Yahoo toolbar is missing and won't reinstall

My yahoo toolbar is missing and won't reinstall. The yahoo icon is there and the space to type for the search engine is there but the search engine doesn't do anything when I try to use it. The apps/icons are all missing too. I uninstalled the toolbar and have reinstalled it 10 tomes and it won't work.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

My toolbar is missing and there is a button where it used to be that says "Please re-install the Toolbar" but when I click on it nothing happens? Also when I start Firefox I get a script running error how do I solve these issues?

what version of iPHoto do you have? Of the OS? is the iPhoto icon you are speaking of in the Dock?

Somehow my "IPhoto" icon now says "Preview". When I click on "Preview" nothing opens up except the bar says Preview. When I click on the Preview on the bar, a box opens up with different items, except when I click on any of them, there is nothing there. The only thing that work is the "quit preview". However, it is still there where my IPhoto icon should be. I can't get into my IPhoto. How do I get rid of this "Preview" and how did it end up taking over the IPhoto icon???

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

Yahoo toolbar bookmarks missing version 36

For people missing their bookmarks on the latest version of yahoo toolbar , I actually received a response from Yahoo today.
"Hi , We are aware that some users are unable to access their bookmarks in the Yahoo Toolbar. Our engineers are working on a fix to restore this functionality as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience."
So,this is not a Firefox problem. FYI.

This has been reported before. I also saw a report that recently the Yahoo site and the Mozilla site were offering different versions, but both versions were flawed.
I don't suppose Yahoo were able to point you to any official announcement or Yahoo bug report etc

I am quite dismayed at changes that have recently been made on my two email accounts; gmail and yahoo.
My yahoo toolbar has completely disappeared along with the bookmarks of which I had several.
Not long ago my "favorites" list disappeared and I had to replace it with "bookmarks".
WHAT IS GOING ON?
I also do not like the e-mail changes with the send box having the "send" and other tools on the BOTTOM. How awful. Change doesn't always mean "better".
Will you please advise me as to how I may get my toolbar and bookmarks back?
ALSO, the e-mails do not fit my computer screen and many times I have shut down the e-mail and re-enter my passwords in order to get out of a page. CAN YOU FIX THIS? Everything worked so well before.

BT Yahoo Toolbar causing IE8 and IE9 to stop worki...

This has just started happening in the last two days, click on Internet explorer blank window opens then "Internet explorer has stopped working" box pops up. Uninstall toolbar and IE works fine, reinstall toolbar and back to not working. No changes made to system in the last week or so. Anyone have any ideas please.

Try un-installing the toolbar.
Then use CCleaner as suggested before to remove unwanted files & also use CCleaner's Registry Cleanup options then reboot your PC.
When you have done that download a fresh copy of the toolbar installer (from a known good source) & try the install process again.

Yahoo toolbar will install and download properly

Every time I upgrade I have problems with the yahoo toolbar. When I upgraded to 5 the yahoo toolbar never downloaded properly, but it shows up in my add- ons. I upgraded to 6 and it is doing the same thing. It is showing in the add-ons, but the toolbar isn't showing up.

My Myriad disapeared and won't reinstall

After an update to my AVID editing software my Myriad fonts no longer appeared as an option but were still in the windows font folder (true type only was not selected) I deleted them and tried to reinstall but I get an error message that says "Unable to install, font filemay be damaged" So I bought a new one and tried to install it and the same message came up.
I tried to install on a different computer and it says the file is currently being used and cannot be replaced wait until windows is finished using the file and try again"
I am not not using any other software when I get this error.
Help I miss myriad!

Under FF 5, my wife's Windows 7 laptop will run Yahoo toolbar, but my Vista won't...WHY??

You don't have to wipe anything, but when you get a chance make sure you backed up to icloud.
What that means is your contacts inside of the phone either physically or liquid damaged. To check
which, you can look inside and if you see a little pink, that would give you a water damage. If you don't
see pink it means that you to many times plugged in that charger the other way or tried to. May be
used some other things to plug in. If you flash the light in you may be able to see those contacts.

FRUSTRRATED. need to remove Yahoo toolbar, remove BING and switch back to Google, open new windows in separte windows NOT tabs. PLease HELP!

A feature of my Yahoo Toolbar has dissappeared and doesnt seem to be available to re add to toolbar, specifically, anti spy.

After downloading Firefox 3.6, my Yahoo toolbar became disabled. It works now, however, one of the features of the toolbar no longer shows available on the toolbar : anti spy. It also does not appear as being able to re add to the toolbar.

Have you checked for an update for the Yahoo Toolbar? 
You can right-click that extension in the Extension Manager window and select '''Find Update''' - if that extension makes use of that feature.

I probably downloaded an update to some program and the yahoo toolbar came attached.

You must be watchful when installing/updating free software (and sometimes software that you pay for). The image below shows the opt-out for Yahoo Toolbar when installing Java; sometimes the opt-out is not as obvious.
