Yearly Unlimited US/Canada Payment Refused... WHY!...

I have been a happy Skype Customer for over three years. I have had a Yearly Unlimited calling plan to the US and Canada for the whole time I have been a customer. Below is a copy of the refused payment.

If you have failed to pay due to credit card expiry or any other reason and once Skype has tried to charge you and they fail and cancel your subscription - you can't do anything to renew your subscription - or can you?
I have wasted three days and umpteen hours trying to renew my refused payment cancelled subscription - but no luck. Today I had even a call from their customer service to personally tell me that they can not do anything for me. So thats that.
But most annoying thing is that their own website says this -
"If your credit card expires (or the payment fails for any other reason), we will let you know that the recurring payment failed, and give you time to change your payment method and keep your subscription running.
If you don’t change your payment details in time and your subscription expires, you have up to 90 days to reactivate it by updating the payment method. By doing this, you can maintain your current subscription settings."

there may be several reasons why your credit card may be declined by the iTunes store ,
the reason the iTunes store require c.card when you setup your apple id is for verification purposes
if you have called the iTunes store in the past about unrecognised charges, or unauthorised activity ,
then your bank may have blocked your card from being used on the iTunes store, i would recommend contacting your banking institute

You should be importing these to your computer regularly as you would from any digital camera.

Why? Presumably because there is a problem of some kind.

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?

Hi,
I just bought 'Unlimited US & Canada' subscription to make calls from my landline. My friend recommended to buy this. I do not know how do I set it up to make calls from my landline?
How does it work? My friend said to set up skype to go number...but it doesn't seem to help.

You have purchased Unlimited US&Canada, does it mean you wish to call US?
In that case Skype To Go number is not very useful. Skype To Go number is just like a regular landline number, so instead of calling Skype To Go number from your landline and then be direct to US number you could call US number directly.
Skype To Go number makes sense if you wish to call abroad. For example you wish to call UK which would be international call. So, you will get Skype To Go number which is local to you in US and then Skype subscription that covers UK calls.
This way you wouldn't pay international price, you would pay for local call plus small subscription fee for Skype.

What country are you in? What country is the store you are attempting to register for? In what country was your credit card issued?
You can not use a foreign credit card. It must be issued in the country of the iTunes store you are attempting to use with a valid billing address in that country.
