Yahoo search results problem

We have two BM servers here. Older one Netware 6 sp5 w/ BM 3.7 sp3 that works well. A replacement that I have had up but not currently using much Netware 6.5 SP8 w/ BM 3.8 sp5. The latter one has a problem with Yahoo search results. If I point a workstation to the older NW6 BM it works fine in Bing, Google & Yahoo. If I point it to the NW6.5 BM then it will work fine in Bing and Google but in Yahoo it will return the results but when you click on any link there I get this message:
Yahoo!
Yahoo! - Help
The requested URL was not found on this server.
Please check the URL for proper spelling and capitalization. If you're having trouble locating a destination on Yahoo!, try visiting the Yahoo! home page or look through a list of Yahoo!'s online services. Also, you may find what you're looking for if you try searching below.
Any ideas? I have no access rules enforced. Anything that might be of help would be greatly appreciated.....Thank you!

I think this probably should be moved to the proxy portion of the forum - I am going to close this and start a new thread there. Sorry.....

  • CRM Search Results Problem

    Hello ,
I am facing one problem from past 3 days. in my SAP CRM System one user  can not see search results in CRP100 Inbox Search. CRM - Inbox search shows "no results found" when other users doing the same search get 17 pages of results.
Please give me the desirable solution for my problem.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Raju,
In inbox search criteria, please clear all the search fields. Also check the Quick Search fields too. If still its not coming then it is a authorization issue. Check with your security consultant.
You also can check it from ST01 transaction. It is same as ST05 SQL trace.
    Thanks

  • Search result problem in material master (MM03)

When I use either of the default text searches provided in MM03 (Advanced Search for Material Using Search Engine or Quick Search for Material using Search Engine), I get correct results from the search.   However, the first column in the results table, Material code, is blank for all the records.  All the other searches work correctly, but these two don't return the Material code, which is obviously required for this to be an effective search.
This seems like a bug.  Anyone else seen this?

ABAP team said it was an SAP problem and they needed to send a fix.  Started a call with SAP and they're saying it's something we did in configuring it.  I never configured it.  Wouldn't know where to go.
Is there configuration for the Advanced Search Engine?

  • Cannot parse Yahoo search results XML

I am trying to create an application that will query yahoo and return XML to parse and display on the screen. For some reason I cannot parse the XML. I have done it this way before, but for some reason it is not working now. Does anyone have any idea how to get this to work?
When I debug the data I can see the XML values in the searchXML object, but I cannot retrieve them. I have attached the XML that is returned. It appears to be messing up with I copy and paste it from IE into a file.

    1. Verify that you use the same proxy.cfg on both servers and the same
    settings like persistent connections.
    2. Compare both traces, the working one and the non working one. See if
the returned link from yahoo is the same on both traces and it is coming
from the same server. You may have another firewall/router up in the
    path causing the issue.
    3. Before taking the lan traces on the netware server using pktscan.nlm,
unload proxy, load proxy -cc to clear cache. Then take the traces and
see at what point the non working one differs from the working one.
check that info is coming from the same up server

  • Why on earth am I getting Yahoo coming up on search results - I don't want it!!! Change this madness

I have found a way using about:config to remove and put back to Google, however nothing has changed. From researching it seems that this is something that we have had no choice about, you have made yahoo an embedded article within Firefox - this is outrageous and totally unwanted by myself and many others - you should be ashamed - Yahoo even tells me that it has not authorised Hotmail or Google when I try and login into my hotmail and I have to get around that after being warned it might be harmful - I am livid with you guys, I have used Firefox for years and am astounded at this cheek! Change it back so we have a choice, meantime I am deinstalling Firefox, a trusted browser for years :(

Thanks for the response. I am 100% I only downloaded Firefox via Mozilla and I make sure every time that I check off any boxes that offer to give me Ask, Bing, Yahoo or any of those.
This link gives the exact issue and how to resolve, however, it has not solved it for me and Firefox still reverts to Yahoo search results.
    This is not good!

