Yaourt: wath means the number besides a package name on search results
As the tile suggest, I want to know what is the meaning of the number that appears besides a package name on the search results of yaourt. Anyone know? Why isn't there any explanation on the manual?

The number right after the package name is the version and release number, the number in parentheses - zero for lightworks and 21 for lwks is the number of votes each package has.

As stated above, when I would enter a web address in the main bar at the top of Firefox, the browser would go directly to that website (e.g., nytimes, or pcmag, etc...).
Now it goes to a search results page, where I have to click on NY Times, or PC Mag, to get to the website. Couple of things you could try : clearing your Safari cache (Settings > Safari > Clear Cache and also try Clear History). You could also try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Finding the number of blocks occupied by a table

I need to know how much space is being occupied by a table.
NOTE: I dont need the allocated space of a table. I need the actual space occupied by a table currently.
I have used the following two methods to determine the size, but i have two contradictory answers..
The procedure i have used is:
1. calculate the number of blocks being used.
2. mulitply the number of blocks by db_block_size to get
the space occupied by a table.
I have used two ways to find out the number of blocks, but they both differ.
Let me know which one is correct or is there any way to find out the number of blocks.
1st Method
SQL> analyze table employee estimate statistics;
Table analyzed.
SQL> select table_name, blocks, empty_blocks from dba_tables where table_name='EMPLOYEE';
TABLE_NAME BLOCKS EMPTY_BLOCKS
EMPLOYEE 184999 5000
2nd method to find the number of blocks.
SQL> select count(distinct(substr(dbms_rowid.rowid_to_Restricted(rowid,0),1,8))) from employee;
COUNT(DISTINCT(SUBSTR(DBMS_ROWID.ROWID_TO_RESTRICTED(ROWID,0),1,8)))
165058
From the 1st method i got 184999 as the number of blocks and from 2nd method i got 165058.
Please help me out as soon as possible.
Thanks........If by "the number of blocks occupied by a table" you mean the number of blocks actually containing data, then the best you can do is an approximation. The supplied package DBMS_SPACE contains a procedure called Unused_Space that will give you the number of blocks above the high water mark. It takes 3 input paramters and returns 7 out parameters. You can call it as:
DBMS_SPACE.Unused_Space (owner, obj_name, object_type,
total_blocks, total_bytes, unused_blocks,
unused_bytes, last_used_extent_file_id,
last_used_extent_block_id, last_used_block)The output parameters are:
total_blocks - Number of blocks allocated to the table
total_bytes - Number of bytes allocated to the table
unused_blocks - Number of blocks above the high water mark
unused_bytes - Number of bytes above the high water mark
last_used_extent_file_id - file id containing the last used block
last_used_extent_block_id - block id of the last used block
last_used_block - row slot of the last used block
Note that this does not take into account any free space within block below the high water mark.

I know when doing some changes in the sap bw system, and performing activation subsequently , you are prompted to save the changes into some package and transport request. my question is:
in the real project, where does those package name and transport request number come from? make up by myself or provided by project management, or someone else? if doing by youself, how to make up package name and transport request number ?

to create package u use SE80.. Transport req number are configured by basis team.. its usually source system ID and running serial number...
package name can be decided by tech architect or by ur team manager.. -

It is a list like any other. Iterate through the items looking to see if they match your criterion/criteria and increment your found count (or add indices to a list) as you go:

Briefly, open_choose gives you the "open with" on Catfish, gmv gives you the ability to rename (and move) files in catfish, gnome-search-tool-no-nautilus is an alternative to catfish that works without installing nautilus because it installs nautilus-data instead, and so doesn't need gnome-desktop either.
ORIGINAL QUESTION
I have created a Thunar custom action to search folders using Catfish, but I rarely use it because I usually need to "open with" one of the results with something other than the default application.
Here is the custom action:
Name: Search
Description: Find files or folders
Command: catfish --fileman=thunar --path=%f
Appears if selection contains: Directories
I can search the folder currently displayed in Thunar by right-clicking an empty space between icons, or I can search one of the sub-folders by right-clicking that sub-folder. That works great, but once I have the results, all I can do is open one of the files with the default application. Can I get an "open with" option on the right-click context menu in Catfish search results?
I just realized that I also want to be able to rename files from the results as well. If Catfish doesn't do this stuff, is there another gui linux application that does?

