Yahtzee has frozen, is there a solution?
My game of Yahtzee has frozen on my iPad, is there any solution I have tried reboot and reinstalling it, but nothing has worked
Re FF5 and the RM plugin.
I noticed that an embedded ram/rm file, invisible and with automatic start does play -- contrary to the same file type with play button, which triggers the crash.
Hopefully there'll be a solution someday (soon)...

i just got my macbook air, less then a week ago, and at least once a day it has frozen and ive had to restart it is there a way to fix that?
If the MBA is within 14 days of the purchase date from an Apple sore, you may return it for a refund or an exchange.
Regarding the specific problem you are facing, can you provide more details, such as the application that you were using and exactly what the response was.

My 1st generation i-pad has been acting up lately. Can't open: safari, email, facebook, i-book and other apps, it keeps crashing. Is there a solution outside of replacing it.
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that didn't help either, try restoring your iPad > iTunes: Restoring iOS software -
The camera on my iPhone 4 isn't working and hasn't for quite sometime. I have updated the phone to IOS 6 and it hasn't made any difference.
When you use the icon that appears at the bottom of the screen or the camera icon on the main screen all you see is the camera shutter.I have tried to restore the camera and that hasn't made any difference. I have spoken to Apple support and they sent me a support site to check out, but there isn't any specific solution for my problem. Has anyone had a similar problem and is there a solution?Try:
- Reset the iPhone. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPhone: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPhone.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

since I installed ios 6 on my iPhone 4S Siri has been verrrrrry slow - is there a solution for this?
There is no issue with iOS7.
The issue is with specific iPhones.
I know multiple people with iPhones that have all upgraded to the latest iOS and none of them have experienced issues with the update across multiple models. Even with the postings here, if you search through them, some go back as far as iOS5 and these Wi-Fi/bluetooth issues occurring which clearly shows it is not the iOS update that is killing the hardware. The issue is with hardware on specific devices that is boarderline working and an update is causing the hardware to fail.
Apple offers an Out of Warranty replacement for a reasonable cost or the user can choose to replace the device with a different one (newer iPhone or some other device).
Regardless, ranting here is pointless and against the terms of use. -
My ability to scroll mail has stopped, although I can scroll other applications. Is there a solution?
Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -

I purchased a movie through iTunes and the movie gets stuck on the opening screen and will not play. Has anybody had this happen? And if so is there any solution?
Hey Christian,
I'd follow the troubleshooting steps below, from this article:
Apple computers: Troubleshooting issues with video on internal or external displays
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1573
Reset the system
You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.
Reset the resolution
Start by resetting the Mac's parameter RAM. If the display does not come up, was previously set to an unsupported resolution, and still results in no video:
Start up in Safe Mode.
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
Choose Displays from the View menu to open the preferences pane.
Select any resolution and refresh rate that your display supports.
Restart your computer.
See if that resolves the issue and gets your video playing again.
All the best,
David -

Open and Save dialogs are painfully slow. Is there a solution?
Open and Save dialogs are painfully slow. Is there a solution?
I pulled this part out of one of the topics Barney-15E linked to. It absolutely works! The glacially slow Finder response has been driving me batty in Mavericks. Each time I restarted, it would take forever to list the startup drive when I opened it. Open and Save dialogues were also painfully slow to respond. Now they all snap open and list instantly. I used TextWrangler to comment out the line in the file auto_master, then ran the automount command in Terminal.
Working workaround:
Use the following statements in Terminal.
sudo vi /etc/auto_master
In this file comment out /net with # (#/net .....)
sudo automount -vc
Fixed.
Confirmed here too both for Preview.app Open file sluggishness and Finder window population. Thanks Snaggletooh_DE!
Couple of notes:
(1) Some folks may be more comfortable using a GUI editor like TextWrangler instead of vi
a) in the Finder use the GO menu and select Go to Folder
b) type '/etc' ( without single quotes ) in the Go to folder dialog box and press the Go button
c) Right ( Control ) click the auto_master file in the resulting Finder window. Select "Open with...." and use TextWrangler ( your choice )
d) Comment out the line by inserting a '#' ( pound sign ) as noted in Snaggletooth_DE's instructions
e) Save the file ( probably need to authenticate with your admin password )
f) Do the 'sudo automount -vc' per Snaggletooth_DE's instructions. Will need to authenticate again.
(2) Notice Snaggletooth_DE described this as a "workaround" because it bypasses an Apple bug. Presumably most people have not changed their auto_master file and it worked fine in Mountain Lion and prior. In other words: If you haven't done so already, please continue to submit feedback and bug reports to Apple for this issue.
Kudos to Snaggletooth_DE for figuring out code is trying to look at network ( NFS ) volumes that maybe don't exist. -
I have a Macbook and iPhone and like to back up to iCloud. However, my work computer runs Outlook 2003, which I know will not work with the iCloud. The company has no plans to update anytime soon. Since the calendar and contact list on my office computer are my primay ones, I hard sync through iTunes. The problem is that any data synced from Outlook 2003 to the iPhone from iTunes does NOT later backup to iCloud. Is there a solution?
I have the same problem with Outlook 2003 and Win XP which the multinational organisation I work for standardises on and will probably stay with forever!

I read there is a solutions to open and save every single picture. I hope this is not the solution.
Yes it is exactly the thing that a standard windows functionality or the windows photo viewer doesnt "recognises" the metadata. In my opionen is metadata a standard wich shouldn`t matter on wich operation system you are working on. Some parts are implemented in systems, other not. Like the same thing with MP3`s.
If I strip the metadat with 3rd Party software like you said Paulcb, will other data also be lost like the locations and time stamps who are on the metadata of the pictures, or is there a solution to the problem you are aware of KiltedTim that repairs the metadata so every system can read out the metadata.
It`s also strange that only the 4S has this issue what I read on the net.

It is an intermittent, but a regular-enough-to-be-really-annoying occurrence........when someone sends an e-mail, to which is attached a photo of some kind, or a picture document, it will replicate in my inbox, sometimes 100 or more copies at a time.
