Yellow screen appears when earphones are connected

Hi,
It's about my Ipod Nano 6th generation bought in April 2011.
each time I plug any earphones into the jack the nano gets stuck in a kind of starting page with yellow letters (a kind of BIOS if I may say). Moreover the sound control button are not working.
The USB plug is working, I can synchronise, restore through Itunes, even listen to music when it is connected withe this plug to my car. But it won't work with regular (several types tried) earphones.
Can somebody help ?
thanks
Phil

Yeah, i did it already but i can not get the device to reset. I let it for 10 sec. But the logo never appeared. Tried it several times, no result. Is there a another way to do that ?
Thanks

  • Why won't DND supress sound notifications when earphones are connected?

The other day I was listening to relaxation music and switched on DND to avoid being disgurbed by any notifications. My earphones were connected. The iphone did play all sound notifications like mail and whatsapp and that was a big annoyance to my meditation.
I know I could use airplan mode but i dot wanna miss important notifications for review later.
    Anyone facing a similar issue?

  • Sound when earphones are connected

I have had my Ipod touch for about 8 months now and found through trial and error how to fix this problem, but since the current software upgrade what I used to do isnt working.
When I plug my earphones in the ipod the sound comes through both the ipod and earphones. What I want to know is how to stop it on the Ipod so that it only comes through the ear phones when they are commected, yet when the earphones are pulled out it will come back through the ipod.

just bumping this, can anyone help please?

  • HT203442 So what do I do if my earphones ARE connected properly, and the player still stops?

My earphones are connected as they always have been.  It worked going to work in the morning, and on the return trip home, the player started turning off... what gives?  Has anyone found a fix?  Apple Support says I have to pay $30 just to TALK to someone, no promises that they can fix anything.  No offense, but I can buy a generic MP3 player for $30 that WILL work.  This may be the last Apple product I buy...

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

  • Sound does'nt shut down when earphones are plugged in. Ipad Mini.

Sound doesn't shut down when earphones are plugged in. Same earphones used with other ipad or iphone give no problem.

might be a hardware issue with the headphone jack. Try cleaning it with a dry soft toothbrush to remove lint and dust.
    If that doesn't help:
Try doing a hard reset for the iPad: Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't solve the issue, you could also try backing up the device and restoring the device as new.
In that case, follow the steps in: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup. If the issue persists after restoring as new, you should offer the device for service.
If you get specific error messages/codes in iTunes when updating/restoring, check this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694
If you're not able to restore the device, this one might help: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
Using that last article will erase everything on the device, so make sure you have a backup!
    Good luck

  • Green Screen appears when trying to boot into windows7 64bit using bootcamp

I sometimes get a GREEN SCREEN appearing when i try to boot into windows7 64bit using bootcamp. The computer freezes on this green screen and i have to power down the computer and restart it sometimes twice before it will load windows. Any suggestions on how to correct this problem???
Computer specs: 15" macbook pro, i7 processor, 4GB RAM, 512MB nividia GT330M graphics,
    Bootcamp version 3.0.2, Windows7 64bit ultimate installed on a 100GB partition.

Thanks for responding. I'm actually trying to set up the Mac mii as my VMware ESXi 5 server (per Paraguin software guide, see http://paraguin.com/2012/01/10/the-mac-mini-vmware-esxi-5-server-part-2-installa tion/
Nobody following their procedures and posting on their site has had any (reported) video issues, but that was my guess, that somehow video drivers are not being loaded.
BTW, did you mean "hold the option key" at bootup cause my mac keyboard doesn't have an alt key?
Thanks. Still looking for other options.

  • Received a replacement ipod nano in early January . Works well in a sound system but keeps turning off when earphones are used. tried 3 pair but same result. When tried for support comes up as  expires. Says I have to purchase . Why????

