Yahoo recommends firefox upgrade to enjoy new features but will not upgrade and will not let me log in until i do so.
Asus laptop running windows 7. Has recently come up with message "yahoo recommends you upgrade your browser to enjoy all the features in the new yahoo mail" Clicking on the upgrade box does nothing. Clicking on the "continue without upgrading" box does nothing so i am now unable to access emails on my laptop.
I wonder what version of Firefox Yahoo thinks you have?? There are some add-ons which can modify or block browser information. To see whether that might be relevant, could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset)
Any difference?
Also, Yahoo's changes have obsoleted many old bookmarks. If you are accessing Yahoo! mail using a bookmark, try letting Yahoo redirect you to its currently preferred server from a generic address like this one
https://mail.yahoo.com/
or from the Yahoo home page.

Just upgraded my old iWeb app to version 3.0.4 from an iLife 11 disk. I like some of the newer features but it seems to have one glitch: when I upload the pages to my ftp server, the automatic navigation bar at the top of the page disappears. Any ideas? Thanks.

It says"this cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone"Try checking your cable socket/lightning cable for dirt, grime, pocket lint, etc. I could not find the solution to this issue myself and after much searching I found someone stating that cleaning this out helped them immensely.
After taking a wooden toothpick (making sure the phone was OFF first) and gently clearing out the edges and inside of the lightning socket this went away.) It is worth noting that I had a significant amount of dust or lint buildup along the edge rails which I think was causing the iphone to believe it was plugged into something when it was not.
Try it and see, ensure you are very careful and do not use any conductive tools to clean the area in question. Compressed air also does wonders here. -
So, my IPod touch is running 5.1.1 and is slow and sometimes unresponsive. According to Apple it will not update to iOS 6. It is a 32GB, 3rd Generation. I want the new features but it's making me mad. I do not want to jailbreak. As this would void my device from Apple. I love the features iOS 6 has to offer but I don't want to put out anymore money. IPods are expensive enough, Should I use blobs? Or would that make my device worse. Plus I do not want to pay $20.00 for a chat and have to wait all day to someone who I can't understand on the telephone. someone help me please.

I upgraded to the new IOS, but lost data and apps. When I try and restore the only backup I see is the one it made AFTER the lost data. How can I access an older backup from the cloud?
Why don't you talk to apple and find out if backup exists? That conversation with apple will stop your guessing.

You are entitled to keep Photoshop CC and install Photoshop CC 2014, so CC 2014 is not connected with additional costs and the time it takes to install the new version of Photoshop should not be that much of a imposition, should it? -
What older versions of PS Elements are compatible with my older iMac?? I'd like to upgrade to an newer version (eg. versions 7-10) that will run on my old iMac. Some versions are PC only.
And which model imac? Is it a G5 processor or Intel?

I have another computer that a virus may have taken over and I cannot log into it anymore. I just downloaded Itunes on a new computer but most of my songs are not on there. Is there a way to still access or find those songs? Remotely or another way? Or do I need to take it to a tech to get my files off of my hard drive?
Edit > Preferences > Store check Music under Automatic Downloads.
Open the iTunes Store from left hand column, then select Purchasedfrom the column on the right, click the Not In My Library button and select the tunes you want to download again.
That said, you seem to be under a misapprehension as to how iTunes works, or at least how it has worked in the past. It has, until recently, been up to you take care of your purchases once they have been downloaded. You had a one-time download which you were reminded to back up. With the recent change to this policy you can at least download your store purchases again, but having a personal backup of your iTunes store purchases, stuff purchased elsewhere and files ripped from your CDs will still be preferable to gathering all the stuff together again in the event of a disaster.

I need to update my phone, but my computer broke, and do not have a new one. can I use someone else computer to go through with the update if i log on with my itunes account or Is there a chance of loosing all my data, ie: music/photos? And if all else fails can i go to the apple store and have them update my phone?
Update to what? The 3G you want to update? You have ios3 or 4 on that 3G?

Make a backup of your stuff (from the phone. apps/photos/music/blabla). Update your phone. The phone will restore the backup automatically. -
Just Upgraded my IPOD 5 to iOS 7.0.2 and it will not charge the battery anymore.
When I plug it in, it now gives the message "This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this IPOD".
Anyone else have this issue after they upgraded the iOS system?

We have a 32 gb iPad, slow but sure. Just tried to do restore from cloud and now it's frozen. Shut off with power button and wake/sleep only and all I get is the apple symbol when I restart it. Stuck.
