Ive had no luck finding an environment map for the S90/ Logic audio.
The only download Ive found is at the sninety.com site but it is only text gibberish.
can anyone help with this please?
I know this has been asked on here before but i cant find any answers (apart from the site mentioned above)
thanks..

I have made a multi for the S90 with all the factory
patch names entered for all banks and custom bank
switch messages so they can be selected in Logic. Is
that useful to you?
Thanks Gordon.
That sounds very usefull.
Do you have it somewhere I can download?
Logic seems to generate some kind of reset command and I continually lose
the selected voices in the S90 seq'
Would that work around this problem??

  • Can I connect a Yamaha S90 keyboard to my macbook pro via USB to access Logic's MIDI capabilities?

My Yamaha S90 keyboard has a USB connector.  I am guessing that it is only there for updating firmware, but I can't find any references.  What I would like to do is use the S90 as a MIDI input device to Logic on the Macbook Pro without having to connect through my AMT8.  I am having trouble finding the right drivers to get the AMT8 to talk to Logic on the Macbook Pro.  I have been using my old dual processor G5 for recording and sequencing and want to have more portability.  Any suggestions?

Shouldn't be any need to use the AMT8, if the S90 has USB.
I seriously DOUBT you will need drivers, either.
Just create a new device in Audio Midi Setup, and the next time you open Logic, you should be good to go.
Weird that the AMT8 doesn't seem to be working, but once again, use above info for setting up the AMT8 while in Audio Midi Preferences while you're at it, and then you have BOTH options.

  • Measuring RSS for Radio Environment Map Construction

    Hi,
We want to setup a small Radio Environment Map testbed via deploying 20-30 lowcost RSS measuring devices in our campus.
We want to measure the recived signal strength within 2W bandwidth and center frequency fc (fc and 2W are not determined yet, they will be determined after determining the devices)
Could you please suggest a device for this setup.
By little search, I found in the web
    1- eZ430-RF2500
    2- USB-5680
any other alternative suggestions are welcomed thx

    Hi byilmaz,
I assume your measurements will be in the high MHz to likely GHz.  Given this assumption, NI's USB power meter (the 5680 you found) will be the best solution we have, but it may be overkill for your application.  Since most of our products (especially RF ones) are meant for lab/industrial grade measurements, the accuracy et al. specs will likely exceed your needs to monitor power in the air.
Of course, if you think you need the performance of our USB power meter, we can look at that further if you'd like more information.

  • Logic fx not working

I have the situation with logic express where all the controllable parameters on Logic's fx are frozen.
The effects insert and work using the drop down menu presets, but each slider on every type of Logic effect is frozen if I wish to adjust them.
3rd party plug ins are fine.
    Any ideas anyone??
    thanks.

  • Environment for Yamaha AN200

Does anybody know where I can download the Yamaha AN200 environment?
    Thanks

Think of the environment as a virtual description of what is in the real world, to begin with. (It does a lot more than that of course but start simple and work up)
I own several Multi-Timbral rack synth modules and for each one I have described it in the environment as a Multi Instrument: Specifying the MIDI port it is attached to and all the Patch Banks have the listings of the patch names.
So, in the Arrange window it is very easy to identify say a Roland JV-1080 or Fantom-XR module, and set the particular patch I require for that MIDI channel; without needing to touch the synth module at all. In fact they are all the other side of the room behind glass panels! That's the beauty of it.

How can I pass environment variables to the child process? This is what I tried and it didn't work.

  • Yamaha Motif ES8 - migrating from LP7

    Hello.
I've been using my MOTIF ES8 in LP7 for years in multi-instrument mode. I realized that my LP7 autoload file doesn't play nice with LP8 (the control surface goes haywire), and I'm now in the process of creating a new autoload file in LP8 that "resembles" that of my old LP7 autoload.
    Problem is this...
I've not been successful in copying the ES8 multi-instrument icon form LP7 into 8 - and I'd like to simply have 16 MIDI Channel in my LP8 arrange window that references the Motif and all of it's patches from the inspector window.
It may worth mentioning that I've searched motifator.com for a new LSO file for LP8 and have come up with zip.
Has anybody got this working, and if so....how did you migrate from LP7 into 8?
    Thank you,
    David

Im trying to do the same with LP7 LSO file for my Yamaha S90. if i find anything i will let you know. have you figured anything out?
    thanks.

  • Can I use Creative recording software with a Yamaha keyboard?

= I wasn't sure if this was the right place to ask this, but I was wondering if I can use my Yamaha S90 music synthesizer (basically an electronic piano) to make music? I was looking at the Creative Media Toolbox 6 and I'm not sure. I'll be using the 30day free trial once I get a usb cable to hook up the piano to my PC. I'm looking for music creation software that will let my use the piano with my PC.

