saying unable to send..
Works absolutely fine with my other accounts and my exchange account JUST YAHOO it is unable to send.. BUT works fine via wifi ???
Anyone else having the same issues as me?

Did not work. Besides it will not allow me to turn off Yahoo SMTP.
I've already tried the deleting of the account..
But as i said the weird thing is it works FINE via wifi, just not through 3G
I guess next step is to wipe the phone. BUT really what i would like to hear from someone is that Yahoo mail is actually working for them via 3G, i want to know if i'm alone in this or if its a problem since the new 3.0.1 update?
If thats the case, then no point wiping down my phone putting it out of actiion for two hrs and then having to restore everything.

Yahoo Mail not pushing/fetching; account not visible after reactivation

For the past 48 hours, my Yahoo account has not automatically pushed any mail, and the only way I could get it to check was to reboot the phone.
Today I tried deactivating the yahoo account on the iPhone 3G, and reactivating. Nothing happened, except that the Account did not reappear after reactivating. Just the splash screen with all the options.
This is not good. Looks like another reinstall?!?

What is the deal, messages that I send are not going to the recipient, calls are dropped, used my geek squad insurance and have replaced the phone 3 times and got a new sim card too. must be something i am doing or not doing to cause this. Any suggestions?????

Yahoo mail not pushing all of the sudden?

I checked my settings and everything is set to push, no changes have been made. I would say it has been happening for the last day and a half's worth of email. I know the email is there, I checked yahoo on my computer. The mail wont even cycle to my iphone when I refresh it and I have even reset the phone..........
Anyone else having the same issues or have an idea what might be going on???

Just had the same problem with Yahoo mail. I tried deleting the account a couple of times without any luck. I then decided to delete the account and then reboot the phone. I then added the account and all is fine now. Not sure if this an Apple or Yahoo issue?

Emails not pushing through

I have the iPhone 3GS (for not even a year yet). I recently did the latest firmware update. But the last 2 or 3 days, my email doesn't seem to be coming through. My settings have always been set to Push and Manually. I never changed anything. I tried setting it to Every 15 Minutes. Not much of a change. They just don't seem to be coming through. I've rebooted the phone several times. If I go into my Inbox, it will just sit at Connecting....and I watch my battery life drop and drop. Any ideas? This is pretty annoying.

I’m sorry to hear that your emails do not appear to be syncing with your iPhone! I’d be happy to help! If no emails reach your device, it may point to an issue with connecting to the server. A setting may have changed on the provider’s end.
I would recommend first attempting to remove the synced account on your device. To do so:
From the Home screen, navigate: Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
From the Accounts section, tap an email account.
Tap Delete Account.
Tap Delete Account or Delete from My iPhone to confirm.
Now we can re-add the account by following these steps:
Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Tap the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" tab.
Tap "Add Account..."
Choose the type of account you want to add.
Follow the on-screen prompts to sign in to your account

IPhone messages not going through

I woke up this morning and all of a sudden I can't receive texts or send texts to anyone not using an iPhone. If I try to send a text to someone that doesn't have an iPhone I will get one of those red exclamation points and it will say Message Failure, same goes for people trying to text me with a phone other than an iPhone, they get the Message Failure sign too but I get no indication that they're trying to text me.
I tried turning off the iMessage and that didn't help. I turned my phone off and on, didn't help. I don't know what else to do? Thanks!

Yahoo mail not coming through

I upgraded my first-gen iPhone to 2.0, and now the phone won't retrieve Yahoo mail. Oddly, the phone is only showing emails dating back to 6/15. It attempts to connect to the mail server, but never downloads new mail. I've tried powering off the phone, but that didn't work.
Has anyone else experienced this type of problem?

My iPhone has been "stuck in stupid" several times a day in regards to downloading email since the new software. I've had this happen before...but never several times a day, every day. Anyhow, try turning off the phone for a second and see if that gives your phone what it needs to go fetch those emails.
I'm still having problems with my phone in lots of areas. I wish I'd never downloaded the new iTunes and new iPhone software. Everything was great before that......