Received an ipod nano replacement in January. It works in a sound system but keeps turning itself of or loosing sound when earphones are used. I have tried several sets os earphones with the same result. When I just tried to seek support my Serial number comes up with warranty expired although the letter says 3 mths warranty. What gives Apple ??? Any one any advice??/

This is usually an indication that your headphones are not plugged all the way in.  The white plastic part of the headphones should be flush with the Nano and no silver from the plug should still be visible.  The headphone jacks on the new 6G Nanos are a bit tighter than previous generations, so it requires a bit of extra push to get the headphones to pop all the way in.
Also check make sure the jack is clear of debris such as lint.

  • Connection Failed and WebDAV screen appear when attempting to backup iTunes

When I try to backup all of my music in iTunes, I get the following message and screen appear. Click on the link to see a picture of these:
    http://homepage.mac.com/louh/PhotoAlbum44.html
Why is this message and screen appearing and should I type in my information on the WebDAV screen or am I being hacked? To backup my iTunes, I clicked File>Backup to Disc>Backup entire iTunes Library and Playlist.
Thanks for any help or suggestions,
    Lou

In addition, if I opened iDisk and had the icon sitting on my desktop the 'Connection Failed" error message appeared but I was able to cancel it. Without iDisk open I could not get rid of the error message unless i force quit. I'm thinking that at some point I put some music into iDisk (don't remember ever doing this) and this may be causing the problems. The backup appeared to work even though I didn't test it.
Still wonder if I found an exploitable hack? I'm glad I didn't give out my user name and password!

You'll have to do two things.. Elaborate on exactly what you mean by a white screen appears. What is turning white? Are you generating a SWF from captivate of a screen capture session, then trying to load that SWF with a wrapper and when you do so it turns white? (In that scenario, if Captivate was looking for external assets it can't find, that'd be why). Please include more details on that.
Second, code of this size pasted into the forum really doesn't help. You'll need to do the work to isolate exactly what part of the code you're seeing this white box appear. Run it in a debugger line by line until you witnesss it turn white and only share that small portion of code. And if you do choose to share a ton of code, please use a site like pastebin.com which will retain formatting and color coding, making it much easier to read, and then share that pastebin link.

  • CCS-Blank screen appears when Comm Management Profile is assigned

    Hi,
We are trying to configure the contact center simulator on CRM 2007.
but when we assign the comm management profile to the business role- ic_agent a blank screen appears on the UI , if we remove the same , view on UI  seems to be fine with all the links.
If any of you have faced a similar issue please let me know how this can be resolved.
    Regards
    Prathiba

    Hi,
Have you done the Communication Management Profile configurations and settings appropriately. To be specific please ensure that you have taken care of the following:
Maintain communication management software profiles in the Customizing activity
    1. Define Communication Management Software Profiles.
    2. Assign the communication management software profile to a business role in the Customizing activity Define Business Role.
    3. Maintain communication management software system settings in the SAP Easy Access Menu by choosing Maintain System Settings.
    4. System administrators define the communication management software channels and queues in this activity.
    5. The Com Mgmt Software System ID must have the same value as the Com Mgmt Software System ID in Maintain Communication Management Software Connections (Prerequisites).
    6. You must maintain this activity in each system instance, for example, development, test, and production.
    7. Assign communication management software profiles in the SAP Easy Access Menu by choosing Assign Profiles.
    8. System administrators assign communication management software queues and channels to profiles in this activity.
    9. You must maintain this activity in each system instance, for example, development, test, and production

  • White screen appears when I play a downloaded movie

When I play a movie after I have downloaded it a white screen appears. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have any suggestions on how fix this? I don't think it is a connection issue as I can play movie previews and trailers perfectly fine.

    Smithy1783 wrote:
Through trial and error I can only glean that the problem is with the way in which the devices handshake at the point when they switch off - either explicitly or shut down suddenly when the lid is shut on my laptop or the battery goes flat.
I think that the issue does indeed lie with individual network components but my network is entirely Apple excepting the USB ext HDD that is attached to my AEBS. My house is quite small and signal strength is not an issue. I even use 802.11n on 5GHz to minimise the risk of interference... so I think that I should reasonably expect Apple to resolve such issues.
i don't know which particular problem you are talking about (possible the white screen issue), but i would assume your TV is not an apple product? an HDMI handshake is usually what causes the white screen issue, and apple have no control over how a TV manufacturer implements their own unique way for HDMI handling.
HDMI although a standard, still is quite shaky amongst lots of devices.

