Yahoo Messenger Screen - How to get rid??

With my Blackberry Pearl 8100, when I connect to the Internet I get a yahoo Messenger Installation screen EVERYTIME, wanting me to install some software/update! It's not a massive problem as I can just hit the menu button, and select "Go to..." and put my webaddress in there, but it woudl be much neater if I coudl stop getting this Yahoo screen, and go direct to my selected homepage.
Any ideas?
I've tried installing the Yahoo messanger, which was successful (I think, not that I use it!) but I still get the yahoo screen each time I connect to the Internet.

if you are not using Yahoo Messenger, go to Option > advance options > applications and remove those Yahoo related applications. Also go to options> advance options> service books and delete those yahoo related SB.

Stripes on screen - how to get rid of them?

Help! Since the day before yesterday, my Imac has been showing little stripes on the screen. They look like barcodes, and they're one pixel in width. Now click on the Color button.
Check Display Profile
Is Show profiles for this display only enabled or disabled?
If necessary click on the Calibrate button & do the necessary.
Now in the bottom right corner, click on the purple button w/the black ? mark in the middle. This will bring up the help window.
Midway down, click on the Colorsync Utility link.
The next window should be Profile First Aid.
Read & follow the instructions/details of About Profile First Aid: & do the necessary to Verify & Repair.

Dirt around screen - how to get rid of it?

I have a problem with my 2-weeks old MacBook. Today under direct light I saw something on the mat white around the LCD screen. Please take a look at this image:

I tried to remove it using water and a cloth, but that didn't work. Anyone got an idea how I can remove that? I really have no idea how it got there perhaps it already was there right out of the factory.. Thanks in advance for answering!

Thanks for your reply. I think I will take the Macbook to an Apple Store before I will do something like this, though. Hopefully they will acknowledge the problem, even although it is something small. But I can annoy myself to things like that, because you do see it in well-lit rooms or in daylight.

Guest user account showing on login screen - how to get rid of it.

I'll answer your second sentence, as I don't understand the end of the first.
You're probably being asked for an administrator username and password to take the action of disabling your guest account. Try entering that.

I got an address from Applecare, although I can't place my hand on it right now. I didn't bother persuing the letter route myself as I didn't expect much. I know that the location was Cork, Ireland though as that where the UK Applecare is based as far as I'm aware. The best thing to do is to call Applecare (if it's free) and discuss the issue. State that you are not happy wit the fact that you will have to pay to have the problem resolved especiiay if it is an ongoing problem that has not been resolved. I ended up speaking to a senior manager of the Applecare team who then proceeded to tell me about mailing in my grievence to customer services division or something like that.
If I can find the address I may post it if I'm allowed.
In the case of age, Schools usually have a 5-year life-cycle as they tend to be used differently than consumer machines, i.e. being used constantly on a daily basis for at least 12 hours with no break. you would expect issues to appear after a few years, but I expect problems that arise through defects to be resolved and stay resolved. As I mentioned we had machines for around 2 years before the lines appeared and sent them to be repaired. I'm happy with that. What I am unhappy about is the fact that the problem has reappeared exactly in the same way and now I'm left with around 7 machines that I either pay loads to repair or, the more likely replace the machines with newer ones since the age is now big enough to warrant the replacement.
Sorry for the lengthy moan, but these are the reasons I purchased Apple ahrdware in the first place to avoid the "not our problem" stance some PC vendors usually take, similar to the Dell monitors thread mentioned in here somewhere.

I am trying to figure out how to get rid of the SAP BPC "three globes" startup screen when we start BPC. I do not want it to pop up.
I looked at VBA behind the workbooks but could not find anything. Could not make the sheet invisible.

OK then, now v7sp03 for microsoft has hit the shelves, you can change the logo !!!
It is quite easy.
Have the logo file ready in either BMP, GIF or JPG format.
Put it in your "Server Install -> DataWebFolders[Appset]" folder (so where you keep your files).
In ApplicationSet parameters, add the parameter COMPANY_LOGO and in the options type the name of the file you just put on the server.
Now if you restart BPC for Excel, the second excel page that pops up should be showing your new logo or graphic (mine did).
The use of the logo has been documented in the admin manual -> working with appset parameters
Some tips.
I wanted not to clutter the filesystem so i put my logo in the appsetpublications folder and added the path accordingly in the parameter (so now it reads appsetpublicationslogoname.jpg instead of just logoname.jpg).
If you do not supply a name (only the parameter), your second Excel window (normally holding the graphic) will not appear. That could be an alternative too if you find that whole thing annoying.

This sounds more like a Windows question, than a Firefox question. When you say that an image shows up every time you open your computer, do you mean every time you turn on your computer, or every time you start Firefox?

How to get rid of shadowed border around screen on MacBook Pro?

Just wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of this shadowed border on the screen of my macbook pro. I think my young daughter made it appear when she was striking various keys at random on my computer when I was not there. The cursor does not work when its over the shadow (i.e. will not depress the red 'x' button to exit a window and I have to drag window out from under shadow to close it).
It also appears in the middle of screen when airplay is turned on. (See screen shots below)
I have been unable to find any other discussion on this issue.

If the third link you posted (the link containing the word "majority") does not look like the following then you inadvertently installed adware.
That particular page should resemble the following:

Chances are you downloaded something that was made by a third party to "enhance" your web experience but really they just screwed you over, YOU CAN CHOOSE TO SIMPLY UNINSTALL ANY EXTENSIONS PUT ON YOUR COMPUTER BY CLICKING INSTALL, BUT TO BE SURE THAT THIS IS THE ROOT OF YOUR PROBLEM IN THE SECOND COLUMN SIMPLY CLICK ON THE UNDERLINED NAME OF WHO THE EXTENSION IS MADE BY IF CLICKING THE LINK BRINGS UP A YAHOO PAGE THIS IS THE SOURCE OF YOUR ISSUES AND SIMPLY UNINSTALLING THIS WILL RID YOU OF THIS DUMB PROBLEM!!