  • How do i remove yahoo search?

Despite having spent several hours searching fruitlessly on the internet, I still cannot find a quick and simple fix for removing Yahoo as the default Firefox search engine. I do not want rubbishy Yahoo search results. I want to use Google, and if Mozilla Firefox won't let me remove the Yahoo default and nominate Google, then I will walk away and use a different web browser.
There is no simple way to dump Yahoo as the default searcher on Firefox 25.0.1. There is no 'search engine preference' tab in the Firefox drop-down tab, and Yahoo does not show up in the add-ons or extensions list. Nor can I change settings in about:config in the browser.newtab.url line. It is almost as if Mozilla is making it impossibly hard for users to chose which search engine they want.
If Mozilla want to make users use Yahoo then they should clearly state that this when they install Firefox software. I do not like being manipulated in such a cynical way.
If anyone can show me how to easily change my settings so that Google becomes my default search engine then I will be grateful. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, so I fixed the issue I was having by uninstalling a program called '''"Search Protection" by Spigot, Inc.''' The user above named '''carlos_danger''' had the same issue as me. I installed uTorrent and after that my search engine for Firefox was set to Yahoo and would NOT change to Google, even after trying the about:config trick.
When I read that it could be some form of malware, I went to add/remove programs and sorted them by most recently installed. It was there that I noticed this "Search Protection" program and knew immediately that it was the problem. After uninstalling that, I went back into Firefox and deleted the Yahoo search (and all other searches besides Google) from my search providers.
I think it's really scummy for developers to hide malware like that in their installers. It really frustrated me because Yahoo search results are absolutely terrible and I would have rather switched to a different browser than use them. Unfortunately, I think this "Search Protection" by Spigot, Inc. infects all of your browsers, as the same thing happened in Chrome.
Anyway, go to your add/remove programs, sort by install date (most recent at the top), and look for any oddly named programs that may or may not have something to do with "search".
I have attached an image below of the application I removed.
    Hope this helps.

  • When clicked on Yahoo weather icon, Safari default search changes to Yahoo search. Would there be a fix for this?

    Hi Apple,
When I click on the Yahoo icon on weather app, it takes to safari as expected, but it changes the search engine to Yahoo (i have to go back to settings and change the search back to google). This for me is a usability issue. Do you have this issue in pipeline to be fixed?
    Thanks,
    Aditya

I'm not getting that behaviour at all.  It looks a bit like it's changed to Yahoo because you get a Yahoo search box in the webpage and it says "Yahoo search results..." at the top, but the search box within Safari is still Google.

  • How do I get rid of the yahoo search from firefox?

I use windows and firefox but when I type in a search a new tab opens with yahoo search results?

    Hello.
In order to change your Firefox Configuration please do the following steps :
    # In the [[Location bar autocomplete|Location bar]], type '''about:config''' and press '''Enter'''. The about:config "''This might void your warranty!''" warning page may appear.
    # Click '''I'll be careful, I promise!''' to continue to the about:config page.
    # In search bar, type: '''''browser.search.selectedEngine '''''
    # Click PPM on value, click Reset
    # Click PPM on value, click Modify and type: '''''Google'''''
Please post back with your results, we are happy to help.

  • New Yahoo Search Changes

I have always used Yahoo search; while Firefox had Google as the default, I would change it to Yahoo. I would sometimes try google but one of the things that annoyed me with Google was if you clicked on a link, that link would, by default, open on the same page forcing you to "go back" to see the list again. With Yahoo OTOH clicking on a link would always open in a new tab allowing me to more easily go back and forth between selected links.
Yes I know I can right click and open in a new tab but is there any way to get the old default behavior back where a normal left click on the Yahoo search results open in a new tab ? I have a condition which affects my right hand and using the right click button can sometimes be gets cumbersome at times.