  • Apple logo (reboot screen) appears when iPad left charging

    Hi there,
Recently when I leave my iPad connected to my Mac Mini via the USB sync/charge cable, after a number of hours the "reboot screen" (Apple logo on black background) appears overlaid with the spinning progress wheel icon (see photo below) until I disconnect the iPad from the cable, at which time the regular unlock screen appears and everything behaves normally. I'm using a 3rd-party USB docking stand - could this be the problem?
You can see some photos of this strange behaviour at:
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/310720/IMG_0497.jpg
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/310720/IMG_0495.jpg
    Thanks in advance,
    Greg

It seems possible that the docking stand could be the culprit. If you try charging by plugging the supplied power adapter that came with your iPad into a wall socket and your iPad doesn't display that screen, I think that will answer your question.
If you reach a certain lower battery level on the iPad, it is not uncommon for the iPad to reboot - if it has been powered off - when you plug the supplied USB cable into a wall socket in order to recharge. However it will fully reboot and the spinning wheel will not be there.

  • "White Screen" appears when I play a movie

    Hello,
I am trying to play a movie in Apple QuickTime 7 Pro and for some reason a white screen appears with no volume when the movie is played. Also, I get a window popping up saying "Some necessary QuickTime software is missing. It may be available on the QuickTime Web Site." I clicked on the link and tried downloading all the codecs that were available from the Apple QuickTime website. Unfortunately, none of the codecs seem to work. I am just wondering if there is a specific codec I need to download to slove this problem.
    Thank you,
    Justine

Since your profile says you are using a Mac you would be more likely to get an answer to this question by posting in the QT for MacOS group.
    http://discussions.info.apple.com/webx?[email protected]^[email protected]
But the short answer is that you do not have the video decompressor for that particular movie. Open the movie again and then open the MovieInfo window (Command-I). You should then see the compressors listed that were used in making the movie. Post the names in the Mac group and someone will possibly be able to point you to a web site that has the decompressor. It would also help if you list the movie format (avi, mov, etc) of the file.

  • How to deal with dynamic selection screen elements when macros are used?

    Hello experts,
This is regarding the dynamic selection screen elements. Actually the requirement is to modify the existing standard report program RFUMSV00 by copying it into a Z report, adding a few selection screen elements and new fields in the output. I actually did everything required except for the one thing that is going out of my reach.
There are a certain fields which are coming when they are not supposed to get displayed. I don't understand the code because of its obsoleteness. Neither can I debug it because it is just data declaration.
This is the code where there is a fault. If I copy the entire code into a new Z report, I'm getting new fields like Entry Date, Document Type, Reference Transaction,  Reference key, Logical system.
      DEFINE selection_screen_line.
      selection-screen: begin of line.
      parameters &3 like &4 default 'X' modif id mc4.
      selection-screen: comment (30) &1 for field &3 modif id mc4.
      selection-screen: comment pos_low(10) text-019
for field &2 modif id mc4.  "neu
      parameters &2 like rfums_alv-variante modif id mc4.
      selection-screen:
          position pos_high.
      selection-screen: pushbutton (15) text-028
                        user-command &5 modif id mc4.
      selection-screen end of line.
    END-OF-DEFINITION.
Kindly, suggest me the right solution.

In the program attributes ( SE38 > RFUMSV00 > GOTO > Properties ), you will find a logical database BRF declared. The include DBBRFSEL is part of the selection screen of this logical database.
The selection screen is actually the selection screen of this logical database.
Under the Logical Database field, there is a Selection screen field where you can input which selection screen of the logical database to be used.
But, this is just to change the selection screen that is displayed. To completely suppress it you need to remove logical database declaration from the properties of the program and call it inside your program through function module.
You cannot just remove it from the declaration because many of its variables are used in the program.
So call it using function module as the first step in INITIALIZATION section of the program.
The syntax and function module to call it in your program can be found in the following thread :
How to hide the selection screen of a Logical datebase?

    Ashish