It also gives you a way to copy the file location as you can with catfish. It needs to be used along with the .desktop file listed after the script below. If you use the wrapper script for catfish above, catfish will also be able to use this script because it's .desktop file will be listed as an option for any file.
In addition to putting the script and desktop files in the correct locations, you will have to update the mime cache with the commands I list at the end of this post.
*You will need to install yad available in AUR*.
I tried to do it with zenity, but zenity didn't document any way to put default values into a form, so I went with yad instead.

The last line of this .desktop file is MimeType=... and it goes on to list thousands of mimetypes. I tried to include anything that might come up on a linux machine by googling for it and looking at the mimetypes on my own machine. I'm sure I missed some, but anyway, the point of having all these mimetypes is to make "Move or Rename" show up on the "open with" menu of any file manager or in my "open_choose" script.
Which .desktop files can open what mimetypes is stored in /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache. That's where my open_choose script looks for that information and it seems to be where gnome-search-tool and Thunar look as well.
In order to update /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache. with all those mimetypes the gvm.desktop can open, you need to run the following two commands:
sudo update-desktop-database
sudo update-mime-database /usr/share/mime
The first mimetype I list in gmv.desktop is inode/directory. This makes the command available for directories in my open_choose script, but not in Thunar because Thunar won't provide an open with dialog for directories. And, unfortunately, gnome-search-tool doesn't provide an open with dialog for directories either and it will default to gvm.desktop if you leave inode/directory as a mimetype for gvm.desktop to handle. That means gnome-search-tool can't open directories with Thunar. So, if you are using gnome-search-tool, you might want to remove inode/directory from the mimetypes gvm.desktop can handle. Don't forget that any change to a desktop file needs to be followed by the two update commands listed above before the mimetypes will be updated.

I need to remove "air." from package name. I'm get a Layout xml error when repackaging android app..
So, i'm doing this on my own app. I made an update for an older app that was build using Native Android. But this time, i used Adobe AIR... The catch is Adobe likes to append a "air." to the front of your package name without asking you. So basically I can't upload my update because it has a new package name is now "air.com.mycompany.myapp" rather than the original "com.mycompany.myapp"

I followed all the steps, made all the adjustments to the androidmanifest.xml like it asks.
But after going along with the above guide, with no issues when i get to the step that says
"Run the following command to create the resource file for the updated AndroidManifest.xml:"
I run this..

But I keep getting the same error regarding the xml files in res/layout

The guide doesn't say anything about these xml files, and im not sure what to do with these or how to handle them.
If i go into the res/layout folder, and just delete these (i know they're necessary. But i just deleted them as a test, to get through the rest of the guide...)
I was able to get through the rest of the steps in the guide fine, make an apk, and put it on my phone...only to find out the app will crash the moment you try to run it. Probably because i deleted the layout xml files...But i cant get the command i need to run above to accept them!
So, earlier in the guide they have me use thing thing called the "AXMLPrinter2.jar" to make the AndroidManifest.xml readable so i can edit it.
I run something like this:
java -jar "/Users/brybam/Desktop/repackage/AXMLPrinter2.jar" AndroidManifest.xml > AndroidManifest.xml.bk
This makes a new file "AndroidManifest.xml.bk" and i can edit that.
So, I was thinking with all of these layout xml files, maybe I could run this "AXMLPrinter2.jar" on them and then edit them. Because right now if you open them they're not human readable, and its hard for me to work on them if they're not...
I tried this thinking i could do the same thing...

Just get a blank file and a console erorr when trying to use the AXMLPrinter2.jar on the layout xml files...

Ok, so I found a site that talks about the error I'm getting but it's in chinese, and even after translating the page...I'm still not well versed with terminal and this stuff to get it.

Then this txt file extension into bat form, and this BAT the file and AXMLPrinter2.jar on the same directory will be decompiled xml into the layout directory

Maybe someone with more know-how could explain what they're explaining? I get that he's saying the issue im seeing appears when you're using minSdK <=7 but I need to use minSdk 8. Does anyone understand this work around? And how I might go about it on a Mac with terminal?
I wish adobe would make it easy to remove the "air." from the package name. If they want to convert old Native devs to AIR devs...the transition needs to be seamless. But now I'm about to have to go back to Native because I can't update an app I already have out on the market with an air app.Hello~
I also tried to remove "air." package name in air application. And i encounter the same problem.
I do not find any solution to decode the xml inside res folder by AXMLPrinter2.jar. And those xml inside is compressed which is unreadable.
However, what you can do is copying the structure of res folder. And go to your air sdk file path - adobeair-sdk-folder/lib/android/lib/resources/
Replace those file exists in your res folder. And copy "values" folder to your res folder.