Yes if you have iOS 4.x and a 3G or later iPod.  See:

  • Problems with Custom Bank Select

Hi, I've encountered a problem with the configuration I work in my office: an Imac 21.5' 2009 dual core, with Logic studio 9.1.3 and a Yamaha S90 ES with the last firmware installed.
For some pretty urgent compositional work I have the need to be able to switch between the 6 sound banks of the S90. I've followed the instructions on both the pdf and the paper manual, but when I create the "external midi" track and I switch to the Custom bank select, and I go to Options (as noted on the manuals) I can't find the Custom bank options, and the window on which I could set the MSB and LSB and Program change doesn't show up. How can I get to that window?

    CCTM wrote:
There seems to have been some un-documentated changes to the Custom bank Select process.
You can access the "Define" window by Control or Right-clicking on the Multi-Instrumnet object itself (NOT the Patch list window). Choose "Define Custom Bank Messages" from the contextual menu.
    Further investigation reveals the solution:
The manual is referring to the 'Options' menu in the Environment window, NOT the 'Options' menu in the Patch List window.
Remember to select the MultiInstrument object 1st.

  • What is the easiest way to mix and match drum samples from Logic software instruments

I have been using Logic software instruments (EXS 24 drums kits) for a while. I know how to edit indiviual zones in a drum kit but I would like to know how to copy and paste multiple zones all at once from one kit to another so that I can create a hybrid ESX24 drum kit with my favorite snares, kicks, toms etc. Is there a good tutorial video showing how to do this?

so that I can create a hybrid ESX24 drum kit with my favorite snares, kicks, toms etc.
To my opinion the Environment "Mapped Instrument" object is designed exactly for what you want. You can load even different Software (drum) Instrument kits into say EXS, Addictive Drums, UB etc. Patch multiple cables to each Software Drum Instrument instance, open the Mapped Instrument and assign the pads "cable" outputs in the Cable column - this is one of the most elegant ways in Logic...

  • How to unSelect checkBoxes inside a buttonBar

    Hello!
I've been a Flex developer for several months now and have made some great strides.  However, I've ran across a problem that requires some help from the Pros.
I'm using Flash Builder 4.5 Premium.
    Scenerio:
I have a buttonBar whose dataProvider is an mx:viewStack supplied by Spark NavigatorContent.  I have checkBoxes inside each of the NavigatorContent instances.  The checkBoxes turn content on and off.  Works great.
    Problem:
When you select a different button in the buttonBar the selected content from the previuos button still displays.
    Question:
How do I get the selected content from the previous button to not display? I'm not sure how to do this.
    Bonus:
If someone can tell me how to handle the checkBox eventHandler more efficiently that would be awesome!  Because right now I currently have an eventHandler function for each check box (like 18).  Since I'm still grean, so I figured I'd get everything working before trying to streamline this.  Or perhaps (I'm havina an epiphany) I need to add something to this code to unSelect the checkBox once the button has changed?  Not sure and confused.
    Thanks for the help!

  • How To Retain Multi-Channel Data When Saving as SMF 0 format

I need to save my logic files as SMF0 format midi files in order to play them on my new yamaha S90 ES keyboard. How do you do this when you have songs with multiple channels on separate tracks and regions in the arrange window?
    Thanks for any help.

i have resolved this problem, it's maybe i didnot set the fmtCanWriteTransparency flag in the pipl.
    thanks.

  • Just installed Red Giant Trapcode Suite, now AE CC will no longer import or recognize jpeg files?

Have tried trashing AE Preferences, deleting Media Caches, etc to no avail. Also get red outline or screens on AE Start Up or Quit?
Anyone else experienced anything like this??
Installed on Mac Pro 4.1 running OSX 10.9.5, 36GB RAM, Nvdia Quaddro FX 4800.

In fact all prior projects that utilized a jpeg or png for an Environment Map, background, composited layer, etc., etc. have all links broken and will not reload or replace footage already in projects.
Trapcode Suite 12 downloaded from Red Giant for CC and installed properly.

  • Scanning Of Exs Sampler Instruments

i don't remember if this function is still in logic but it would scan all my ext hardrives for samples for sampler instruments so it would then be able to find them faster. right now its showing i have multiple samples of certan instruments and want to get that a little more roganized
    thanks

Completely unrelated question, but I had found a previous thread where you had converted an older Logic file for the Yamaha S90 synthesizer into a newer file that would work in Logic 8 but the link to that file is now broken. Any chance you could reconvert and repost?
The original file link (in the older Logic format) is at http://files.keyfax.com/download/S90Object.LSO
    Thanks much in advance....