It didn't work at first, but eventually got there.
    1. Your screenshot shows the method of selecting Yahoo as the default search provider. There is no option to "remove". I select Firefox Help and underneath uncheck Yahoo and all other providers and then set it as default.
    2. I then go to search.yahoo.com and try a search. It does work the way I wanted.... for whatever reason it wouldn't yesterday.
    3. I go to Go to http://mycroftproject.com/yahoo-search-plugins.html , scrolled down to 16. Major Engines , Yahoo! en-WW (search.yahoo.com) by Denny Kluge. This was what I had to do when Firefox 1st changed the default to Google.
    4. I added it and had two Yahoo's in the list, I checked the 2nd one. Add something in the search windows, hit the down arrow and elected Yahoo to search with. It didn't work, same behavior as before.
    5. I then changed to selecting Yahoo again as the default.
    6. Now here's the weird part .....
    a) With Yahoo selected as the default and letting it work as the default, it works as desired.
    b) With Yahoo selected as the default, but using the Yahoo selection as an option, it doesn't work.
I have since unchecked the Yahoo box in the list of "alternate search engines to display " while leaving it selected as the default selection. It's worked 3 times so far; hopefully it survives a close and reopen :)
Muchos Grassyass. I dreaded trying to find the mycroft site again as it took me quite a while the last time.

  • AE application window Search results

AE Application Window Search results problem.
I have a question on the upper right hand corner of the application window search box access AE community help. If I type and enter “fireball tutorial” a search is not performed and instead the result is the Adobe Community Help page with the download icons for all Adobe Products PDF offline Help. I want to Search Community Help from the application window search box, not the pdf help menu. My application window search is not showing the results of a search performed of a subset of the worldwide web (“Specifically  a subset that has been vetted by experts at Adobe to only provide results from websites that are known to provide high quality information.”) What can I adjust in order to enable Search to access the web page I am looking for?
I upgraded to CS5.5 recently from CS4. (CS4 Search is fine.) There isn't an internet connectivity problem. The web page I am looking for opens from the Welcome Screen> window> Help and Support> Search but I would much prefer to use the search field in the application window .

Rick, I realize that you misunderstand my question. In order to clairify let me guide you to an AE tutorial that shows the search I am attempting. The author is video2brain.com and the tutorial is FAQ: How do I find tutorials and information about After Effects?  At at 00:54 in the 2:31 minute video you will see the Search I am referring to. Please take a few minutes and watch the video so that you might understand my question. As I said, the Search works fine in AE CS4 but does not in the CS5 upgrade. Please refer me to someone who can address and resolve this issue. Here's the link to the video.  http://www.video2brain.com/en/videos-1254.htm Laurrie

This search panel opens up Adobe help which searches the Adobe Community Help for info. It isn't designed to search the web. The icons are to help you refine your search to specific products. The panel at the left reports the documents found. If you search for fireball tutorial you'll not find any references because, apparently, there are no fireball tutorials listed in the Adobe Community Help, but if you type in Motion Tracking, you'll get a bunch of stuff to look at and links to a half dozen tutorials from inside the help files.  The Adobe help files are not Google. Typing fireball tutorial in Google, or better yet AE fireball tutorial, brings up a bunch of things to look at, not one of them is part of the Adobe Community Help. Help is not Google. Search for help on just about anything that has to do with the functional aspects of After Effects and you'll end up with a bunch of resources. Try masking, track matte, edit path, keying, CC Ball Action and you'll get something. If you want a tutorial on using CC Ball Action, then you'll have to do a Google search because the folks that populate the Adobe community help haven't written a specific article on CC Ball Action yet.

  • Yahoo! Search results only appear in German

    Can anyone help, please?
I live in the UK and use an iPhone. I have set Yahoo! as my preferred search engine in Safari by selecting Yahoo! in Settings > Safari > Search Engine.
When I do a Yahoo! search, all the search results are in German which I can’t understand! Is there some way to set the search result language to English.

A new tab opens by default as a blank tab (about:blank).
If that isn't the case then an extension has changed that behavior.

You can middle-click or hold down Ctrl and left-click the Home button on the Navigation toolbar to open the Home page in a new tab.
