Yellow icon missing from the Printhead

HP released a limited number of printheads that are missing the yellow icon. The yellow icon indicates the correct slot for the yellow print cartridge.

SolutionYou do not need to take any action. The reliability and performance of the printhead are not affected. The printhead is still a genuine HP product that functions the same as a printhead that has a yellow icon. When it is time to insert a yellow cartridge, insert it in the slot between the cyan and black cartridges.

yes, but you need to know what exactly to restore. otherwise you'd have top restore the entire system which might be an overkill.

what do you mean?? I gave you the path to that folder. just open it in Finder. also, you didn't answer my question. where exactly is the copy of Spotlight.app that you changed?

Often when people think they've deleted an application, what's really happened is that they deleted its icon from the Dock. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Applications
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-A to open the Applications folder. If the application is in that folder, drag it to the Dock (not to the Desktop or anywhere else.) The other Dock icons will move out of the way to make a place for it.

Today I noticed that all my icons are missing from the right hand side of my screen. There is no Wifi, Bluetooth, clock, or Spotlight! How does this happen?!?

If the setting for the rotation lock is missing it is because you are using the side switch to control the rotation in Settings>General>Use Side Switch to>Lock Rotation. The software switch in the control center should be for Muting system sounds.

If you are sure that you are entering the correct passcode, reboot the iPad and then try again and see if it is accepted.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Bootcamp Icon missing from system tray...

On the 1st computer (iMac) that I installed BootCamp with Win 7, I have an icon in the lower left system tray for changing the booting choice.
Today I installed BootCamp on my wife's new Mac Mini and the icon is missing from the system tray. While it was about 6 weeks ago that I put BootCamp on my iMac, I don't remember doing anything that cause the Windows system tray to display the boot choice icon for BootCamp/Win 7.
Anyone have an idea about how I can get that icon to appear on the Mac Mini.
Both systems are running Snow Leopard with the latest software.

Macaby there are two separate components of Boot Camp. First is Assistant which runs on the Mac side of things from OS X. It creates/deletes the Windows partition which is necessary to install Windows. Next the Boot Camp Panel software which is installed once you have successfully installed and are running Windows. It allows tweaking of the Apple hardware from within Windows. It is installed using the OS X disc and does not jeopardize your installed Windows OS in any way. This disc also contains the hardware driver necessary to optimize the hardware in Windows. In my experience this disc has never started via autorun so you will most likely have to locate the Boot Camp folder and run the setup.exe file manually.
Don't know how much your wife uses Windows but if it's running well enough then you may want to leave it alone. Check device manager in Windows for any red or yellow punctuation marks. This will indicate a potential driver issue in Windows. Also check the Windows Experience Index for performance issues. A 1 anywhere indicates a driver issue. If you have no driver issues and Windows is running well enough you may want to leave it at that.

Airplay Icon missing from iTunes 11.0.2.26 (PC) and Genius Sidebar

After upgrading to iTunes 11.0.2.26 my Airplay icon is missing. I've tried the simple fix that reportedly works where you switch to mini player, see the Airplay icon and then it stays when you switch to normal mode.
Firstly the icon does appear but it is grayed out and only pops up a volume control. It does not detect, display, or allow you to select output devices, Second, it is still missing from the normal size window.
This has been tried with and without restarting iTunes as well as reinstalling iTunes. I'd go for a downgrade but then it fails to work with the new iPads at all. I discovered that with my first iPad mini where it required an iTunes upgrade.
Genious Sidebar
I figured Id just downgrade to 10.6.3 to get the genius sidebar back afterwards. WRONG, it will not synch or do anything without the newer versions of the iTunes software. Genius sidebar was the best thing about the software and they kept taking it away, brought it back for a few versions, then took it away again. It was and remains my favorite way to shop for new music. The remaining so called genius functions are just plain lame.
Airplay Icon Missing from Itunes on PC
I can hit my Airplay devices such as Apple TV and Zeppelin Air with iPads, iPods, and iPhones. Just not from the PC Console where is previously enjoyed it the most. So I know the devices are fine. They are all on the same physical wired and wireless network. Even when I put the Zeppelin on the wired LAN there is no Airplay icon in iTunes on the PC.

NOW! i can tell you in my case it was nothing to do with your router or antyvirus ip connection.
my pc is auto updating every sunday and icon has disappeared on monday i realized this fact and i have started uninstalling windows updates one by one after each uninstall i have restarted PC each time always run itunes and check if airplay icon is back. AND THER SHE WAS fiew windows updates uninstalled and icon is back in itunes
Now i can not remember what Update it was KB28 ..... something i didnt wright it down at the time i hope this will help someone.

I was at Starbuck's today trying to install new software for my new wireless internet card and when I finished I could no longer access any of my applications that require java... I have a macbook pro dual platform computer. When I try to access www.bayphoto.com to download my application it says: (see below) (which I think is strange because it's all about Starbuck's and it should be my java code- I think...). Hi,suddenly I looked at my home screen and it seemed different. I noticed that the phone option is missing from the bottom of the home screen. It is usually down with the icons "mail" "safari" and "ipod". Where did it go and how can I get it back???? Thanks...

ride1992 is correct. You may have moved the Phone icon to another page of your home screen. Fortunately the Phone icon is not one that can be deleted - only moved. Information for editing or resetting your home screen is found in the pages ride1992 mentioned.

I, too, love everything about my phone. The other day I tried to crash my Z10 by running multiple apps and having videos running in the background. Do you think my Z10 showed any signs of slowing down? Nothing doing! It ran as smooth as silk. I'm very impressed.

Android Notification Icon Missing From Captive Build

Hey all,
We've finished development on an iOS & Android game which shaped up to a rather nice result thanks to the great SDKs available to us from Adobe
And after breaking our heads on implementing a cross-platform NativeExtension for push notifications, we managed to set it all up and get everything connected, running on production servers. We'll do a write-up about that later because documentation on that subject is rather lacking and people who succeeded are somewhat tight-lipped about their solutions.
There's just one thing that's bugging us: the notification icon for Android seems to be missing from the captive build (we're using AIR SDK 3.1) and defaults back to an Adobe AIR logo. This behavior is not seen when building a normal APK file, which makes me think this is something we have no control over and might possibly be a bug in adt.
We've found only one other post on the web about this particular problem:

Why is the Mac HD icon missing in the Startup Disk window?

The Mac HD icon is missing in the Startup Disk window in the Lion Partition on my iMac. It is also missing from the Snow Leopard partition. I did not install Lion on my MacBook and the Mac HD icon is in the Startup Disk.
       Startup Disk (in Snow Leopard and Lion)
MacOSX, 10.6.8,             Mac OSX, 10.7,        Network Startup     (no MacOSX icon)
on Snow Leopard 1            on LIon 2
Any ideas about this?

I am currently in the same situation, and have Paragon installed on my Mac. Furthermore the Option key does not work when I try to hold it down during startup.

Hi Mary,
Go into the transaction phap_catalog_pa. Select the template you want to change. Then it is the 5th tab-writer.
But as it is most likely released you will need to unrelease it. When documents are created already based on this template you will need to delete them first.
