Yahoo toolbar with antispy
I used to be able to find, download the anti spy application while using Firefox. This application is not included in the available applications. Can you help me locate it or explain why it is not available through Firefox? Thanks
Due to security vulnerabilities, rolling back to Firefox 4.0.1 is not recommended.
Firefox 3.6.18 would be the safer choice, as it received the same security updates that are in Firefox 5.0.
Here's the process to roll back:
First, we recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong.
See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. ''(You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)''
Next, download and save Firefox 3.6.x to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
Close Firefox 5.
You could install Firefox 3.6.x over it ''(many user's have reported success doing that)'' or you could uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, '''do not''' remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6.x should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.

Contact Yahoo to see when they plan to release a version of their toolbar for Firefox 4.0.

Firefox said it was time to update, so I did, and it gave me firefox 5.0. I had to uninstall a lot of my add-ons as they were not compatible with the new 5.0 version, including my yahoo toolbar with shortcut keys, and my favorite add-on. I have lost all my shortcuts on my yahoo toolbar, and all my favorites. When will these add-ons be updated to work with 5.0 or what can I do to downgrade to 4.0 so my internet/computer will function properly again?
You can use the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/ Compatibility Reporter add-on] to re-enable your other add-ons to see if they work in Firefox 5.

When I load Firefox my Yahoo toolbar with all my links that I use does not load! I've been dealing with this for a long time! And as much as I hate Internet Explorer, you are forcing me to go back to it after 3 years with Firefox! Why dose your program have to be so uncooperative. If I can't access my program with ease, what good are you? I don't have this problem with IE. I have been using Firefox because it's so much faster than IE. But If I have to waste all this time trying to re-install Yahoo toolbar or type in Internet addresses, You really are no better, even worse!
'''Ya I also have the same problem. its working on I Explorer but I don't want to be so slow. '''
plzz suggest me a solution.
thanks. -
Dear Adobe Asshats, (Yahoo toolbar)
Who made the asinine decision to bundle the Yahoo toolbar
with the Flash player? Guess what, I know how to type "yahoo.com"
and go find they're crap toolbar... and I'd do so if I felt I
needed it... but seriously... I don't.old news - been discussed here for 1-2 years now - not really
discussed much anymore but search
forum for all previous old threads - for the most part, flash
detection/upgrade works behind the
scenes (express install) and user never sees that page - and
to be honest, when I go to the download
page to grab it manually, i cant find it either - i ask many
friends and clients if they see and
they can't either - besides, you have the option to not
download the yahoo toolbar - so it really
hasn't been a big deal for most people.
Seeing that the flash 8 player has been downloaded faster
than any other player (already over 80-85%
penetration), the toolbar hasn't had any adverse effect on
the player's popularity.

I just downloaded Firefox 5 and it said that my Yahoo toolbar will not work with it. Is this true? If so I will not use this new version and will switch to another browser if Firefox stops supporting the Yahoo toolbar. Thank you.
Add-ons contain a range of compatible Firefox versions, and Firefox honors the listed range by disabling the add-on if you are trying to run it on an unlisted version.
I'm sure Yahoo! will update its toolbar eventually, but not every add-on maker supports beta versions of software. -
My AT&T/Yahoo toolbar is incompatible with Firefox 4. What can I do to get it back?
I upgraded to Firefox 4 on Friday, May 6, 2011. After I finished that upgrade, I got a message that the yahoo toolbar add-on was incompatible with Firefox 4. I downloaded what I hoped was a new version on the AT&T toolbar and it seemed to work for a while, but on Saturday and Sunday my computer crashed several times. I used System Restore and then reinstalled Firefox 4. After a few crashes I decided not to enable the toolbar again. Will there be a version of the AT&T Toolbar that is compatible with Firefox 4? I use that toolbar to access my T&T mail, bookmarks and nearly all my internet browsing.
yes and I tryed going back to my home screen by pressing my home screen button

I am using Mozilla Firefox v3.6.8 with XP on my laptop and Vista on my desk top. I was asked by BT Yahoo to download the new BT Yahoo Toolbar. This I achieved on my laptop with XP, but have been unable to get the toolbar to show on my desktop using Vista. The file downloads and fails to create the toolbar.
Sheesh. That looks hard. I think it will fall over at this point:
"Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP" 'cos Thunderbird uses only the regular email protocols: POP, IMAP and SMTP.
Here (at work) we have in the past have had IMAP and SMTP enabled on our Exchange server so Thunderbird could then connect just like to any other regular internet-based service.
With the change here to outlook365/outlook 2010 I've had to switch to using DavMail which lets Thunderbird talk to the mail server using OWA.
I haven't (seriously) tried Exquilla. Whilst I have great respect for its author and some of his other add-ons, I saw no reason to use an add-on that required payment when DavMail works for free. -
I just installed ff 5.0 & I'd like to go back to the previous version
See [[installing a previous version of Firefox]].
Possibly at some stage Yahoo will release an update to the toolbar so it works with Firefox again.
Update
Note Yahoo toolbar is being made compatible with Firefox 5, and it was hoped to have been done by 21st June. ([/forums/contributors/707024?last=40411#post-40357 see] ) Yahoo toolbar is therefore likely to become compatible very soon, if not already. -

Nothing much else to say; what I wrote is self-explanatory. I have the Yahoo toolbar on my computer and have used it for a long, long time with Internet Explorer. I have downloaded Firefox though because the upgraded Explorer is giving me fits and keeps freezing the page. So how can I put the Yahoo toolbar on the Firefox page to use? Can I import it or do I need to reinstall it?
Firefox needs a different toolbar than IE, so you need to install the Yahoo! Toolbar for Firefox.
